Not that much makes me smile these days. THIS VST PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE. I was absolutely shocked. I got the trial, loaded up one of my guitar riffs, and the drums made my riffs COME ALIVE. I am the worlds worst drum programmer. I just don't know enough about groove. This lets me focus on my guitar playing and have INCREDIBLE sounding drums at my disposal. I am SOLD on this VST hard. 10 years with Kontakt Studio Drummer...bye bye. Hello EZ Drummer!!!!
love this feature, i doubt i will use it a lot, but i will definitely throw some really wild stuff at it like found sounds or sound fx with unusual rhythms and see what it will come up with :)
Unfortunately I mic heavily distorted guitars..however...this upgrade is friggin amazing how ever you apply it...the many new features will cover all your needs...it's a song writers dream!!!
Just bought Ezdrummer 3 and I love it! I just have one request. That you can use the audio sender plugin that works with ezbass. That way I don’t have to export my guitar files from my DAW just to drag them back into Ezdrummer 3. However everything else is awesome! Thanks guys for all you do!
good Idea, tried it just 5min ago, not my Cup of Tea but cool for Inspiration or Beginners who did not spend all their Cash in Midi Packs - YET 😎 EZ3 is cool tho - the Kicks are Punchy and Deep - the Snares juicy and the Hats not just high Frequency Noise in a Chorus Part with dist. @@23Darrus it would be convenient but Waves SSL and Fabfilter will take the drums in the mix to the next level. Get them Eq’d once and save the tracks as a Drum template in your DAW. Load Drum template and you’ve got the perfect drum buss instantly. It’s still gonna be near perfect even if you decide to change different kits. Each instrument will still go out to the designated tracks that you have pre EQ’d. EZ PZ. Set it and forget it.
Im wondering: is this all possible within a DAW. Like recording your Guitar and place the just recorded Track from your Daw into this Bandmate Tab? If it is, thats the best thing ever done. If not and you need to seperatly export your File to drag and drop it in, its really not the workflow im looking for. Im kinda suprised that there was no mention about this in the Video. This whould be a huge selling point if its working. atleast for me btw, what about odd time signatures and triplet grooves
Can you show the full length of song with the bandmate? You guys are always showing part of the song in the promotion video and I want to see how the drum really structures out until the end of the song. I want to see many drum patterns in one full length of song and not just one or two drum patterns like within a minute
Would be neat if it would train the AI based on an imported midi pack so it suggests to a players style. Also great if it would incorporate fills and toms too! Maybe in a future update? Is it possible to humanize within the bandmate AI process like when editing the loop? Would be great if I could record the audio or play from daw into bandmate so I don't have to search for files to import.

Unbelievably frustrating not being able to do double time in bandmate. I write metal music, I don't always want a straight beat, which is all I get from bandmate.
With the drag and drop have you got any instructions for Logic Pro and how this will integrate within the DAW ? Can you just drag and drop the recording you have made in the DAW or do you have to export it out before dragging it into Bandmate? In which case how do you align it with the recording you made in the DAW?

So in general, Bandmate works best if I only important one section of the song at a time? ie: just a verse, save, drive to the song timeline, then import the chorus? All of the same project file? I ended up creating three different project files for three different sections of my song for the three grooves and I don’t think I did that the most proficient way.
Why does it only give results from the EZD3 stock midi library? The results are pretty basic and not that great. I have a TON of Toontrack drum midi and I was really looking forward to this feature analyzing all my midi and suggesting grooves from all the midi packs. I've used the find similar grooves function but the suggestions are based off the pretty generic stock library so not a lot of variation comes up there. Hopefully there is a way to have it match against my purchased midi?

I am interested in getting EZdrummer 3. However, I have never had any previous versions of EZdrummer and there are a couple of things I don't quite understand. Hopefully someone familiar can assist me before I make my purchase. I see that there are, in addition to EZdrummer 3, a number EZX expansion packs and also the MIDI drum packs. What is the difference between the EZX expansion pakcs and the MIDI drum packs? Also, it seems many of the EZX expansion packs came out for EZdrummer 2. If I buy EZdrummer 3, are there of these expansion packs or associated drum kits already included? I don't want to invest in additional packs if a number of those items are included in EZdrummer 3 already.
EZD3 Will include a couple of drum kits and some midi file grooves to go along. The EZX packs include a new drumkit each along with a new set of midi grooves. But you also have the option to just buy the midi grooves by them selves for use on the standard kits. In my opinion, do that. At least dont bother buying all the old EZX kits unless you really want a specific kit. Maybe check out some of the newer EZX2 expansions. In case you dont know, midi doesnt carry audio, just information on when a note should be played and how hard. Hope that helps you
Unfortunately, using audio from my current daw project crashes ezdrummer 3 when i drop it into the bandmate. This feature is incredible, but I don't think it is very useful for songwriting if I have to close the project that I am working on to be able to use the audio file. The crashing also occurs even when I load ezdrummer 3 in stand-alone mode. For what it is worth, I am using Ableton 11 Standard. Maybe this is only an Ableton issue? This was easily the feature I was most looking forward to playing with, but there are a lot of hoops to jump through the way I see it.

Struggles heavily with mixed meter. If you have a bar of 5/8, then a bar of 4/4, you need to input them separately which makes it super super chunky and awkward.
I wanted to ask exactly that! It would be great if you have a drum wav and import it to EZ Drummer 3 and have it spit drum MIDI out. But whole song in wav? That would be really sick, as you said it. AI is going in that direction

I can not get this to work with Pro Tools, actually what I had to do was export the clip, then import it into bandmate, but, I could not drag it from the project edit window, onto the EZ3 drummer Bandmate interface, so it's a real buzz kill, plus, I do a lot of jazz and swing, and this program is not really strong in that area, I did buy the Al Schmitt" Big Band Add Pack, and the Jazz Add pack, but it is still rather week IMO

OK I had EZDRM2 not I have purchased 3 but they sent me 3 different install files one is for EZ3 and the others are for EZ2 and EZ2 EXP sounds. What do I do update 2 first then install 3 ????

Hi Harry, the bandmate should be able to receive sound from any audio interface as long as your computer detects it as an audio device. If you can record into a DAW, you should be able to record into the bandmate tab.

Nice feature but for the moment it don’t work with audio files recorded in cubase AI . You can drag midi files from cubase project but not audio files , no idea why 🤷🏻♂️

Hi, the EZdrummer 3 timeline features a tempo and time signature editor that you can add changes to. The Bandmate timeline currently only works in the static tempo that you set when you are importing the audio.
I don't follow the developments, but do we already have a full set of tools, that can automatically follow each other, so it makes masterpiece without human input whatsoever? Well that would simplify the entire "art" thing a bit.
This is a brilliant addition to the original EzDrummer2! You set a new standard again!

plus you can save money because you dont need an interface and microphones which is so worth it..

I can not get this to work with Pro Tools, actually what I had to do was export the clip, then import it into bandmate, but, I could not drag it from the project edit window, onto the EZ3 drummer Bandmate interface, so it's a real buzz kill, plus, I do a lot of jazz and swing, and this program is not really strong in that area, I did buy the Al Schmitt" Big Band Add Pack, and the Jazz Add pack, but it is still rather week IMO

OK I had EZDRM2 not I have purchased 3 but they sent me 3 different install files one is for EZ3 and the others are for EZ2 and EZ2 EXP sounds. What do I do update 2 first then install 3 ????
I don´t think it matters, but I installed the EZD2 update first.

If you drop an acoustic guitar track you just played where your timing is a little out in a bar or two. Does bandmate make an adjustment in the drum timing?
No, bandmate will play to the tempo that is set in EZDrummer 3 so its important that your tracks are recorded to a click.

Can you drag a recorded track from your DAW over into bandmate?.. or does it have to be another kind of file?

Hi Harry, the bandmate should be able to receive sound from any audio interface as long as your computer detects it as an audio device. If you can record into a DAW, you should be able to record into the bandmate tab.

I can’t drag and drop my DI in PS1 pro 5 to bandmate. This was literally the reason I picked it up because I already have SD3.

Anyone else’s cymbals out of whack volume wise on e kit with ez3?
Nice feature but for the moment it don’t work with audio files recorded in cubase AI .
You can drag midi files from cubase project but not audio files , no idea why 🤷🏻♂️

Bandmate quantize the audio file that I drag and drop, how do I disable it?
Left of the audiofile is a snap button turn that off should be work I think.
@@onoesmurlocs that snap is only for the grid, at least i can turn it off to separte my off line grove from the drum, solve the problem... kind of
Will Bandmate follow changes in tempo?
Hi, the EZdrummer 3 timeline features a tempo and time signature editor that you can add changes to. The Bandmate timeline currently only works in the static tempo that you set when you are importing the audio.

I don't follow the developments, but do we already have a full set of tools, that can automatically follow each other, so it makes masterpiece without human input whatsoever? Well that would simplify the entire "art" thing a bit.
