Such an excellent how to video! I have often wondered how to properly do this and utilize jury pliers, this was so easy to understand and utilize. Thanks again.

As far as I know, you will need to do some knotting of your ends. The way you described it is how I do it as well when I am doing beaded Kumihimo. To "bulk" up the braid, I will sometimes wind the string/cord around my braided end several times until it creates a thicker area to push into the cord end cap along with the E6000.

We do not sell Japanese Chirimen Cord so I unfortunately have not worked with it and can not test the ends to see if they would work. I would suggest just looking at the measurements of the cord and the cord ends and seeing if it seems like they will line up. I am sorry that I can not be of more assistance.

Yes we do have a video on that: How to Tie Off and Finish Kumihimo Braid Ends. You can find it in our Braiding and Knotting Techniques playlist.

im sorry i mean not knotted. is there a way to do it with just the satin string, and not knotting it. i make them using 8o seed beads and the thin satin string, im trying to find better (easier) ways to finish the ends. currently im braiding about 1/4" and squishing it in to the cap, mainly 4-6mm with e6000, but it doesnt seem to fit snuggly and sometimes slides back out, thanks

Could you use these cord ends for a bracelet made with Japanese Chirimen Cord? Or would another type of end work better?
