Family is more important than anything on this Earth. My wife was diagnosed with epilepsy when she went to college. No explanation how it came about nor does it run in her family. I started suffering seizures out of the blue. Mine has to do with my TBI while I was in the Navy. It’s controlled by medication now. You being a disabled veteran is one of the many reasons I watch the channel. I work with my son (turns 25 in June) and he’s a car guy and mechanic. We hope to get a shop built at the house so we can be “a/c mechanics” vice “shade tree” as the heat impacts me so much. Keep the family safe and the videos coming!
Thank you both for your service! I hope you both get things sorted! You're son Josh having a unexpected seizure is scary as a parent but I'm sure it's emotionally scarring to him and the sister I'm hopeful you and Your wife are getting support to My apologies on the grammar imperfections I'm self taught on a lot of things
I'm glad your son is doing better now. Sometimes in life our choices and decisions are never easy. But..I'm sure both of you know what's best for y'all.
Sorry to hear that about your son man.. my son has fever sezers when he gets sick an he’s 5 and we though we lost him 3 times cuz of them… so sorry to hear that about the little truck master.. love seeing you guys work on what you guys love together you definitely inspired me an my son for sure. An also happy moumoral day
Most important, glad you son is doing well. I'm a dad too and I sympathize. Glad to see Hammer's truck going to good home. It looks like he meant a lot to your family. Rest easy
Tough choice.... but you and Mrs Truckmaster know what you need and you know what you have to do to best fit the needs of your family. I am sure Hammer is in full agreement and probably saying he is surprised you kept it as long as you did even as proud as he is that it has meant as much as it has to you. I also believe that Hammer would have had it sold right away to take care of his grandson... Grandpa's are like that. Also glad to hear your son is doing great 👍. You are a good man Truckmaster. Now back to the Sunkist truck. It's going to look great next to the WIFEMAX. All the best to Mrs Truckmaster hopefully she will make a few guest appearances. She is a shining star and you should forever be grateful. As always looking forward to seeing what's next. Bravo Zulu Truckmaster....
Before my dad passed away I fixed up his boat and got it running. It took me a whole summer but I got him out on the water one last and that boat never looked that good in it's life. I sold it a year after he passed away. It was a nice boat but not quite what I wanted. It's in Alaska now with my cousin
Sorry to hear about your son was having health issues but hopefully he gets better soon sad to see the Supper duty go but it will be for a good cause to help pay for medical bills
I've recently delt with out of network insurance claims. A few things to keep in mind , if it's an emergency they can't claim it's out of network, also if the care or a procedure he needs isn't offered by a in network provider than the insurance must cover a out of network provider that does. Don't forget about the law recently passed in 2022 called the no Surprise act, you may want to look into that. Hope this helps
Interesting how the passing of time and other issues can change priorities. And, as you said, can’t take it with you. As I always say, “It’s all gonna burn in the end.” Ignore the haters. They have no clue what life is really about. Glad your son is okay, thanks for your service and God bless you and your family.
Sometimes it’s best to let things go even if they have sentimental value. My dad passed away in 2017 and I bought his 2014 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited from his estate. I rode it at first but slowly lost interest and I rode it less than 500 miles in the last 1.5 years I owned it. I knew my dad wouldn’t have wanted it to just sit there for sentimental reasons. So I ended up selling it two years ago.
Glad your son is okay. My niece spent many weeks at Mott Children's Hospital at U of M. We're about 25 minutes south of Ann Arbor. Prayers from down state 🙏
I recognized the truck the first time I saw it on your channel from watching a bunch of Powerstroke videos, I’m glad my suspicions were confirmed! Best of luck to you bud!
Out of all my hobbies and interests, you are probably my favorite RUclips creator. You keep it clean, interesting, and to the point. I also like that our faith and view of the world lineup pretty closely. Keep doing your thing and God bless you.
I recently sold a very babied bronco that bought in 93, sold to my father-in-law in 2001, and got back in 2017 after he passed. I got it back to road-worthy status and drove it daily for the last 5-6 years. It was a bit emotional, but I was glad that it left the state and I never saw it again. It would break my heart if it was mistreated. I also didn't want the guy coming back for little things like an oil leak. It was a 33 year old truck, it was going to have a few issues. I miss it a little, but I got another toy to replace it (and I don't have to constantly fix stuff). It's just stuff, always take care of the family first.
Josh… I’m very sorry your family had to experience the situation with your son. I can only imagine what type of stress you and the wife went through. Prayers that you all have fully recovered from the situation 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I have a question... if you could build your dream truck. What would you build ? I think you should atleast go to SEMA. But I believe you have what it takes. To do a SEMA build. You have the collaborative connections. You have the ability. Something to consider.... but attending it is a valuable resource of information. Afterall that is what it was designed for. And one last thing... you have built full size trucks. Something to consider... a COLORADO..... A drastic change of perspective. A TAHOE or SUBURBAN would be cool. But a COLORADO would be definitely different.
That’s funny my Dodge 3500 4 door long bed dullay 4x4 5.9 manual 6 speed and manual 4x4 selector and it’s a Laramie 36500 and I paid 34000 for it and I still drive it 142k no rust looks like new and it’s Bright white .
I hope your little man is getting his epileptic issues figured out its so scary my two oldest sons also have seizures with no medical reasons found we are happily celebrating 4 years seizure free with our oldest and almost 2 years with our second boy 8 years into this adventure and every day is a blessing after the first big scary one keep up with the great content and thank you for your service
So sorry for what happened to your son but glad he made it out and is ok now. Sad to see the 6.0 go but knowing that it will be used and appreciated close by is a good feeling
You did the right thing it's worse to let the truck sit there and not get used at least to go down the road, I'm glad your some is healthy that's very scary to see and I'm glad everything is good. Hope everything stays well
I'm sorry to hear about your son Josh, that's terrible. The hospital bills only add insult to injury. Don't worry, though. The illegal aliens get free medical, etc, while we have to pay large amounts money. Hope all is well moving forward.
2008 ram 2500 Cummins regular cab new was 42k sticker out the door after truck month debate it was the same 36k. I got my dads car left to me idk if I will ever sell it. You building a truck that means nothing that what you should of put for sale.
I got my dads custom 1980ish Honda goldwing and 1980ish front wheel drive crystler car made tryke he bought it while i was on leave in iraq and while I was headin back to iraq he left on same flight to Arkansas to pick it up in 2008 after he passed away in 2019 and my mom and I both agreed we don't want to sell but we want to get it runnin agin it hasn't ran fer over 8 yrs I'm hopin only a starter issue I never had chance to find issue yet but soon I'm hopin to start to work on it after some bills get takin out
My son had seizures just like yours, same exact thing it’s caused by a cyst on his brain.Hes had a few seizures at an early age but as he got older it’s gotten a lot better. He hasn’t had be now in a long time and he’s 15.Hes running back for the HS football team and pitcher for the baseball team,so it hasn’t affected him at all.I just wanted to let you know because I was so worried we all were just like I’m sure you have been and what the long term could look like.
You’re a good man for doing this. But your a great father and this shows why me and many others watch your videos you’re an awesome guy a great person and someone everyone one of us wanna be friends with you. As a father myself of two kids I am very very happy for you that your son‘s OK.B

Best looking and sounding truck in the fleet by far. It's funny though wouldn't want to bulletproof a 6.0 but tears duramaxes down all the time. Oh well it was a beautiful rig! I understand if you needed to sell for your son's medical bills. I've owned two 6.0s with basically no issues
@@TruckMaster I understand man you're a Chevy guy I'm a Ford guy and you've built some very nice duramaxes! Just hate to see it go but I understand it's just not for you.
Only thing more important than a man's truck, a man's family. Admiration for that. You done right thing. Mad respect
Thank God you didn't sell it to Whistlindiesel 😂😂😂 we all know how he treats his trucks and because it's red would make it even worse 😂😂😂
6.0 Powerstrokes sound amazing, they did get a bad rap and rightfully so. It is still one of my favorite sounding diesels.
Doing exactly what dad's have to do. Sacrifice for family is honorable.
I have never seen that truck so clean. It couldn't have had a better shine when it was new. Hammer has to be looking down with a large smile.
I've had all my care done at U of M , I'm glad Matthew is doing well now.
Such a beautiful truck and such a good service it was used for
So good to hear your son is doing well now.
🙏

My condolences. I lost my father then my father in law within months in between. I hope you keep fighting when life hit you hard n keep your head up.
Much appreciated
Check your hpop lines they have “quick connects” that leak replace them with solid ones not a 6.0 owner I’ve just worked on them
The nice thing about keeping the truck local is if you ever want to buy the truck back you know where it is.
Very good point
That truck today, Reg cab 350 diesel would be $55k
😂😂😂 your funny, you can barely buy a gas 1/2 ton for that. You obviously haven’t been shopping recently.
@@jdatwood7086 yes you can. Price it
I inherited my grandmas car last month I barely drive it I'm keeping the miles down on it

At the end of the day like you said, its just a truck. You did the right thing. Love the sound of those damn 6.0s though haha.
Oil leak common problems are front cover, bed plate, hpop cover, oil cooler housing
I believe in getting rid of a hobby from a dead loved one. If that's what they enjoyed, get it to someone that will continue to enjoy it.

I think selling makes sense and it would have been a overdue decision because sitting isn’t healthy for Diesel
Truck looks good with the new wheel and tire setup. Thing is clean for an old Ford
Figuring in inflation, 36,000 in 2005 vs now is about 59,000.. diesel pickups have always been expensive.
