    I remember your original tutorial about making pads from noise and I still use that technique in a lot of my tracks

    What is the difference between using the EQ for set the A frequency or using a resonator? Ableton has this cool effect called Resonators

    • @WillHatton
      @WillHatton  6 месяцев назад +2

      Great question, the resonator will be an additive effect, so creating the tone FROM the resonator itself AFTER all the foley/recordings. The EQ will actually create the tone from within the sound, so sweeping frequencies like speech or the birds used here will pass through that peaked tone in the EQ. I hope that makes sense written down? 😅

    • @jopmens6960
      @jopmens6960 5 месяцев назад +1

      I don't think that's it tho? Especially not effectively imo. Resonators don't really trigger without a source (either) do they?. Seems the difference is rather in the details like the Q or maybe chorusy effect or subtle overtones. EQ seems pretty pure/dry and targeted. There are often 5 ways to achieve something but details leading you into different directions.

    What you could also do is using one of the SerumFX Flanger or Comb filter on noise. The good thing about this technique is that the Flanger or Comb has some peaks the harmonic series

    Hello for some reason I'm unable to turn my audio file into a simpler -> sampler option. I'm using a Live 12 standard, is Sampler a paid addon?
    Just to add on to my questions: when I drag the audio file into a midi slot it gives me 3 options to whether turn it into harmony, melody, or drums. When I pick either of the 3 it completely changes it instead of putting it into a simpler. I can manually put it on a simpler in a midi slot but it doesn't give me the option to turn it into a sampler like yours do. Please let me know regarding this thank you!

    • @WillHatton
      @WillHatton  3 месяца назад +1

      @@AriesX13Channel when you drag an audio file to a midi channel it will try to convert it to harmony, melody or drums, if you drag an audio file to the bottom of the midi track where “devices” go, it will automatically create a simpler instrument. If you can’t right click and convert to sampler it might be because you’re in standard.

      @@WillHatton okay I will test this out later and yeah I realized when I saw sampler as a addon for 99 bucks thank you so much for your response much love to your guides 🙏

    What IF you Just Add the Tone with a Oscillator?

    • @WillHatton
      @WillHatton  6 месяцев назад

      It wouldn’t boost it as much as you need it to stand out, good idea though.

    • @jopmens6960
      @jopmens6960 5 месяцев назад +1

      But then you wouldn't have the advantage of the tone fluttering along with how much the boosted or resonated frequency varies in volume over time. You could add that flutter but at that point it just becomes inefficient and silly 😊
