In 93, the year a graduated H.S. this was bumping out my speakers, and now in 2015 as I sit in my corporate office at my desk eating sushi at lunch this is bumping out my speakers.

That Andre 3000, was the mouth piece for the South, especially when he said, "The South has something to say," at the Source Awards. That was a very classic saying back then and we needed that at a time, when we didn't have a voice in the South. Anyway, Dre killed his verse on this song. Big Boy handled his own on this song too. Great song and one of my favorites from Outkast. I was 14, when this song came out. Classic and it never gets old.
You hear it all here! OutKast took it all and put it together here. A menagerie of hip hop, funk, and soul! Truly one of the best compositions ever recorded. Simply put. Groundbreaking and Earth shattering.

very true, the second is my favorite. i loved their first album but i felt like it was trying so hard to be a hit, some of the rap turned to hip hop. this album is the best. the words are sharp and shows the most expression, i agree with you 100%
This is Westside, California all day long, but when OutKast drop this here boy; NOBODY was seeing them and I mean NOBODY from the Westcoast to the Eastcoast. Andre 3000 and Big Boi put ATL and the Dirty South on their backs and made a statement. I STILL pump this album and its my absolute favorite one from the Magnificent Duo. Been in the ATL since 1980. The 90s were the best years ever! Wish I could go back to these days... still in ATL and nothing is even close to this and hasn't been in 25 years or so...
This takes me back to my high school days, hanging out at my best friend’s house and listening to this album while playing video games. Those were the days.
This is one of the best freshman drops in any genre. Then to follow up with ATLiens & Aquemini (one of my favorite albums ever) ... now that's legendary. Those 3 are where the greatest hits are if you ask me.
