So true , Band of Brothers is an incredible series, one of mh favorite mini series, amazingly the small amount of special effects they use, holds up to this day almost 20 years later.
My great uncle faught in the battle of the bulge he was a MP the family didn't know much about his service he did not talk about it. It wasn't until his death when the family had learned he had faught in the battle of the bulge. War is brutal and soldiers on both sides commit atrocities but as you said the to the victor go the spoils. It's kind of sad that even 80 years later this has to be explained to most people. 4:00 No, combined-arms warfare wasn't a lot to ask to the Wehrmacht, they made it into the blitzkrieg and they were the first to understand the value of coordination and organization, what they lucked was fuel, artillery (if we compare the numbers to the allies wich on west and east used superior firepower extensively), and as pointed out, all new divisions weren't as efficient and the old ones had been crippled by years of fighting, this was one last attempt at turning the tide, and it failed, but it surely wasn't because the Germans couldn't use combined-arms warfare. (I know they didn't have air superiority, of wich the close air support is part of combined-arms, I just didn't point out it before because it seemed out of place, and anyway, it's not like they lacked the theory nor the practice, they just couldn't apply it in the field)
About state of German troops during Ardennes Offensive there is very interesting input by Steven Zaloga during one of conferences - video from this is available on YT. Strongly advise to watch that, some stories are hillarious (especially about 3rd Fallschirmjaeger Division).

8:44 It's a common misconception that the French thought it was impossible that the German would go through the Ardenne Forest. Several French Officer raise their concern bout that sector and there was a field exercise in a countering a theoretical thrust through the Ardenne Forest . It was the French High Command think it was unlikely and also intelligence mishaps stating that if there were to be a thrust through the Ardenne Forest, it would be a diversionary attack rather than the main attack. During the battle, the French knew there was a thrust through the Ardenne Forest and prepared a counter attack after the Germans crosses the single lone bridge across the Meuse River but due to not wanting to use the radios, the officer wanting to have the physical order in his hands, and time delays in gathering the troops and tanks, it didn't happened.
Not to mention the Ardennes was one of the areas the Germans attacked through in WW1 when attacking France. So not only did they have 1940 as a warning they did it before ,but also the attack into it in August of 1914 if I remember correctly.
You should react to their song "Hearts of Iron". It's about the actions of a German general, Walther Wenck, during the last days of WWII, and how he disobeyed direct orders to use his men to try and stop the Soviets, and instead focused on getting civilians out of Berlin before the city fell.
If you want another music video and history video, I recommend Seven pillars of wisdom, It is about Lawrence of Arabia, And they visit one of the camp sites that they were at and also they went to egypt and Syria for the videos

Hopefully, going to the UK? O.o Now, most people go to London as tourists. Yeah there is a lot of History and historical sites and graves near and in London. I'd always recommend Portsmouth (in the very south) as the second-best place to go though.. It's got various UK military museums, such as the HMS Victory which was converted into a museum. So lots of cool stuff there too.
