Hes acually color blind and that's why he only sees chartreuse. Lol I'm obviously joking thanks for the lure advice. Keep them coming !
Thanks for watching!
Video has been out a year and only has one dislike. Just goes to show how great your videos are. I just started fly fishing this last Saturday and your channel has been a huge resource. Thanks for all you guys do.
Thanks! We usually get more. Brian must have been slacking on this one. Haters make us famous so he failed on this one.
"It ain't no use if it ain't chartreuse." :)
Ditto.
I just wanted to say thank you. We’ve never met but you taught me to fly fish. Have been spin cast fishing most of my life but after watching your videos decided to give fly fishing a shot, and I fell in love with it instantly. Your videos are appreciated, and the information very informative. I’m now tying as well so those videos are great too. Please keep up the great work and again, the time you spend making these videos are very appreciated. Take care, and good fishing.
Thanks so much for being here and please stay tuned.
That sneaky pete is by far the best smallmouth fly. We used it lots on Little River lake is Nova Scotia in late June when the dragon flies are mating.
Thanks for watching.
Just a heads up Brian, you can also get those poppers in chartreuse. Check it out!
We'll tell him to look into it. Don't think he realizes.
The Bendbacks are so good.
One of the most overlooked styles of flies these days!
Interested to see how the swimmy Jimmy worked for you in Alaska , said hi to you at the Anchorage airport . Guess we should be some content on that soon :-)
Got a video on the way. He slayed Rainbows with it on the Naknek.
Great video Brian 🎣👍. Not alot of places in B.C. 🇨🇦 , to catch Bass. Not like Back in Ontario 😄🎣😝
Come visit us in Ohio!!!
Nice! I am finally getting on the water on monday looking forward to throwing some of those poppers.
Excellent! Let us know how you do!
Very nice selection , I use woolly buggers , Boogle bugs and sneaky petes
Smallmouth luckily aren't too picky. Alot of flies will work. Thanks for watching.
Thank you Brian for the quick response and sending me to this link!
Thanks for watching. We'll pass on to Brian.
I’m a Columbus local obsessed with fly fishing! Just wondering where you filmed this video? Olentangy, mad river, big Darby?
Hey Gabriel, thanks for watching! We can't spoil the spot on here, however, give us a call or email at the shop and I'm sure they guys would be more than happy to give a local some insider information 😉
Great fly patterns. I am wondering though why the game changer patterns are not in the list. They swim better than than anything I've ever tied. Again just wondering :)
He said that he can't afford them so hasn't fished them much. If you watch Pat's video on smallmouth flies they are on the list. He ties his own.
@@Madriveroutfitters awesome... thanking Mad River Outfitters for all your vids. Tight lines gentlemen
Man I love you these videos are the best thank you so much
Thanks for being here.
Thanks for the suggestions helpful as always. Do you happen to have a video on how to fish with a cray fish fly and what's the name of the song at the end? Lol
Not sure on the crayfish video but we'll put it on the list. All music is just stock for videos, no names to the songs. Thanks.
Nice video. Thanks
Thanks for being here.
One word...CLOUSER in chartreuse!
Hard to beat that!
Remembering my childhood friend Billy Conlon.
Thanks for watching.
Chartreuse poppers have never failed to catch me bass and panfish.
And probably never will! Thanks for watching.
Nice!!
Thanks for being here.
I noticed the mad river hat. You based in Columbus? Great vid btw

So you use a sinking tip leader and what size tippet for bass and how long of that tippet?
R GONZALES No, a sink tip line. Not leader. Please email or call Brian at the shop and he’ll be happy to answer your questions.
No swing D or Game changers? I’d definitely add them to your box.
He's hard headed. If it ain't a Swimmin' Jimmy he's not overly interested.
Where is the video on tying the prince of tides bend back?
Coming soon! Please stay tuned.
Hello Brian
Are these flies good for New England fishing also. ?
Anywhere.
Quick question, what is the correct setup to use a Clouser Minnow on? I have an intermediate sinking line, Brian mentions he doesn't use clouser's with an intermediate or sinking line...I guess my question is: WHY?
Thanks for watching. Please send those questions over to Brian at the shop directly and he'll be happy to help/answer. You can call or e-mail.
He said he uses a sink tip with floating line
Sinking tip fly line for all the flies you mention here?
Most likely. Don't usually see him fish otherwise.
What size are those Booglebugs you're holding?
Size 4 on those.
www.madriveroutfitters.com/p-7324-boogle-bullets.aspx
Do you fish most of your small mouth streamers with that short a leader like the Swimmy Jimmy?
Please send your questions over to Brian at the shop and he'll be happy to answer. Send him an e-mail or give him a call. Thanks.
What are the differences between Steelhead Flies and Bass Flies? I'm new to this and the both seem to look similar to me. Can they be interchangeable?
Other than poppers and eggs of course
Great question to send over to the shop. They will be happy to consult there. admin@madriveroutfitters.com or give them a call. Thanks.
What rod size you using for smallmouth?
5-7wt but depends on the flies, the water and the size of the fish. Please contact the shop directly if you have any further questions. Thanks.
Is there any chance at all i can get a free swimmy jimmy
Call Brian at the shop? You never know.
If it ain't Chartreuse, It ain't no use!
Well said.
Lol so chartreuse
Exactly.
