I'm a bass player for almost 30 years and use it for demos, and sometimes record a bass line and play with articulations, figuring out fingering for complicated stuff, or just for playing with a pick (NOT ALLOWED :) ), or use P bass (which I don't have) sound.

If you send dry signal in, it’ll be even more accurate. It can use most audio, but the distortion causes artifacts. It says this in the tips on input.
In these examples, EZBass was hearing the DI signal. I put the Audio Sender plugin before the EZMix instance so it was sending the dry guitar tone to EZBass but everyone else hears the processed guitar tone.

Bruh I was totally unaware of that feature. That is so sick. Huge time saver. Plus as someone who I do have a bass and can get away with most parts. Its also a 4 string and I use everything from Drop C# to drop E. To just be able to take my guitar and get results I can easily use for flush out ideas. Oml. Such a blessing

Hey man I really dig the video. I was wondering what do you use to record the screen capture of your DAW? Do you use Voicemeeter? I also have a RUclips channel myself where I teach music theory for guitar, but I occasionally make DAW recording videos, and Voicemeeter audio never lines up with the video. Plus, I can never figure out how to get a recording of my playing live guitar into the DAW without causing a nasty feedback loop. I was just wondering how you effortlessly get all of this stuff onto video? I've been going nuts trying to figure this stuff out!! Thanks man!

I haven't recorded anything in years and had no idea things had come this far. Truly mind blowing.
You could just play the parts at half speed just to track the bass since it’s midi and tempo doesn’t matter to the computer. After that you can use it as a guide track and track the guitars.
Actually that's a good idea, here I was trying to fool the program for funsies but if you were actually trying to make it more accurate, that way would work WAY better haha

Just got myself a copy of EZBass! Had the EZ Drummer 2 which helped me out. Being a guitarist...having these two plugins give me incredible control over the the sound. Plus I could never afford the cost of real players with the talent to lay down some of those riffs...LOL Great Reveiw
A good tool for guitar players that just want to write their demos without spending too much time recording everything and especially ezdrummer 3 bandmate really helped me. I was spending too much time tweaking the drums instead of actually playing guitar.
I picked up EXBass a couple weeks ago and haven’t had time to play with it much yet. World of possibilities

mind=blown soo happy drummers finally have sftware 2write w/, started out all drums N synths & we were still phucked left out w/ no way 2write guitar w/ out a physical player which is a pain in the ass if ya dnt have a guy or cant play

Been waiting a long time for EZ bass. Doesn't disappoint. What is the next challenge for Toontrack? EZ singer? That would be so cool. Making someone sing melodies and written lyrics that you can tweak. There've been attempts already (choirs singing syllables) It's not impossible. Imagine singing a guide example and replacing it with a top vocalist (Maybe compiled from various top session singers and a tweakable timbre.)
Reading this comment in 2023, and I mean yeah, Toontrack didn’t do it but look what we have now with AI
@@Peroxitone There's also SynthV (or Synthesizer V) with various synth/A.I. singers. That's making huge leaps right now, where you can program and tweak a voice like you'd do with a midi instrument. Soon, more of these (legal) software programs will occur where you don't infringe on the copyright of a singer.

Interesting and fun, thanks. I would heavily emphasize what someone else already said: inputting clean guitar signals vastly improves EZBASS detection. (Also, in case some watcher doesn’t know the instrument, I would point out that the detected notes can be converted into MIDI with one click, then easily fixed or changed within the grid editor.)

It's kind of wild that teles just sound awesome with minimal effort, I love mine so much. That was literally just through an EZMix preset, no tweaking or anything

Ok Tune Track fanatic- Your delivery was perfect! Thank you. Only 2 things I'd like to ask you-When you use Audio Tracker to record your guitar-Are you recording it with the plugin enabled or is it the "dry" guitar without a plugin? After you finish recording into Audio Tracker-Which do I chose? All the articulations gives me additional notes and other stuff. I just want the bass line.

(in my opinion) the EZ line is NOT to, replace sounds or musicians. I just see it like a good songwriting tool. then record with real people :) In my experience drummers and bass players don't write so much songs ;) and now with corona I can send my ideas to my bass playing best friend in the world that I would never replace . great plugin !!!!
Fl studio has a thing called edison, when you do convert to piano roll, it does the same thing

well, I'm using ezbass for a while now but I can't work it out. It is always of the grid and sounds artificial. I'm playing simple guitar riffs and it never gets it. I wonder If I will use a bass guitar and use it as a source. Will that be better?
Great bass tone on the heavy stuff. Is that an EZ bass setting or did you build that up? Notice the insert section is missing from your Pro Tools frame...
Sounds like the "Djenty picked" preset.
Tone-wise, I still prefer Submission Eurobass II, but the tracker is pretty tight on this.

I feel like you really need a DI for this to work well. Not jiving at all with my Captor X since I don't have a DI signal from the guitar. If I try and upload old recorded riffs, fuhgeddaboudit. Its all over the place. Anybody have any tips for a traditional setup with no DI signal?

Hi what happens to the wave file you recorded into ezbass. Does it sit on your drive you need to delete it.... plus this would be useful for creating string or synth parts you want to harmoniz or just double with a solo part instead of having to play on the keyboard...

Making demos, I just use my guitar clean through Digitech Drop into Bias FX bass amp. Good enough for me :)

Can u record the tones that come out of ez bass straight to the daw like with ez drummer and superior drummer?
What about soft finger style arpeggio stuff. I'm writing a song like that right now and I just cannot come up with a good bass line for it. Because its in C over E and C over G I cant find the right balance of the actual bass note and the actual root of the chord being arpeggiated. I'm a terrible bassist
Basically It's picking up the root note and write it in midi notes. Could it generate a bass line just by playing the whole tracks?

Dam I didn’t know it could do this, I just purchased ample sound’s metal bass which I love but it can’t do that. I do have have ableton live so I wonder the difference between this tracking and ableton”s inbuilt tracking
