Ariens, when the seat is all the way back, it rubs against the engine and will wear a hole in back of seat. I saw this on a unit with only 10 hrs on it. Saw another unit with 0.5 hours already rubbing at the same spot. Both were 2020 models. Are you all fixing this design error?
Is it normal for sides of the seat frame/pan to rub the adjacent metal frame? For instance where the made in USA sticker is and the parking brake sticker is those pieces of metal hit because the seat slides side to side on the round bar. Same on both sides. The paint is chipping off.
I bought a new 2023 Ikon Model 981005 Envy mower and the control handles are misaligned. My model does not have the same adjustment bolts as shown in you rvideo. Can you direct me where to find that information for my mower? Thank you.
need to line up my control levers, its still underwarranty but a pain to load it up and take it 25 miles to wait days for it to be repaired. Also, I am 6'2 and thiis mower is pretty uncomfortable to me but my wife of 5'4 has no problem.. I will try your adjustments and hopefully they work
@sawd01 the adjustments didnt help, BUT, i did take an old handle bar off a bicycle , cut it in half and bolted them on the mower after i took the Original handles off. Drives like an F-16 now.

I have the 34 edge and it doesn’t have the same bolt system at 1:50 where you make the adjustment. I even called customer support and still have no answers. Please help
The seat adjustment does not have enough distance to adjust. Compared to my Husqvarna zero turn, this mower so far has not been near as comfortable to operate. That said there are other aspects of the Ariens that are better such as the deck quality and the deck height adjustment system
Thanks for asking, Ralph. If your steering levers are contacting each other, turn the bolts on the inside of the steering arms to adjust them to move inward or outward. You'll see us make this adjustment around 1:55 in the video.
Just took delivery of an Ariens Ikon XD 52 from Lowes. The seat knobs are in the right place as many people say Lowes doesn't do that, but even with them tightened, the seat "freely" moves back and forth. I tried to mow, but I move back and forth the whole time. This won't work for me. Any thoughts??

I have the same mower. I love the mower and engine. But! One stick engages the transmission more than the other, i have calibrated both sticks(steering levers) to match while sitting, but the left engages faster than the right. At full leverage, the left wheel goes faster than the right even though the levers are lined up. This is most likely a Lowe's issue, Lowes is the worst (everyone gets that), but i need to know how to fix this and none of these videos show me how.

I understand that your dealers are extensions of your team, but do they help those who didnt buy from them but are under warranty including not charge for delivery as well?
I have a Zoom 34 Model 915211 and the seat is driving me crazy. I cannot get comfortable and my rear-end is constantly sliding forward on the seat. I have done all the forward and backward adjustment to the max and still have a problem. The seat has a very low backrest and no armrests. Can you recommend an up-grade seat to solve this problem PLEASE.

Odd that Ariens never responded to my comment. Of course I can move seat up a tad and I did but figured Ariens should know of defect.
This is still an issue just bought an brand new XD last week and already have a hole in the seat.

I’m 6’5” 250lbs and I have zero issue with it as far as comfort goes

On my ikon xd when I put my handles in the outward position it touches the black plastic on each side. How can I fix this?
