Hello, in the visit japan web, is it not required to register for the quarantine QR code? Because I uploaded my vaccination certificate there but it's not changing from red. It says please register but also put a disclaimer that it's not needed
I remember when I arrived in Japan in 2015 I had to wait in a line at immigration for 2 hours after my 18 hour flight and as a solo traveler :,,) not a nice time lol
I'm seeing it's like that now. I have a 10 hr flight in a week to Kansai. Anything more than an hour seems like torture. 😊

By using Visit Japan Web (vjw-lp.digital.go.jp/en/), you can now do these forms online. Alternatively you can get the actual forms at the airport. Most airlines will also distribute the forms on board of the plane, but I am not sure whether all of them do it these days.
Hi, can you recommend any rides that can accommodate people who ate entering KIX at 11pm?
I would stay at the hotel at the airport, then take a train or bus the next morning. Would probably be cheaper than taking a taxi to your destination. If you are a solo traveler there is a capsule hotel, also there is the Nikko hotel Kansai.
Hello, I'm arriving at KIX going to my hotel near Osaka Castle. If I board a train, would I still need to reserve for my luggage to be allowed (24 inch) or that rule only applies to Shinkansen trains.
(I have a JR pass, if I board haruka to Osaka, will it need for me to reserve for the luggage to be allowed?)
The rule for oversized luggage applies only to the Tokaido/Sanyo/Kyushu/Nishikyushu Shinkansen. Furthermore, a 24 inch piece of luggage is unlikely considered oversized. The suitcase's three dimension need to add up to over 160 cm (63 inches) to be considered oversized.
Does the JR Pass includes the ride withe the train to Kyoto? It's JR..
Yes, the Japan Rail Pass covers the JR options, including the direct Haruka limited express.
Does Kansai One Pass still exist for tourists?

I am heading over for 22 days. I was going to grab a 21 day JR pass however the challenge is wether to activate for day 1 or day 2. I will be flying into Osaka and flying out of Tokyo… any advice would be very appreciated :-)
