- Honolulu police are now looking for two suspects, who remain on the loose after video shows them stealing thousands in Home Depot goods.

Unless every item is locked up and they change the system to where someone has to bring it out for you, but that just doesn’t seem fun or sustainable for the kind of normal shopping our society has been doing forever.

Cameras around and on top of the can follow them to their cars and pick up the plates
They feel embolden because they know all they have to do is pay 1000$ if caught and then there back on the street again!! Revolving door of criminals nowadays who know they won't face severe repercussions.

because of what happened in the mainland reg. another LPO being fatally injured....lots of retailers just let the punks go with the merchandise, it can be claimed as a loss......unlike a death of a person trying to stop the theft......just wondering IF store clerks or LP guy were tailing them to get their getaway vehicle info..... I used to work at GEM and the LPOs were dressed casually and always (back then...) carried a walkie talkie concealed in a shopping package.....and they had a code announced on the PA system when a theft is in progress. I will miss that bldg cuz Ward gang tore that bldg down........had pretty great memories!

Jeez, I wonder why it's happening in every city in America and not in Europe for example. Maybe our economic system is flawed in some way? The fact that people who work 3 minimum wage jobs still can't afford rent in Hawaii may have to do something with it.
It's happening in Virginia too. I can't have cheap tools because home depot won't shoot or persecute robbers. Thats also probably why all of the tools at lowes are so well priced.
@@RedLineShortFilms It's happening because we let it happen. Because everybody's too scared of being Sued. And because even if the purps were arrested they would have probably been out on the street 5 hours later with nothing more than a court date and a fine.

dont be surprised IF those that were "caged".....were not activated by the register. when you buy stuff, you scan that code on the register or gun to show price and item.....that may also "release" a lock so once you BUY IT, its yours legitimately....

Seen it happen at Walmart and Ross right out the door loss prevention said there out the door already can't do anything about it WM the same thing I'm pretty sure they new what was going on prior to the theft. Sorry Lost prevention if you ask me that's a crime paying LP to do nothing

@@Waynes-xt9gr That's all fine and good until that person goes and shoots another person because he wasn't stopped in the first place. Criminals don't generally stop committing crimes just because somebody's too scared to do anything about it, they keep escalating...
It's the Manager and District Manager to find solutions to the problems. Allowing them to hit each store 1 by 1 like they did the day before at another location and not do anything about it is the reason it continues. Here an idea to start...How about put locks they can't cut OR put merchandise like this in the back locked up and you have to being a sku card for the item, pay for it first and them they bring the item out to you.
Who would bring the item to you? The employee? They are cutting costs by cutting part time employee's hours. Their aren't enough workers in the store to man a given department on a good day.
Hawaii going to gain their independence faster than ever. The Americans have no chance on these islands.
Not sure why nobody stopped em. Did security follow em and get their plate number and vehicle description? Pics of the vehicle, anything? Or did they just stand there and wring their hands?

@@mikejones1302 look at the dude in the black shirt....see the box on the top of the cart, kinda hard to see unless you know what a bolt cutter looks like. He probably also stole that bolt cutter and used THAT to open the locks.
Store want thieves to take items so they have an excuse to raise prices besides they are getting the merchandise at whole sale dirt cheap from manufacturers so they want to raise prices because stores are greedy

Saw black a woman try to steal a bunch of stuff from a Family Dollar 4 days ago. She didn't count on me stopping her, which I did. I duck taped her to a parking sign. That's where the cops got her.

Why don't they, Home Depot, Lowes etc, have a steel cable near the exits. When the thieves start heading out, just manage to clip a carabiner, then a padlock to the cart. That should slow them down a little.
ahhhhhhh...if you notice around town, especially on Don Qs carts.....buggahs no work, the homeless rip out that device and use it carefree like they own it! But I also wondered if they had those barrier things like Don Qs....activated, that sound an alarm if you are attempting to steal.....seen that first guy go OUT DA DOOR without the alarm on!!!!

Unfortunately as crazy as it sounds I’ve heard that courts have repeatedly ruled even police officers have no duty to protect members of the public if it could endanger the officers as the recent dismissal of the Parkland officer for failing to protect the children reaffirmed. That’s why the second amendment is important.
