Hello, at 3:57 of the video, do you mind explaining what are the differences between the 3 options that is shown on the screen? Also you said you already have the basic fare ticket, what does that mean? Thank you for your video and help!!
Hi! Thank you for the comment. First of all, in order to take Rapi:t you need to get both the basic fare ticket and the limited express ticket. ・If you have an IC card such as ICOCA or Pasmo, it can be used as a basic fare ticket. In this case, you should press “Only the Limited express ticket.” ・In case you don’t have an IC card, by pressing “When the boarding section is the same with your Limited express ticket” or “KANKU TOKUWARI Rapi:t TICKET” you can buy both the basic fare ticket and the limited express ticket. Purchasing the “KANKU TOKUWARI Rapi:t TICKET” is recommended as it is a discount ticket. ・If you would like to go to the station which Rapi:t does not stop at, you need to press “When the boarding section differs from your Limited express ticket.” In this video, I had a pass ticket (with four pictures of trains). I used it as a basic fare ticket. If you have any further questions, do feel free to comment again.😊
@@Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan Thank you for your response. Is there a difference between “When the boarding section is the same with your Limited express ticket” or “KANKU TOKUWARI Rapi:t TICKET” other than the price? Hello Shiba-shiba, out of the many many online video guides I've watched yours is the clearest and easiest to understand for me! We'll be visiting Osaka this March, would you mind creating a video of the closest supermarket stores from Namba nankai station where we can buy vegetables, fruits, meat etc. to prepare meals for a week? Thank you in advance!
Hi ShibaShiba, thank you so much for the video. I’m going to be in osaka next week and plan to take the nankai rapit to get to namba. Quick question. The ticket you put into the gate at 4:37 mark (with the picture of the 4 trains), where do you buy that? Is it at the same machine? Or does the machine only issue the reservation ticket?
Hello! In the video I used a "NANKAI ALL LINE 1-day Pass". It costs 2,000 yen and is sold at any station with a manned ticket counter. However, it is only available from October to November. This means that you cannot buy it when you arrive in Osaka next week. Fortunately, however, visitors from abroad can purchase the "NANKAI ALL LINE 2day Pass". For more information, see the following link. www.howto-osaka.com/en/ticket/web-nankaiallline2daypass/
So sorry for the additional question, but in your previous video 1 year ago, you entered the gate to use the Rapit only with the ticket that you bought from the ticket machine. Can I also just do that? Or I must have an additional ticket to enter and the machine only gives me the reservation ticket for my seat on the Rapit? Thank you so much for your videos. They really help in trip planning.
Press "When boarding sections is the same with your Limited express ticket" at 3:56. Then you can purchase a limited express ticket and a basic fare ticket in one ticket. You can also tap and go with your PASMO.😊
Will a large luggage fit the leg space in front of your seat? I do not know how to use the chain lock in the luggage compartment and I do not even know if it's free to use.
Hi! Thank you for the comment. If you are sitting alone in a two-seater, you will not feel cramped with your suitcase. However, these days Rapi:t is often crowded or fully booked, so you might want to put your luggage in the luggage space. It's free and easy to use the chain lock. If you have any other questions, feel free to comment again.😊

Hi Shiba Shiba, really like your video. Can I ask if they also sell ICOCA ticket at the Nankai ticket counter? And how long does it take to get to the Rapit platform from the ticket area? Thank you
Hi! You can purchase an ICOCA card at the Nankai manned counter or the automatic ticket machine that is colored pink. However, ICOCA may be sold out due to the recent lack of semiconductors. Instead you can get ICOCA app. apps.apple.com/jp/app/icoca%E3%82%A2%E3%83%97%E3%83%AA/id6444271546 It takes about 2 or 3 minutes from Nankai ticket area to the platform. Hi. I'm glad you like my videos. Even if you have an IC card such as ICOCA, you need to purchase a limited express ticket to take Rapi:t. This means you need to pay the limited express fare in addition to the basic fare. You can purchase a limited express ticket not only before going through the ticket gate but also at the platform. If you are concerned about using a ticket bending machine, you might want to visit the manned counter that is located next to the ticket bending machines. If you have any other questions, do feel to comment again.😊
When returning to the airport to fly back home, is it common to take the same JR line back to the airport with all the luggage in tow? or does taking a bus or taxi a better option? Thanks for sharing this video!
Hi! To go back to Kansai Airport, It is common to take the Nankai line (Rapi:t) or the JR line (HARUKA). In Japan taking taxi for a long distance costs too much. From Osaka Station to KIX, it will cost around 20,000 JPY. Both Rapi:t and HARUKA have large luggage space on board. If you have any other questions, feel free to comment again.😊

Hi Shiba-shiba. You selected "Only the Limited express ticket" and mentioned you have a basic fare ticket. Did you buy this ticket separately? You paid only Y730 but the counter prices are Y1290 - KIX to Namba. Is the basic fare ticket the same as the Nankai-Semboku Railway Ticket you inserted at the ticket gate? Where do you get this ticket and how much is it? Kindly explain.
Hello! The fare between Kansai Airport Station and Namba Station is 970 JPY. And limited express train ticket is 520 JPY. (Super Seat 730 JPY) So, it is necessary to pay 1,490 JPY in total. (Super Seat 1,700 JPY) However, you can purchase a discount ticket. See the link below for details. www.howto-osaka.com/en/ticket/rapit/ The ticket I used in this video is a 1day pass and covers the basic fare. Hi Shiba-shiba. I just want to ask if you have an idea how much is the rapit ticket if you will not use an IC card or pass? And if you have an IC card, how much will be deducted from the IC card if you will use it to cross the ticket gates? Thank you.
Hi! From Kansai Airport Station to Namba Station it costs 1,490 JPY ( basic fare 970 JPY and limited express regular seat ticket 520 JPY ). Fares for paper tickets are the same as for IC cards. Various discount tickets are available, so please check the Nankai website. If you have any further questions, do feel free to comment again.😊
Thank you very much for your reply. Much appreciated. 😀 By the way, is there any chance I can use the osaka amazing pass as the basic fare + limited express ticket? Thanks in advance for the reply. thank you.
Unfortunately, the Osaka Amazing Pass only covers the city of Osaka. This means that between Tenga-chaya Station and Kansai Airport Station is outside Osaka City, so an additional fare is required.
Hi! Thank you for the comment. By pressing "Only the Limted express ticket" at 3:57, you can use your SUICA as a basic fare ticket. After arriving at Namba Station, you can take Osaka Metro to Shin-osaka Station by using SUICA. Hi Shiba-shiba nice to know you, I'm Rudy, I have a question, Better buy ICOCA card for Nankai Rapit which I've just to tap at gate or buy tickets from Vending/Ticket Machine. Btw it's a nice video and very useful info, can't wait for your next videos!!!
If you have any other questions, feel free to comment again.😊
thank you, i have a Suica card in my Iphone App, does that mean i only need the limited express ticket and use the SUICA card for basic fare?
@@trongnhangoaipho1090 Yes.😊✨🚃
Your video is helpful. Thank you. May i ask, upon arrival at namba station, where can i find the taxis?
Thank you for the comment. You can find a taxi stand at the point of the map below.

See the link below for details.
www.howto-osaka.com/en/ticket/rapit/
The ticket I used in this video is a 1day pass and covers the basic fare. It is 2,000 JPY and available in autumn season but travelers from overseas and get "NANKAI ALL LINE 2day Pass." See the link for details.

Thanks for the info. Myself and my friends are going to Osaka around 3rd week of Feb 2024. I hope Osaka is not affected in any way by the earthquake and no travel restrictions.
Osaka is safe and unaffected by earthquakes. However, Japan is an earthquake-prone country. If an earthquake does occur, get accurate information and evacuate safely. Have a nice trip!

Hi shiba shiba, if i choose rapit from kansai airport to namba station, will it be directly to namba station without change in to another train? This will be my 1st trip to japan with family at the end of this december 😊
Hi! Thank you for the comment. Rapi:t goes to Namba station directly, so you need not change trains. I hope your trip will be a greater one. If you have any other questions, do feel free to comment again.😊✨
can i use my bank card at the ticket station self service or do i have to use cash, or is there a desk i can go to? this will be my first time in japan.
Hi! Thank you for the comment. You can purchase the train ticket with your credit card or IC card such as ICOCA or SUICA. Regrettably, I'm not sure whether you can get the train ticket with your bank card. Anyway, there is a manned counter at Kansai Airport Station and staffs will help you. Watching the video the link below shows, you can see where the manned counter is located.

Hi Shiba-san, is it worth paying more for Super Seat?
Is food and drink allow onboard😊?
Of course, yes. Just add 730 JPY (520 JPY Regular Seat) to the basic fare for a comfortable journey. Eating in the car is not a problem as long as the food does not have a strong smell. If you have any further questions, do feel free to comment again.😊
Hi thanks for the video. Do I buy this ticket to get to Namba and then use the standard SUICA card to go to Shin-osaka?
Hi! Thank you for the comment. By pressing "Only the Limted express ticket" at 3:57, you can use your SUICA as a basic fare ticket. After arriving at Namba Station, you can take Osaka Metro to Shin-osaka Station by using SUICA. However, if you would like to go from Kansai Airport Station to Shin-osaka Station, it is better to take JR HARUKA. If you have any other questions, feel free to comment again.😊

Hi shiba shiba! I came to Kansai airport last year and the ANA star alliance lounge was not open 😔 do you have any idea whether it has completed renovation yet?

May is a good season. The weather will be comfortable.😊
I like to visit Japan in either April or May. Because the weather is not extremely hot or cold during these months. This is my third consecutive year visiting Japan.

Can you pay for the Nankai Rapit with an IC card from you phone wallet at the machines?
Hi! Thank you for the comment. IC card applications can be used as a basic fare.
However, an express ticket is required to ride the Rapi:t and cannot be paid for with an IC card application. You need a credit card or cash. If you have any other questions, feel free to comment again.😊

can i just use the ICOCA card to get on any Nankai train? Also, when is the Nankai ticket counter closed at night time?

Thank you very much. I am planning to take a 6 day trip to Kansai region. I saw there are several tours Passes that seem like a good deal. 3day Kansai Thru Pass, and 2day Osaka Amazing Pass. What is your opinions on these 2 passes? I also saw there is a Kyoto Subway/Bus day pass, but I saw the Kansai Thru Pass will cover a lot of the same routes as Kyoto day Pass. @@Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan
Hi! I think Kansai Thru Pass is good as you can visit many places with the pass. In Kyoto, buses are often really crowded and delayed due to traffic congestion. So, maybe you should not get "Kyoto Subway/Bus day pass." 😊
Thank you for the input. How about the Osaka Amazing Pass? I am planning to spent 2 full day to explore just Osaka. The pass have quite a lot of free admission entries to the sightseeing place plus the osaka metro ride. That way i can save the KTP to use when i travel to kyoto, nara, and Kobe on other days.@@Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan
As far as your itinerary is concerned, the Osaka Amazing Pass is good.😊
Only 730 Yen ? Mine was 1490 Yen
Hi! Thank you for the comment. Your price 1,490 includes both the basic fare (970 JPY) and the limited express fare (520 JPY for Regular Seat). In this video, I already had the basic fare ticket, so I purchased only the limited express ticket (730 JPY for Super Seat). If you have any other questions, do feel free to comment again.😊
