    I bought a Cricut a couple years ago and it's a lovely desk ornament. You kept saying the program was easy to use but my head was spinning! lol Love the ease of these cards. Maybe I should dust off my machine and learn how to use it.

    • @lostinpaper
      @lostinpaper  2 года назад +1

      Hahaha what a lovely desk ornament you have Maxine lol. Why not start really simple and cut out a premade sentment, or a silhouette image to add to a card. Or recreate my card and follow along with the video. I am happy to help you can email me with any questions and I will try and find the answers if I don't know them as I am a beginner too. ps Don't forget to update your computer software if it's been a while since you've turned it on.

    My Cricut is still in the box over a year later. Intimidated, and I had been told recently that it has a steep learning curve 😱. You mentioned it wasn’t difficult to do the cuts for these. • @alexistroncoso9710

      OMG!! The same happens to me, but with silhouette Cameo. As a little advice, start with this kind of videos, first from the program and then the cuts. I’m not gonna say is easy but if I can do with a little practice, everyone can. Good luck and take this as an opportunity to use it. When U start, nothing could stop U later. Merry Xmas!!!

      If you already have it then you may as well have fun with it Ruth. I simply watched a couple of setup videos to make sure that the software etc was up to date (especially if you haven't ever turned it on). It was very easy to do that and then I would suggest a simple project like cut out a sentiment or a silhouette to use on a card just to practice finding images etc.
      You do get a month of free Design Space to have access to but DON'T access that until you have time to play and have learned more about the machine. Start by just using the free images and fonts for practice. Then when you are awesome at the program use the free month access then.
      Here are some fab tutorials that I watched
      ruclips.net/video/WDauTtPdZq8/видео.html
      ruclips.net/video/kND68tSuPus/видео.html
      Hope this is helpful. I am happy for you to ask me if you have any questions and I will answer them if I can or find out if I can't lol. I am new to this but really there is so much information out there that I did find it easy overall.

    • @traceybartlam5940
      @traceybartlam5940 2 года назад

      Design space is really not a steep learning curve at all. I’m not great with tech and tbh it’s the most straightforward software I’ve used! It’s just a case of opening up the software and having a play. Put some shapes on the mat and try different buttons to see what you can do alongside a RUclips video. There are lots of good simple ones that cover what each button does. Cricut software actually helps you with the cutting process as it tells you what to do and outs everything on the mat in colour groups. Good luck and have fun

    • @traceybartlam5940
      @traceybartlam5940 2 года назад

      @@alexistroncoso9710 silhouette studio is definitely more of a learning curve BUT it does so much more than Cricut software it’s an excellent design software but learning to edit nodes etc is more to learn. I’ve enjoyed learning it but lots to learn.

    Love these cards. The design is so cute. I haven't used my Cricut in a long time. Something always goes wrong to frustrate me, lol. Your tutorial is great. I've never used the slice tool before. Maybe my old expression 2 doesn't have it. I made a shaker card for Christmas and the shaker bits exploded out of it. 🎊This prompted me to throw every bottle of glitter I owned and had been hoarding in the trash! I'm only using chunky bits from now on. 😁

    • @lostinpaper
      @lostinpaper  2 года назад +1

      hahaha Lori, now all I can see is 'glitter everywhere' lol. As for the Cricut I think the slice tool has more to do with the program in Design Space and not the actual 'age' of the machine, as long as you have the updated version of Design Space and it is compatible with your machine then it should work (though I may be wrong as I only have had experience with the Maker).

    • @traceybartlam5940
      @traceybartlam5940 2 года назад

      If it’s an old expression you can’t use the current Design Space software as the old machines are not supported anymore. The Design Space software will be for Explore and Maker machines. You can still use old machines with cartridges but only with the cartridges as the can’t be used with Design Space. The slice feature is a feature in design space.
