I'm 5'11 with a 27.5 in vertical. I can easily grab rim with two hands and have dunked off an oop twice. I'm almost through the first week of this program and I will keep y'all updated. Trying to be able to dunk the ball off the dribble this summer
this for sure works. im 5''4 and i used to be unable to smack the backboard or touch it After doing it three times a week for 2-3-weeks. I FINALLY CAN NO LIE
Just saw this vid. Trying to learn to dunk. Im 5'10/11 and as of today was able to palm the rim. I plan to do this over the next 2 months, and be able to fully dunk by the end of the summer, ill post again with results. Thank you for the tips! wish me luck.
It took only me fourteen days to dunk easily using my two hands, through the help of this vertical jump program. This just shows how effective this program is. I am becoming among the best big man athlete on my team just like a mini Blake Griffin. I found this jump program by Google. Its over here t.co/aX2oR1o9FS
Sorry for late comment! Sadly, the week of the workout I landed on my right ankle and couldn't do this workout without having a lot of pain. But once it gets all better I will let you all know how it goes!
I am 16 and 6.6 ,6.7 feet tall,I'm white, before this training I had 20 inch vertical, been doing it for 3 months now increasing reps as I go and now I am at 36 inch vertical
Hello , I want to ask some questions . 1) How long should the rest time be on each set or when you change exercises? 2) If the routine seems easy to someone , can he put more exercises in the routine like deadlifts , calf raises or sprints? 3) How many sets should we do of the whole workout?
I'm definetly going to try the workout, looks awesome and I believe it's going to help for sure. Any tips on nutrition for muscle rebuild or any tips on some awesome stretches to improve vertical hops? and both those items are key to success in vertical jumping so curious as to what you suggest. Thanks for the vid by the way.
only took me like a month to dunk, when I started I could barely get my fingers over the rim... can't wait to continue my progress and pull off some filthy dunks hopefully!

I'm 15, 5'7" Standing reach 7' Posting my result in 6 weeks, started this a week ago. I can say it added inches to my vertical. Aiming for a 42" vertical but it'll take years
If anyone see this. This workout added a few inches to my vertical maybe around 2-5 inches but while doing this not only did I do plyometric exercises. I also did weights exercise, weights exercise is very helpful to gain muscle. Don't be surprise if this exercise add a few inches because whatever goal you reaching will take time but patience will lead you there. Good luck for anyone out there.
Stretch needs to be done after working out, as your nervous system is used to contract muscles when they're in a normal state, if you stretch them, your body will be too loose to actually create enough kinetic energy. You should first warm up your joints, sending your blood flow high and then start working out. After you're done, you should stretch the muscles to keep them from being contract and letting the blood flow into them, so that the nutrients will be absorbed faster by the muscle tissue!
Nit picking mate, if he was to do a video with weights incorporated into his programme, you'd probably think it's "safe to say " that doing those exercises without weights are good too.. Wasn't worth a mention Bad joke, good post mate, just pulling your leg.
Bodie F Doesn't mean he's not a superior athlete. Plenty of athletes did/do steroids and still suck. Talent comes with hard work and natural ability not synthetic HGH and Testosterone. It just enhances his performance.

+Lokki Somerville could someone clarify for me? the rest period is after the 6 weeks until the next plyo workout correct? during the 6 weeks workout try to complete the workout with the highest effort right? even if body is fatigued just try as much as possible? thanks.
+ghettoracer I believe the "Rest Period" I have here is throughout the week between workouts... The body actually builds muscle in it's recovery period, so good recovery between workouts is key to gains. Hope that helps
Thanks Brendan! this exercise helped me so much and now I can just jump from my house which is 5 miles away from the school all the way to the school!!!
So after 6 weeks I've added about 2.5 inches to my vertical. I'm 6'1" with a 32" vertical now. I can dunk with a volleyball now but not yet with a basketball. What do you recommend I do now to continue gaining? Thanks for the tips, Brendan.
I'm 15, 5'8 and I want to dunk so bad on a 10 foot hoop. If I do this is it like a definite that I will be able to dunk on 10 feet? (Btw I can dunk on 9 feet)
Thanks for the video. I've only done it twice so far and already feel a difference in my explosiveness. I have a question. It's probably kind of silly but when you say make your rest periods long as possible until you fully recover - are you referring to the amount out time between sets in an individual gym session or the amount of days between a gym session? If my legs are still sore 3 days later should I wait until they're fully healed?
Take the biggest rubber maid container you have then put as many weights as possible inside and on the bottom put something flat then flip the container over the weights should fill the container up until the flat thing you out there and jump on that.
thank you for your video. Just did my first day! quick question though.. how can I combine this workout with the gym.. should I refrain from doing squats and deadlifts for the next six weeks?
I have a couple videos on my channel talking about this, but I recommend one day a week for plyometrics like those shown in this video, then another day in that week for squats and deadlifts

filippos theoharis Vert-Shock by Adam Folker ... Add up to 9-15 inches to your vertical jump with our proven secrets, guaranteed howtoslamdunk.blogspot.com.uk
i had to run from the police one day and i learned things i knew about my self. i think us black people have a mayday system that kicks in during a chase LMAO.
Ignore this program. Just do explosive deadlifts and squats mixed in with vertical jumps. Jump the way your sport requires. Train the technique. Always jump and reach as high as you can. That will get you much faster results than doing repetitive, half-effort box jumps. I got my vert up to 35 inches for volleyball without doing any box jumps. Increasing your vertical isn't magic. Just train smart with progressive overload, keep your bodyfat low and don't burn out your nervous system (don't do plyometrics every day).
Anon Ymous The above advice is generally for double-leg jumping. Single leg requires you to be taller and lighter. Its less strength and speed based and involves more momentum, leg-drive and technique. And your training should be less squat/deadlift and more lunging, sprints, step ups, calfjumps. IMHO
Ye you right.I just lift with daily routine like monday for leg, tuesday legs and so on.I put more on legs by going heavy on machine.this way,i could completely have a strong legs without worrying about any pain when I land. Most importantly, explosiveness is included in machines workout so yeah...just hit the gym with every legs machine lol.
I am 6'1 weighted around 82kg and having like 15% body fat,yet i can fly easily on one leg lol.im pretty suck at two legs but it doesnt matter cause its hard for my height do a quick two foot dunk anyway.idk hw to say but all i do is lifting for legs but it seems that one foot jump always have high explosiveness like it comes naturally.
+Joschua Mischur Nice man im 5'11 and im going into my freshman year of high school and I can kinda hang on rim but once i start training ill hopefully be able to dunk before school starts!!!!!
right now I'm still grabbing rim and not dunking yet but I gained weight ( I have belly fat and thigh fat) and now I'm 153 pounds and 6'1. so i will work on loosing extra body fat and do more intense workouts
Deridia I wish, always been a dream, but I havnt put in the work. I'm couple of inches away from the rim. I touched it couple of times when i was younger
+Mike Taylor interesting points ,if anyone else needs to find out about jump training basketball try Moorack Pro Dunk Miracle (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my work buddy got great results with it.
+Mike Taylor That's actually really surprising. when I was younger and just in athletic shape ( 6' 170 to 180) I could jump from directly under the rim and grab it with 2 hands. That was with no weight training. I think I can do it 1 hand and I'm pushing an unathletic 220 now.
Thanks for the tips, a few of these exercises I've been missing on my non weight leg workout days like the jump over to tuck, depth jumps and one leg ployo. Definitely appreciate the video! As of right now @ 5"10 I can touch my wrist to the rim so with these I should definitely be able to get to my forearm, will report back! Thanks again!
***** DUDEEE so today I was looking up at the rim while standing under it and wanted to see if all your workouts have been paying off. Without running, from a stop(straight up vertical) I grabbed the rim. I even surprised myself and yelled out at the gym lol. THANK YOU SO MUCH. damn good results in a few months
Hi Brendan, you have another video with the title The BEST Calisthenics Workout For HUGE EXPLOSIVE Legs and i would like to know between two which routine will generate a higher jump
Hi Brendan I just started your regiment today and am excited to see if itll really improve my vertical enough for me to dunk! I know i need a good 4 to 6 inches to get to the dunk as i am already able to touch the rim just enough, so I'm assuming that'll be what i need. Just curious, when you say 3 times a week are you basically saying with a rest day in between the workouts? Like only T, TH, Sat or something like that?
Hey Brendan. Should I increase the reps of the exercices so they can be effective since I did some of them in a 3-month routine half a year ago or should I do more sets ? What do you think ?
your amazing bro! but i had a question regarding knee pain? have you ever crossed patellar tendonitis or jumpers knee during your training? if so what have you done and did it go away? thanks much! looking forward to your response!
Brendan bro thanks I have been doing this whit some other exercises like squat hoops and and one leg squats for almost 2 weeks and now I'm touching the rim ... so exited (y)
Thanks Brendan I did this for like 4 weeks and I am already seeing results but when I am done this routine should I continue on this path of exercises. Will this keep adding height to my leap?
I've got a question, I train Basketball 3 Times a week (Tuesday,Thursday and Friday) and on the weekend I usually have at least one game, sometimes even two. My question now is when would you recommend me to do these exercises? On the days I've got Basketballtraining or on the offdays? I know that I need to have 48hrs for recovery so in the offdays it wouldn't make sense because I then wouldn't have enough recovery time right?
I'm 5'6 and 15 years old but will be 16 in a few months. My current jumping isn't that good as I can barely get a couple to few inches above the bottom of the net. I'll truly see if this increases and if I'll be able to touch backboard or/and rim. I'll update this post on four weeks.
hey brendan! thanks for the video, I just have one question: how can I add this to my next week routine? I'm gonna do gym monday, wednesday and friday, the other 2 days will be MMA. Your routine could be done in mma days or weekends? I'll wait for your suggestion!
I'm 6'0, got a 32' vert, play volleyball and I want to jump higher. I have my spiking approach down, my question- Will 3 days of this program every week AND Leg weight lifting once every week help me increase my vertical effectively or should I adjust that?
hello , i making my program of preseason workout basketball , can i make this with other exercise's? i think do this training always in monday:) it's good idea ?
ok, honest question. is this any better than just jumping up as high as you can from standing for reps? maybe you do this for the cardio in order to maximize your vertical height vs weight ratio.
I'm 6 feet tall and can now dunk after 9 weeks of training. Thank you Brendan for helping me with my vertical jump!
3 days a week
Plyo jumps 3x3
Jump over to tuck jump 3x3
Single leg tuck jumps 2x4
Split jumps 4x3
Depth jumps 2x5
Vertical jumps 4x3
One leg plyo jumps 3x4
Rest=fully recovered between each exercise

I just do tuck jumps. That plyo jump looks like a tuck jump without the landing part. I think that tuck jumps are therefore even better exercise.
I use cabinet and chair nearly on size of those things
@@phalle32 you got the result tho bro? And how many inches?
amazing routine, but make another video for streching before routines because if you do this wihtout warming up someone may feel knee pain ;)

hell yeah dude! thanks! don't have access to weights so thanks for the tips.
I think it's safe to say you need to incorporate weight training with calenthenics. All the top athletes also use weights Lebron, Bolt, A-rod etc...

MG5 Not bad. I'm getting my wrist above the rim, but it's harder to jump whilst palming a ball.
+OdieOde I'm getting middle Palm hopefully I'm dunking at the end of the year
MG5 That's been my goal too. Good luck, bro

Hey Brendan, what do you recommend, this workout routine or the other, newer one that you lately posted. Thanks.
Gonna start this workout for basketball & high jump! Hopefully it'll help!
I paused the video so he could rest
Lol. This is the most innocent thing I've ever heard.

Not all heros wear capes

IMHO
How did u increase Ur vertical what exercises did u do
A lot of exercises man. There isnt any ONE magic exercise that will give you amazing results. What sport do you play?
Wat the hell is this we obviously cant jump that high in the frist place 😑. Bruh make somethind useful
Bro u can't jump with two legs as high as he can with one stop being a hater.
Blake Lindler I'm pretty sure Jacob meant most of the viewers can't jump High enough for most of the exercises like the first platform jumps he does
Rexxzz you just have to do the exercise.but use sthing you can jump over .of course you wont jump as high as brendan from the start
Thanks Rexxzz thats wat i meant 👍
If you can't perform a simple platform jump focus then focus on your general fitness because it's not difficult.
Currently 6ft 2 and only can grab rim. I will start this work out and hopefully post a video of me dunking in six weeks. Thanks man you got my sub
This honestly helps a lot!!
Im 5,8 and After 8 weeks of Training i can dunk
+Joschua Mischur Nice man
+Hype yea i work on a 360 under The leg but i Need more hangtime i habe to work more for this:D
what was your vertical before and after this workout?
i can dunk I'm 6''
+Joschua Mischur Nice man im 5'11 and im going into my freshman year of high school and I can kinda hang on rim but once i start training ill hopefully be able to dunk before school starts!!!!!
I'm 15, 6'0 ,148 pounds
I can barley tip the rim
so I'm starting this today my results will be posted in 6-8 weeks 👍
R3d Dot so far?
im grabbing rim
R3d Dot what about now
Damn seriously?
right now I'm still grabbing rim and not dunking yet but I gained weight ( I have belly fat and thigh fat) and now I'm 153 pounds and 6'1. so i will work on loosing extra body fat and do more intense workouts
1:00 thats not human lol
***** im age 34 and cant touch the rim is there any hope for me? im 5'11.5 165 and 17% body fat.
+Mike Taylor Almost 6' and not overweight? You should have a pretty easy time dunking, honestly. You just need to put in the work.
I think I can do it 1 hand and I'm pushing an unathletic 220 now.
love this workout THIS KID IS AWESOMEEEEEEE
+Brendan Meyers You're an absolute FREAK Brendan. Keep it up!
Cheers for the video really helpful keep making videos like this please. :)
This was very helpful. Thank you!
What a work out bro GREAT!!! Thanks a lot man hope this helps I'll get back to you
I am going to start it tomorrow!
Brendan bro thanks I have been doing this whit some other exercises like squat hoops and and one leg squats for almost 2 weeks and now I'm touching the rim ... so exited (y)
+Roy Cardenas GLAD I COULD HELP!! #CalAesthetics
Thanks Brendan I did this for like 4 weeks and I am already seeing results but when I am done this routine should I continue on this path of exercises. Will this keep adding height to my leap?
I am training for volleyball
I've got a question, I train Basketball 3 Times a week (Tuesday,Thursday and Friday) and on the weekend I usually have at least one game, sometimes even two.
My question now is when would you recommend me to do these exercises?
On the days I've got Basketballtraining or on the offdays?
I know that I need to have 48hrs for recovery so in the offdays it wouldn't make sense because I then wouldn't have enough recovery time right?
ok thanks alot man this is surely going to help me
Cook video man. Very good intro!
I'm 5'10 and can dunk...been able to since I was about 5'6. These exercises work. including core work and toe raises
Hey Brendan , Great video. I got a little problem, i have not any platform or something to jump on,how can i do this exercise to get the same effect?
Great tips my man!
I'm 5'6 and 15 years old but will be 16 in a few months. My current jumping isn't that good as I can barely get a couple to few inches above the bottom of the net. I'll truly see if this increases and if I'll be able to touch backboard or/and rim. I'll update this post on four weeks.
Another note: no one in my family can dunk, including a brother almost 6'3, and we are not known for having the best jumping genetics or genes.
Hows now bro
hey brendan! thanks for the video, I just have one question: how can I add this to my next week routine? I'm gonna do gym monday, wednesday and friday, the other 2 days will be MMA. Your routine could be done in mma days or weekends? I'll wait for your suggestion!
Thanks for the vid man. it seems promising im 5'5 and i can touch the net but with this workout i think i can touch the rim in no time.
I love this video it works great for cheer!
Would you recommend continuing other leg work outs with weight along with this or just this for a leg workout?
I'm 6'0, got a 32' vert, play volleyball and I want to jump higher. I have my spiking approach down, my question- Will 3 days of this program every week AND Leg weight lifting once every week help me increase my vertical effectively or should I adjust that?
hello , i making my program of preseason workout basketball , can i make this with other exercise's? i think do this training always in monday:) it's good idea ?
ok, honest question. is this any better than just jumping up as high as you can from standing for reps? maybe you do this for the cardio in order to maximize your vertical height vs weight ratio.
