    How would you attach to bead work.. like a peyote or bead loom bracelet?

    Can I use this type of clasps on beads! Only I've tried twice and each time I've broke the beads

    I tried using it on my beaded Loom bracelet but the clasp kept cutting the thread.I used nylon.Could you recommend a thread that won't be broken by the ribbon crimp?

      We suggest using ribbons and thicker cords like in this video or the following video.

    can we use this when we are trying to make an rhinestone or crystal necklace ?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  8 лет назад

      It depends on what stringing material you are using. How are you going to construct your necklace?

    How do you re-open one of those crimps? Say if you made your necklace or bracelet too long?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  4 года назад +2

      You can reopen them using pliers, however, we do not recommend opening more than once or twice after they are first crimped. Thanks for watching!

    Is there a way to reopen the crimps once they've been close?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  6 лет назад

      Currently, we are not aware of away to open the crimps after crimping with out damaging.

    I need more practice. It always slips on me and then is crooked. Never fails.

      You can try putting a little glue inside the crimp first, which allows you you move the ribbon into place. Let it dry, then use the pliers to close the crimp.

      I've also used tape to hold it in place on one side then crimp it down.

    Can you use these for leather?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  4 года назад

      Yes I think that would work as long as the leather's not too thick. Here's an example project where we used them to finish a bracelet made with braided faux leather chords beadaholique.com/products/braided-cassie-bracelet-in-black

    how do you use it with beaded bracelet? i did just that and the beads broke from doing that. thanks.

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  9 лет назад +4

      eyck11 If you use ribbon crimps to finish beadwork you will want to glue the beadwork into the ribbon crimp and then gently pinch the crimp over the beadwork but not so hard that you crush the beads. It is basically the glue that is holding the beadwork in place, not the ribbon crimp. Think of the ribbon crimp as more of a decorative element to secure your glue to.

    Lol these ribbon crimps kinda look like mini purses. Seriously put one on a Barbie doll.
