    Congratulations on your presentation as well as your producer skills. It's a huge breath of fresh air, to find a producer which goes straight to the point, doesn't feel the pressure to be "edgy" or cynical or indulge the infamous "RUclipsr humor", yet you're charming and entertaining. Very enjoyable and instructive video. Love your composition too

  • @Emily_M81
    @Emily_M81 7 месяцев назад +1

    Only using OEM plugins is blessed. Too many people buy into "needing" all these 3rd-party plugins and sleep on what they have. Native devices also use less CPU. You're doing the Lord's work here.

    • @khartbeats
      @khartbeats  7 месяцев назад +1

      Much appreciated…it’s definitely easy to get sucked into the “I need this plugin” black hole. Thank you 🙂

    • @Emily_M81
      @Emily_M81 7 месяцев назад

      @@khartbeats you're welcome :) I primarily use Bitwig (or Live with my APC64), which lets me do some incredible things using the native devices that I can't with VSTs. It's the LEGOs of DAWs lol.
      Quick example: I can put a Reverb inside the reverb tank of another Reverb device. Or a Chorus. Or a Vocoder, or Resonator Bank. It gets wild XD

    • @khartbeats
      @khartbeats  7 месяцев назад +1

      a pleasure - like everyone else says, you've got a really engaging and matter of fact teaching manner. If you get a chance to do something on working in arrangement view as opposed to session view I'd find that helpful - I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but stuff keeps diappearing when I enter notes in arrangement view!@@khartbeats

    Fantastic video! Thank you for this. I searched every corner of RUclips to finally find a combination of great instruction and tasteful musical examples. By the way, this track got me thinking about possibly adding binaural beats. There’s a whole science behind brain entrainment sounds to help induce meditation and deep states of brain activity. I use those types of audios for meditation all the time. I think you could make something excellent in that genre. 😎

    Greetings, I'm new to your channel and completely hooked B-)
    Did you ever dive into ambient music as such?
    ... thinking plenty of chords, some drone and the occasional little narration with physical sounds, or some tiny melody fading in and out.
    I know, even more sleepy it seems, but hold on, the amount of space for multiple planes is immense!
    One also gets the opportunity to use every inch of that wide soundstage to fill the whole room with structure and story ... amazing stuff for experienced ears.
    Time for some binging now ;)

      Ambient is definitely on my (growing) list of music to make. Too many genres, too little time. Glad you’re enjoying the videos and thank you!!

      I do enjoy sleepy beats for relaxing. The headphones are Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X model. Super comfy…I love them.

    Good tutorial. Is there a reason you choose to send the ghost side chain to the sends instead of muting the track?

      Thanks! I guess it's just my preference...I don't like to keep muted tracks. I'll sometimes delete them by accident when I'm cleaning up my projects.
