- A NEW first of its kind roller coaster is making it's way to Six Flags Over Georgia for the 2024 season! The Atlanta Georgia theme park just announced their 12th roller coaster... A brand new Intamin Ultra Surf and this shuttle coaster looks awesome!
What a smart move for the park to build a ride like this and I think this will become a very popular coaster for Six Flags Over Georgia! What do you think about this announcement?

Six Flags is working with Intamin, RMC and B&M. It's like the return of the golden age (maybe anyway.)
LOL...100000000000000000. They bought a mini Dive that cost 11-12 M & thus surf thing is even cheaper than that. It's essentially the super inexpensive half pipe coaster they have sold for 20 years with 150ft extra track to have a splash down. This is a super cheap ride.

This coaster will provide an interesting data point at the very least.
With Six Flags having a Mack power-splash, and now getting this. We (and more importantly parks) will get to see which model performs better in terms of reliability & guest satisfaction. This is critical now as this type of coaster is new to the US (aka, an untapped market). Whoever performs better will likely see *A LOT* of clones.

they should name it something to do with aqua man! I think the theme would fit well with all of the superhero coasters
Thoosies will complain, but I think this is the perfect fit for my homepark. We've been needing a coaster like this for years and with it we fill multiple gaps. Now, if Lake Winnie and Wild Adventures could just get those new coasters they need....

Forget the ride, the news of Intamin and Six Flags is great. Intamin has been delivering S class coasters

A cool concept, but the theoretical max capacity is 640 pph, and that's assuming a train is dispatched every 1 minute and 52 seconds 😭😭 definitely going to be a slower moving line than Dare Devil Dive
I just to see Six Flags working with Intamin again. Now we got two theme parks companies the other being Busch Gardens that working with I just Happy
My home Six Flags park is Great Adventure, but I’m pretty excited to see Over Georgia get a first-of-it’s-kind coaster next year!

This is awesome! Being my home Six Flags like at around 2 hours from where I live it’s great to see any addition that isn’t just a flat ride you see everywhere. 😊

Have they improved? I read that Energylandia's Hyperion is a maintenance nightmare, if that's true than Cedar Fair will stay away, and they should.
Cedar Point is a cry baby. They complain about every manufacturer. You can't build the most thrilling rides and not expect a maintenance nightmare. If you want reliable, go with a known model that's already been tested. Don't break every conceivable record and then complain about reliability.
I’m stoked for this addition, as to if it’ll open in 2024, I’m going to give it about a 40% chance given the chains track record with their most recent Junior Coaster additions. I mean we’ve got to remember Fiesta Texas’s kid flash just went vertical not too long ago, and over Georgia’s is still in the parking lot outside of Gotham City unless there’s been movement since I last checked.

This looks like a really fun coaster, but I feel like the throughput is going to be low. So the lines will be unbearable. Plus, the downtime for a first of it's kind ride may be high. But I'm excited to see this coming to GA. The water features look fun!
Yeah it wont have a turntable of any kind at least that I could see, so that's a plus for the mack one. This looks like a big disco coaster in comparison, lol
This is awesome but they need to get rid of scream machine and blue hawk and build another mc and launch coaster.
So, looking at this, what’s nice is that unlike the power splash, they should be able to actually tone down how wet you get on this thing in the off-season.

I hope Over Georgia can get a notable ground up coaster sometime before 2030, it’s been awhile and ultimately this is really just a family water ride, hardly a coaster.
Shouldn’t have removed rides like Deja Vu and the shuttle coaster we had, it’s a shame.

I’m here today! I watched the announcement live and am very excited. Kid Flash has gone vertical as we speak as well and I got to touch the track.
Very interesting things happened on that tour. We saw a Gerstlauer shipping container/crate (I have the photo) and we asked the Kid Flash tour people what it was about. They said it’s not for Daredegil and it’s a surprise 😮

The only drawback with Six Flags over Ga. Is that they will never have any rides over 200 ft due to Charlie Brown Airport being very close to the park. Tall structures are considered too risky to aircraft in the area.
Same thing with Fiesta Texas. They are nearby Air Force bases the park is located in which therefore preventing them to build a hyper. SFOG doesn’t really need a giga anyways.
As of the time that I am writing this comment, I am currently in the Georgia airport waiting for an Uber to my hotel. I’m going there the next couple days!

SFOGA is my home park and I am so not excited about this. A launch "water coaster" .... SMH. Again, a missed freaking opportunity. I mean we have the Log Flumes, Thunder River, and Hurricane Harbor, all in the same park. Not to mention White Waters which is roughly 20mins away. I mean, thrill seekers dont typically care for water rides here in GA and for those who say but the GP does.... nope.... it could be a 100 degrees outside and a vast majority would by pass a water ride for a coaster or AC and food. As the second built Six Flags park, I feel like we are constantly overlooked when it comes to thrill rides and park improvements. SFOGA is going to let Fun Stop one up them yet again. Cause Arieforce One was just the beginning. They have SO MUCH MORE PLANNED, but you dont have to take my word for it!
I hope we can get a figure 8 loop from intamin here in the future….
I must warn people in advance to this attraction opening that the ride wasn’t designed to be a water ride, it won’t get you wet, maybe a sprinkle but nothing much, otherwise I am happy that Over Georgia chose Intamin for this epic new product!
As an ATLien, guess my kids and I will continue to head up to Dollywood and down to Universal for real thrills. Disappointment sandwich.

I would much rather have a regular coaster or good flat ride than something like this. Do what the Smiler does and have misters to cool you off. Lines are always so long to get a little wet, so you can be dry in 5 minutes. I could do that at the water fountain and then go on a real ride 😁 ok rant is over 🤣

I do not believe it will be ready in 2024. Kid flash still isn't put together and it's at the very least 2 months behind with no new updated timeline announced.
This coaster won't be there until 2025 or very late 2024.
I dissagree with it opening too late in the season. There is ongoing progress so the park can have it open in summer 2024
@@Cat3465 I can honestly say, it sucks. It opened the first week of november. Or there about. It already had stress cracks in the seats. It has no padding and is clearly intended for people five feet and shorter. The ride is jerky and so short that they run you through twice. Which is not as fun as it sounds.

@@aftersexhighfives You're talking about Kid Flash, the P'Sghetti Bowl coaster they got for 2023. All I'm saying that I don't think the Ultra Surf will get delayed because of Aquaman. The only reason that Aquaman got delayed was that it did not or in fact lacked a turn table by mid construction when it was announced in 2019.

It's Over Georgia. It's not like Six Flags was going to restart their relationship with Intamin by buying a giga or a $30 million multi launch coaster unless if was going to Magic Mountain, Great Adventure or maybe Great America.

I don't like this because I can't ride it. I rode an Intamin Halfpipe coaster once, Avatar Airbender at Nickelodeon Universe inside Mall of America, to be exact), and I did not enjoy it because of how nauseous I got from it. Chances are the same thing will happen to me on this ride also, which is why I wish they would've had regular seating on this, or just built a Mack Rides Powersplash instead.
