"the girl I love she got long black wavy hair" would be a fantastic addition to your baller portfolio. I've been trying to learn the solo for a while now. Sorry if "requests" for songs get annoying but youre best teacher on RUclips.
I’ve been listening to blues and blues rock guitarists for decades. After a time I would watch every video I could just to understand how it was that the guitarist played that particular favourite song of mine- couldn’t have been done without RUclips. Getting an acoustic guitar for my birthday. We purchased it last Saturday. Within a day I couldn’t stand looking at the case anymore, so I started out learning a blues shuffle. Then it dawned on me: many of the songs I like are based on similar shuffles, particularly Led Zeppelin’s cover of “Bring It On Home”. So I started to figure out how to play the song. Six days later my fingers are raw, but progress has been made. It’s not pretty, but I’m getting there. Perhaps it was a good thing for me to hold off learning to play guitar for decades. I have more patience, I don’t get frustrated by my mistakes (for a time that all I could play- mistakes, LOL) I just laugh them off and keep practising. It’s quite amazing to be on the cusp of playing a decent rendition of this song, given I have no musical background beyond a ton of vinyl, CDs, and MP3 downloads. A 60 year old novice…
I thought so too, thank you! I found the right tone for the intro on the neck first and then when I switched to the bridge and put the drive pedal on it just felt right. Fractal = 😍
Loved it Sped. You totally get that sense in the original of JP holding himself back, playing it straight, then letting rip before reining himself in again. Superb.
SIC AF Zep at it's finest...Jimmy with that bluesy ass intro and then into that killer tasty riff...great lesson Sped....no one BETTER to teach it....and congrats on you and Sophie in a band together... that's gotta be pretty rad.....
So cool! Thanks so much for watching. Yeah BXRRELL is really exciting. Hopefully gonna have an album out this year. Looking forward to the little tour this summer too. 💪🏻
Looking forward to learning this over on your Patreon Sped 🎸💯 Another masterpiece by the legend that is Jimmy Page 👌👌👌 Performed by the guitar wizard 🧙 Sped 👍😁😎
That was GREAT! Sounds really good. Nice video work too; love the camera angles. It probably wouldn’t hurt my feelings to see you do some more of these. Very enjoyable.
Excelent format! I loved it. I got up and running in no time just by seeing it. The longer format lessons are great, but sometimes getting the job done faster is way better! I got to the fun part quicker!
Glad you enjoyed it and that it was also useful for learning. I’m gonna stick the full lesson on Patreon along with the tracks etc. These short covers get demonetised immediately. Guess I’ll take it as a compliment for triggering the police. 🤣
You're always impeccable, tone is spot on. My 1st language is French. As an English man, any idea what Plant says right after ''Watch out, watch out'' right at the end of the intro?
Merci! That line is a bit of a mystery isn't it. To me it sounds like he could be saying "Magnum" or "Man Move" but I would be taking a guess. I will have to phone him this weekend and ask... 🤣
Very cool.. very Pagey!... Going to pop into the new Gibson Garage in London on Tuesday, do you want me to pick up the new limited edition JP EDS-1275 for you?
Can you actually pick me up a couple? To be safe 3 actually; I’ll have one upstairs and down and Gab probably best with her own. You alright with cash?
This is the first riff I learned to play wrong. For years, as a young lad, I thought it was a minor-third on that riff. It took 15 years until I saw someone plating and I said, "Oh yeah! It's a Major 3rd!" I've been playing wrong forever! Not that I studied it, I just would jam on it and thought I was playing right! LOL
When I first learnt it I did the same thing. It’s awesome how our ear improves parallel to our instrument skill set. I change the way I do things all the time and my opinion on what something might be. 🔥
Man sped dynamic I’m still trying to finish Achilles last stand then you come up with this - very handsome can’t wait for the lesson. Hey have you ever thought about Aerosmith train? Kept a Rollin leads on the first half of that song . full of conspiracy that Aerosmith never played it and that studio musicians played it. It’s perfect for you to comment on and learn it and give us a lesson. There’s only two guys out there that are teaching lessons On RUclips and they’re from like 10 years ago and they’re terrible. It’s a sassy. Bunch of leads listen to it and see if you can pull it together for a lesson
I wish Jimmy would get back up on stage, but he is 80 now. Hey, Sped, You're closer to Jimmy's house than I am. How about a video of you playing outside his house. I'll help with your bail money.
HA! I believe they're £49,999.00. I've just checked my analytics and this channel hasn't made that in ad revenue since the day I started TOTAL so I think I'm gonna have to pass... unless you're taking me shopping.
Na. Not for me. I didnt like the sound but thats what its all about. Its subjective, this music thing. Good player but my "eargoggles" didnt make it sound pleasing. Lovely LP though. I must pop down to "Shady Bob's World of Wooden Stuff" and purchase a thing with string.

That’s what I been suggesting for awhile now 🤣 I have the solo down but not too sure if it’s like the vinyl.

Keep on the good work!
Awesome Zeppelin tune with great contrast in tone. You make it look so easy.
There’s a lot that goes into Zep/Page stuff even if the parts are “simple.” He’s a master of digging in whilst keeping things percussive and tidy.
Like in Ramble On, mello to hard rock but always consistent and tidy. I struggle with tidy, lol. @@SpedSpedding

One of my absolute fav Zep tunes , and you smashed it as usual 👍
Mine too! Appreciate you.
That tone is unbelievable. How?????
I’m now using my new Fractal FM9. I’m gonna make a video about it. It’s the best thing I’ve ever bought. ❤️🔥
that tone is RAUNCHY!
Haha! You know what, I'm gonna have to agree with you.
Hot dam!! I love that tune! The bap bap from bonzo as it starts to rock, is the best bap bap in recorded history!! Good work man
It really is isn’t it. Two gargantuan hits, best fill ever.
Love this track, such a killer riff

Awesome, thank you Chris! That verse riff slaps. Get ready for some chukkachukka’s.
The riff goes so hard 😎
Damn straight.
Its a great song. Played it over and over again when I first learned it. Just sounds so pro.
I think some of the best rock riffs have a simplicity to them in that respect.

We had a little chat about this zep classic a while back and I said you would kill it, it's great fun to play.
Hope I did it justice! The verse is my favourite part. 🔥

Cracking job once again Sped. Man I love how your guitar looks. I wish Gibson would release more guitars with plain tops.

Can you do a lesson on how to play the girl I love she got long black wavy hair by led zeppelin
One of the nastiness riffs in Rock.
Very nice Sped. Have you got your name down for one of the Gibson twin necks? Only £47,399….
