Dave if your moving the GS on it has to be the 1250GS as a replacement, YOU know it makes sense

Ha ha, I did the same today with a cop bike but he was not in a hurry and did give me a nod. Screen dilemmas. I’ve gone back to the original Honda screen. My VFR’s playing up with regulator/rectifier issues at the moment so my therapy is fixing it and then jumping on the VF which at 41yrs old never misses a beat. VFR’s 22 yrs old a gen 6.
How's your experience with the original one?
Great chat help me get over a failure after attempting a timing belt change on my sons Hyundai but unable to undo the lower pulley bolt,time to invest in more powerful kit.working on the two motorcycles I own currently much easier than working on a car.if the GS is having issues maybe it’s time to look at a new adventure bike and Suzuki always appear to offer good value.

Great vlog as usual Dave. Pertly due to you I’ve just bought myself a 2007 Honda Blackbird. These older bikes really are absolute bargains. Time will tell if I’ve made the correct decision because it was a close run thing between this and the vfr.

Hello Dave, I just rode over to Dublin and back, from Gloucestershire, for a business meeting on my Goldwing DCT. The weather was glorious, 24 degrees in Bray in May 😂, and I found the DCT in Dublin so helpful. I did debate buying an AT ES DCT but with panniers that would have made lane splitting much harder. Safe travels.
The attitude of Insta 360 to accurate feedback they wanted to hide is very telling. It would make me a slower to choose them knowing that.
Long time watcher. I don’t comment much on any channel. With the run of luck you have had with the GS I wouldn’t blame you for going to another brand. I have a dinosaur of a 1200 GS (05) I have looked at a few other brands. To be honest if I had the money to change in the morning it would probably be a 1250 GS for the reason of the comfort I get on the trembling tractor. I sat on an 18 reg Africa twin and hated it for being so top heavy. I test rode an older tracer 9 I liked it but didn’t like the throttle lag that was in low throttle areas around town. But best of luck with your decision and choices.

No doubt you will get lots of suggestions for your next motorbike. I've just got an Energica Experia, a wonderful Italian machine. Now I've got to sell my Zero DSR, which I rode all around Ireland 2 years ago, even on farm tracks (it is a dual sport machine). I found Ireland has more charging stations per square km than England.
I was out up the north east coast today, up for the North west 200 and took a detour on my vfr, I agree, I have been blaming my relatively new arai helmet but the fact is, the VFR is a deafening bike to ride especially with a full delkevicexhaustfitted, ive tried everything to stop the wind noise tumbling around in my helmet but to no avail Great day for a ride though.
Such a shame about the wind noise. Otherwise it would be the best bike ever built imo.

I was up northern Ireland to watch the NW200 last weekend on the VFR, we got a ferry from Cairnryan to Larne, done just over 600 mile on the old girl, weather was amazing really enjoyed it, if I’m honest I was thinking about selling the vfr, replacing it with street triple rs just like yours but after this trip no way, I need a vfr in my life, it’s comfortable, sporty and full of character my only issue is previous owner fitted a 200mm black widow end cans it’s a bit too loud for my liking, I’m going to see if I could find someone with 300mm cans that they want to swap if not going to buy new. I wish my garage was big enough for two bikes I would definitely keep this bike buy street triple rs or MT09 sp for short weekend blasts, maybe I need to change the house, I may suggest this idea to Mrs 😂

Dave, have you updated to the latest DJI firmware for the transmitter? DJI Mic 2 Firmware v04.04.05.13（Transmitters) If not, may be try the method below.
Once the latest firmware is downloaded, make sure the Pocket 3 is OFF. Then connect the Mic 2 to the computer via the USB-C cable, the Mic 2 can be ON or OFF.
Place the downloaded firmware, '.bin file', in the root directories of the folder.
Once it has copied to the root directories folder, eject the folder and detach the cable from the the Mic 2.
If the Mic 2 was ON, it will start updating automatically, otherwise, turn it ON. The Mic 2 will blink red and green during the update.
Once the update has installed, the Mic 2 will flash blue, back to its normal state.
Turn on your Pocket 3 and allow it to connect to the Mic 2. Then head over to the Wireless Mic settings in the Pocket 3 and scroll down to the Auto Power Off button and select as desired.

Hi Dave. Great VLOG. A couple of pointers I was hoping I might get from this video, but missed. I have put out a couple of videos on my VFR on the Spannerrash channel which I got shortly after you got yours. TBH I was looking for one anyway, and you gave me a bit of confirmation bias :)
I am wondering which screen, extender, you are going back to? I put a PUIG one on mine, no extender, and I don't feel that the wind issue is better, in fact it might be worse. I have literally just put the standard screen back on to try for a while. But I'm not sure it isn't just in my head because of seeing other people comment on it. I wonder if somebody frequently rides a bike with a big screen like a GS that the wind noise on the VFR becomes more of an issue, because it is a more relaxed ride than being on a sporty bike where your attention is elsewhere.
The other thing I am interested in is settings for the DJI Mic 1? I don't seem to be able to get a good sound from mine, I have tried using them with the receiver and as standalone, but they always seem a bit too flat, I am starting to wonder if there might be an issue with one or both of my transmitters.

Suzuki 1050 is a tall bike, I haven’t ridden one but I have sat one. Too tall for me, but it does look good! I just picked up a 2023 Moto Guzzi V85TT, I’m in love! Check one out.
Yeah I do like the look of the 1050’s in real life rather than pics. I’m supposed to be test riding a V85TT soon.
Have you considered the New Moto Guzzi Stelvio with the 1042cc watercooled engine as a possible replacement for your 2016 BMW 1200 GS. Even if you didn't decide on buying one, it would be great if you could loan one for a review and hear your thoughts on them. I've had a Guzzi Norge for over 10 years, so already like Moto Guzzi.
Great video, I too thought the respect for the funeral was a classy, respectful touch (something that I feel is sadly lacking in our current society). Dave, you mentioned the Neotech 3, myself and wifey currently wear Neotech 2 and to upgrade both helmets and matchinh intercomms is pushing £2k (!!!) so my question to you is, in real world situations is the Neotech 3 a worthy upgrade from the 2??
Thanks David. I’m afraid I might be the wrong one to ask as I never had the Neotec2, I only have the GT Air2. That’s a lot of money to upgrade though. Saying all that, the Neotec3 is a brilliant helmet in every way. I was out this morning with it flipped up the total ride and there was no neck pain or fatigue after a 3hr spin.
