One of our many Japanese homestay daughters was from Osaka..When my daughter was an ELT in Ehime-ken ( 2011-2013) she met up a couple of times with our other "daughter". We spent 3 days in Shinsaibashi before staying 3 days in Kyoto then down to Imabari for 2 weeks...one of those a teaching day... surprise....When people learned we were from NZ they were so :-)).

I have a question: Why do you sometimes choose the (Limited Express ticket) and other times, like in this video 5:39, you select the (KANKU TOKUWARI Rapid Ticket) for the same journey? Will the ticket prices differ for each option, and I have an ICOCA card, which option should I choose?
Hi! Thank you for your comment. As you have an ICOCA, you should click "Only the Limited Express Ticket" and then tap your IC card at the ticket gate.
1) "Only the Limited Express Ticket" … When you have an IC card and use it as the basic fare.
2) "When the boarding section is the same with your Limited Express Ticket.” ... In case you do not have an IC card and need to purchase both the limited express ticket and the basic fare ticket.
3) "When the boarding section differs from your Limited Express Ticket” … When your trip starts from the station that the limited express does not stop. In case after going to the station that the limited express stops and you take the limited express from that station, you should click this.
*"KANKU TOKUWARI Rapid Ticket" is a discount ticket of 2).

One of our many Japanese homestay daughters was from Osaka..When my daughter was an ELT in Ehime-ken ( 2011-2013) she met up a couple of times with our other "daughter". We spent 3 days in Shinsaibashi before staying 3 days in Kyoto then down to Imabari for 2 weeks...one of those a teaching day... surprise....When people learned we were from NZ they were so :-)).
