Sorry for the low res screen capture…I didn’t realize my OBS settings were messed up until after 😢
It’s alright we enjoy the content not the hi res of sum video quality 😊
need to match the lo-fi across the board, ha
@@josipvulic5471 that’s what I’m going with haha
Your channel is starting to become my go to music learning channel, you make it so clear and unlike other channels, i really dig the music you make. Great work!
That’s really awesome to hear! Thank you so much! 🙂
I agree!
Cheers again, really helpful ..keep them coming when ya can.
Thanks so much! Will hopefully be back with more very soon!
Another solid video! Thanks K.Hart!
Love it.
Thank you 🙂
Thank you for your work !
Thanks for watching!
that was dope! loved that bass fill
you always have me thinking of switching to Ableton whenever I watch your videos lol
Hey, thanks! I started making beats in Garage Band before I got Ableton. Super steep learning curve, but it’s such a smooth workflow! 😁
@@khartbeats Definitely
I'm just starting to get my head around Reaper after switching from the iPad
Also thanks for doing my video request!
I love how your videos are so easy to understand. No complicated steps on the mixing or how to handle samples; and showing us how to get the most of Ableton at the same time.
I couple months ago I made a song following one of your tutorials. Now it's the first song that has ever reached over 1k plays on Spotify. 🤯🥹
Thank you, K Hart! 🙌🏻
Amazing beat, btw.
That’s awesome! Congrats! So happy the videos have been helpful and easy to follow. Thank you! 😊
Very very slick of you to find the root note of the bass. I usually use tuner, and cross reference with piano and adjust a couple cts in simpler/sampler depending on what what point I place the sample. Will definitely use that spectrum trick in the future to confirm or cross reference. Excellent vid.
Also love colour limiter
Thank you! Tuner can also be helpful…sometimes I also have to pluck around on the piano to nail it down, but spectrum is definitely a big help.
yes yes. i duplicated your post almost. hehe. RIP GSH
Another incredible tutorial. Thank you!
Really appreciate it, thanks!
Drum generator looks fun, deviation is the coolest feature I’ve seen thus far from 12, thanks for sharing
I love the deviation feature…so easy to just set it and forget it haha. Thanks for checking out the video 🙂
You're awesome!
Thank you!
Love the beat 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks so much! 😊
thank you
GOTO LOVE THE BEAT GENERATE......As always great one.
Yep, new generate tools are awesome! And thank you 🙂
Another excellent video. Very informative with no BS.
Much appreciated!
thanks K. hart for the nice video !
Thanks for checking it out!
Simple effective and solid very nice beat and tutorial❤
Thanks so much!
Cool! The bass line is fundamental to the boom bap vibes. Thank you for sharing this.
Thanks! And yes, finding the right bass line can really make or break the vibe 🙂
Love the beats you come up with! I learn a lot from watching your posts! Nice work!
Thank you so much! 🙂
another nice one, and cool trick with the beat repeat going down, thanks
Thanks so much!
lots of gold in here-,, nicely done, & thanks for the thorough breakdown-,, .. appreciated,,- smooth ass beat too,,
Thanks so much! Really appreciate that.
This is your first video I've ever come across & I must say, this is clutch!!
Glad you liked it! Thanks so much!
This is one of my favorite channels on YT
Thank you so much 😊
I really enjoy how you make AL work flow look so effortless!!! Smooth vibe btw!!!🔥🔥🔥
Thank you, as always! You switch over to Ableton yet? 😁
Rabbit Tape pedal adds that touch of sparkle. Again great little composition, nice to show some love for beat repeat (keep forgetting about that gem), and is 4 tracks enough?... yeah it's enough :)
Agree with Rabbit Tape…does just add that little finishing touch. And thank you 😊
Love you K!!!....i don't know if i enjoy your content or just listen to you talking. You are very sweet and you enjoy teaching and showing to do the things you do.Keep inspiring!!!....LOVE FROM ARGENTINA!!!🤗❤️
Thank you so much! I do really enjoy teaching so I’m glad that comes across! Appreciate you watching and sharing that 😊
@@khartbeats Thank you K!!!🤗
K. Hart, what an amazing video! Teach me Ableton Live? lol
Thanks! Working on getting more videos and content out soon! 😁
I absolutely love these videos! I’ve been watching Bishu and Elimnate for sooooooo long and was hoping I’d find someone like them and am glad I stumbled across your channel. I tend to listen to a lot of 90s Ambient DnB/Jungle when I study so would love if you looked into making some of these vibes. Love from Scotland ❤🏴
Hey, thanks so much! Glad you stumbled across the channel and enjoy it! I’ll look into making some ambient DnB or Jungle 🙂
Everytime I watch something like this, I see how far behind the Reason timeline is.
I haven’t tried Reason, but I do really enjoy the workflow in Ableton 🙂
Sounds like funkmammoth!
Hadn’t heard them before, but very cool stuff! Thanks so much!
phenomenal work! is there any way you can make a video about how to make music like Jakey? specifically his ROMCOM album? Ive been watching so many tutorials and cant for the life of me figure out how he makes his music. Thank you !
Thanks so much! I’ll check it out 🙂
@@khartbeats awesome!
😃
I would actually be very interested to see how you would go about making Cyberpunk style music (or I guess dark mid-tempo) I’ve watched a lot of vids on how people put together but you actually go step by step. I use fl studio (mostly mobile) and I haven’t really been able to make anything that really pops to me.
Cool suggestion. I’ll add it to my list 🙂
@@khartbeats awesome! Can’t wait to see the vid (whenever that’ll be)
me gusto la vibra del beat anote un tips interesante gracias, me ha costado hacer intros para BoomBap grimy
Thank you! Happy it’s helpful!
if possible can you explain more in detailed on how exactly you found the key note for the bass ? i dont quite understand how u captured the note 😅 thanks in advance
Hey, yeah, so the spectrum analyzer basically shows what frequencies (notes) are being played. And since this sample already had bass in it, I just checked what notes it was playing by using the spectrum analyzer. Basically the largest spikes will show important frequencies like root, fifth, etc 🙂

@@khartbeats so it's like, when u press the note on the keyboard or midi, than the frequency will show it's a right note..? is it something like this in possibality ?
😊
4:29 I suppose it's quite the feat to figure out a key signature with a genre so famous for it's accidentals! I heard an F as the root note, but the chords were playing a high G, followed by C and A. That means that we have an Fadd2, or Fadd9 chord, right? The second chord sounds like an E minor with a G root note, but it's more likely to be a Gadd6, if I am not mistaken!
Accidentals do make it tough… after putting everything together I think I determined it was in F Dorian. I usually have to pluck around on the piano and just see what fits after I have a general idea of the key or mode.
@@khartbeats I never would have guessed because of the Ab, and Bb, I could have swore the first chord had a A natural in it! I do enjoy figuring things out like that though.
@@ForTheForsaken I know! Sometimes it's really tricky haha. Fun to nerd out over, though.
@@khartbeats I agree. Lots of fun!
Can you go over your studio set up? Do you run on Mac or PC?
I have a PC…I think it’s a Dell Aurora 11. And the beginning of this video goes over my gear setup

@@khartbeats cool thanks!
Are those ableton stock drum samples? I really like those drum sounds >
The hi hat and second snare are from the studio session drums pack from Ableton. The kick and main snare are from different sample packs.
@@khartbeats thanks for sharing!
Wanna collab
Not sure if you would be able to do anything like this, or have any interest in this type of music, but there is a producer called Jhinsen that works primarily with a label called “Generacija Zed” in Serbia that has been doing some really good work. The stuff he’s produced has been chart topping from what I’ve seen so it’s more pop music, but he’s been doing some neat things with current trends and infusing traditional Balkan sounds into it, but I’ve mainly been surprised by the quality of the production the last couple of years. Here are a couple of links to recent singles he’s produced:

Any insight you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated!
Listened to both and they’re definitely catchy…I see why they’re popular. It’s a little out of my wheelhouse, but the mix of traditional melody with modern synths in the first one is very interesting. Also interesting drum rhythms that aren’t typical to pop music make it stand out… just some of my insights 🙂
@@khartbeats I am from that region, but I’ve lived in the US since I was eight so it’s been fun for me to discover the new wave of music through Spotify and see that the kids are doing good work! I will say that even though it’s a more modern sound, it’s still mostly music about heartbreak and longing and whatnot so some things don’t change. Thanks for your input and reply!
my tip for the next lesson is dub techno tutorial and an example like this one ...ruclips.net/video/VZ8i5ivnUJg/видео.html ... ruclips.net/video/LJ-FVwTAOyg/видео.html
