    Great video. I just did my cooler and pretty much followed your video in order to do it. Thanks for doing it. I wanted to correct you on your comment on the IPR coolant filter. The coolant runs front to back in the oil cooler so using the IPR with manifold does not filter the coolant before entering the oil cooler. It would filter after going thur cooler .

      I just use a piece of radiator hose, just make sure to check the clamps every now and then, they like to loosen up over a few heat cycles and create a leak.

    I have a 04 huntsville 6.0, and am about to do a full injector set, probably a new ficm, and i recon with my consistent 210+ oil temp a new oil cooler. I stumbled on this channel on accident. I wish i could have seen your info years ago, and i am learning some cool new tricks as well. Good content sir. I am considering purchasing that so cal billet. I am bout to break 300k miles on my PSD, original motor and trans couple goodies added studs, exhaust, blue spring, emmisions enhanced, beefier torque converter etc...
    Two questions though
    #1 who do ya recomend for injectors? I dont wanna go over 155/30s kinda prefer stock.
    #2 As far as high performance/reliability on a ficm and oil cooler what do ya reccomend?

    • @Atomic_Diesel
      @Atomic_Diesel  Год назад +1

      I use Warren for all my bigger injectors just make sure to buy the premiums. If you just end up going stock size Ford is always a good option as well. I’ve done a few trucks with 155/30s and a KC stage 1 and they love it!
      As far as FICM I try to stick with Ford or if you want to spend the money, one from bulletproof. Warren used to sell tuned ones but they don’t anymore because of emissions crackdowns.
      On your oil cooler, I’ve always ran Fords even on our high horsepower trucks. As long as coolant changes are kept up with, they don’t have problems. I personally don’t recommend the air to oil coolers because if you don’t have constant air moving over them it gets hot.
      Glad you found the channel and hope you enjoy the content! Thank you for watching!

    • @elispitz3569
      @elispitz3569 Год назад

      @Atomic_Diesel Thanks for the feedback, I am in Idaho, so we have some lol well no actual emmision laws, I guess your not allowed to have to very much flame coming out of your exhaust but that's about it. However a lot of the simpler higher performing stuff is getting harder to source.
      Thankya for your time sir. I will be recommending your channel others.

    would a busted coolant side of the oil cooler allow water to get into oil? Reason I'm asking is because we had a hard freeze and did not have any antifreeze in motor. 2 freeze plugs busted out and a couple spots on aluminum heater piping to the back of the truck ha to be repaired. all that was done and the next day checked the oil and it was full to the top with a water oil mixture. literally to the top roughly even with oil cooler.

      Lmfao 😂! Between me and my wife we have owned 4. 6.0s and 7.3s are what I primarily learned to wrench on so I have a special place in my heart for them and love working on them.

      I can still find about 800-1000 on fords locator so only reason your local dealer wouldn’t be able to get one would be their own laziness!
