    Excellent review, well researched! Would love to get a collection photo from someone who owns this piece for my watch enthusiast website.

    How many screws are on the bezel?

    Great watch! I’m definitely trading my 2018 903 St BE for a newer version of the same, or the LE version. I own a Navitimer as well (pre B01 movement) and may upgrade that as well. I wear my Sinn much more frequently simply because it’s been more durable because of the water resistance with a screw down crown. I’ve worn it swimming at the lake many times. My Navi had to be repaired after I jumped in a pool with it on believing its slight water resistance would be ok…it wasn’t and stared fogging up the next day. It cost over $1,000 for the repair (which is the general $$ range to service or repair most Swiss mechanical watches). Bravo Sinn for upgrading and making an overall better/durable watch IMO! 👏👏

      I'd pretty much get a Sinn over the Breitling equivalent any time. That new 903 ST is great.

    It's a good movement and the specs are amazing. The old inner rotating bezel was unusable. Breitling has said several times, that water resistance on a Navitimer is impossible.
    I'm going to acquire this timepiece.

      Sinn definitely out engineered them on this one, and really listened to watch enthusiasts on what to change from the old 903. I'm sure you'll enjoy this new one!

    I have six Breitling watches, including a Navitimer, but I really like this Sinn. The main issue with Breitling Navitimers is their lack of waterproofness.

      Indeed. The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch is even worse.

    The fact that the near $10,000 Breitling Navitimer is only 3 bar water resistant is absolutely ridiculous and unforgivable. It was essentially the sole purpose I chose the Sinn 903 over the Breitling.

    I like history this model and new release is so pretty. I have the same movement LJP in my FC and I can definitely recommended. I hate sport watches even flieger watches that have 3 or 5 ATM WR. Sinn has amazing 20 ATM WR.
    Overall very very well.🤩🤩

    I was yesterday in the Sinn Boutique in Frankfurt.
    The iced blue is limited on 500 pieces and solled out yesterday.
    But mostly by online orders, with a waiting time of over a half year. So still possible to inroll into the waiting list and hope that some quick online clicker do jump off.

  • @johnnyguitar6697

    Agree that it would be better without the date, if it could shave off 1mm. But at 14.5mm, it's not a train wreck for thickness, like some of the other Sinn chronographs that are 17mm tall. In any event, the date would not stop me from buying it, especially the dark blue version, which is stunning. And that 200m water resistance is a huge bonus. Frankly, why anyone would buy a Breitling Navitimer at twice the cost of this Sinn is beyond me.

    Very nice. I looked online for other versions and there's one with a Lemania movement, the 903 1873, which I think I prefer.

    I am still wondering should I go A23322 with 7750 or this Sinn. One one hand I will have the Breitling heritage and all, on the other the masterfully build 903 that looks like A23322, but it's not A23322.
    This version of Navitimer at least for me - is the best modern Navitimer ever made as I am not a fan of the modern ones and I love the simplicity and robustness of 7750

    • @americanlegendswatches
      @americanlegendswatches  8 месяцев назад

      Yup, that's the exact Navi that I have. Can't go wrong with that choice as long as the movement has been kept up.

    • @GuentherJarsen

      If you know that Sinn owns the patents originally owned by Breitling for the Navitimer you should ask yourself what kind of heritage you are referring to…

  • @drnick40

    Won’t ever trade a B01 for a La Joux Perret. Sinn makes terrific watches but not quite there. Breitling Navitimer is a legendary watch.

    • @matteocavaliere8245
      @matteocavaliere8245 6 месяцев назад

      Honestly for less than half the price you’re definitely getting more than half the navitimer. The LJP movement is great and rivals or beats the ETA Valjoux 7550, but I’ve also seen the LJP in watches costing just under $1500. That’s probably what would hold me back.

    I want the two crown older 903ST

    • @chronocommander007
      @chronocommander007 3 месяца назад

      Obviously you like what you like. The inner rotating bezel is excruciating to use. The extra crown means another potential water entry point. Obviously, the externally rotating bezel is also a water entry point. However, with 200 m WR vs 100m with the older version, the newer version seems functionally superior. By the way, 30 years ago, the 903 had a telemeter scale on the dial that allowed measuring distance based on sound and sight.

    Service and maintenance advantages to this Sinn, but for the price I'd rather get a used Navi. Overpriced in my opinion when the original is available.

    With my full respect to sinn and this watch specifically, but I would not buy this watch. I would buy the real thing from breitling. Plus B01 is far superior movement

    • @valjean3141
      @valjean3141 8 месяцев назад +5

      B01 ought to be at least twice as good a movement, given a watch that’s twice as expensive. Everyone is going to have subjective values in choosing between these - but to me , the Sinn appeals specifically because it’s not a Breitling, and yet has its own 40+ year history behind it. It’s a nice choice to have, depending on what each of us likes specifically.

      The real Breitling ceased to exist in 1978 and sold the production rights for the real Navitimer to Sinn, while Sicura bought the right to name itself "Breitling" and to sell watches with the name "Navitimer". So the Navitimer design was inherited by Sinn, while the company that calls itself "Breitling" has just copied it.

    • @americanlegendswatches
      @americanlegendswatches  8 месяцев назад +1

      I don't think it's totally fair to say that Sicura bought Breitling. Ernest Schneider, the former head of Sicura, bought Breitling (at the behest of the elderly Willy Breitling), and with it the rights to continue making and selling all the Breitling watches, not just the navitimer. From what I understand, it was his decision to stop making navitimers for several years, and his decision to reintroduce it, with the valjoux movement, several years later. I think he deserves a lot of credit for essentially saving the company from oblivion, while introducing his own innovation, the tabs at 12, 3, 6, and 9, that are now part of the icons of the Breitling design language.

      We have 3 Navitimers at home, two of which are B01s for myself and the Mrs at 41 and 46mm. I want this Sinn just because. It is still a Navitimer in spirit and good to have as a comparison. I know that the main watch face dial has been cropped out for the chronograph subdials and this would be a good comparison as to how Sinn and Breitling has progressed the design over the years
