BBC should have paid Grace’s debts in full, provided medical and psychological care and a year’s salary and a scholarship for school and vocational training
Why ? The men of her family and their government should do it. It’s their job. And responsibility Not to British tax payers. Or gov. This is feminist garbage anti African. And male.
@@sefp Sex trafficking is happening in the UK mainly affecting young working class white girls. The british government are not doing enough to protect these girls. I am not a fan of the bbc but they should help her as she helped them investigate.
It wouldnt be a problem if it would be legal and the state could supervise its smoothness, like any other work. The alcohol prohibition in the '20 just brought crime and gangs to the market. Until these girls cant get proper education to get proper jobs; they should be allowed (and not forced by gangs) to sell what they have for a better future.
The end of the Documentary, while lovely for Grace, was deeply unsatisfying because no mention was made of whether or not she risked her life for nothing. This video is 4 years old and yet not a word about whether there were any repercussions for the traffickers.
@@zoer7338I just came here wondering the same thing! What happened to these criminals? The BBC had video evidence of their crimes! Did nothing more happen? @@Senee628that's a rather long winded way of saying you want to pay for sex because you can't get laid. No human should have to sell their dignity for their future. And you really think making the government the pimps in the situation would help? You're just proposing adding sex work as yet another major legal industry that can bribe and sway government officials to make laws in their favor, or ignore criminal misconduct. Governments are just people too, and they're subject to the same short comings and failure. Alcohol and drugs are easy to regulate as well. You can simply test them for harmful substances, and make sure manufacturing standards are followed. That's not easy at all when it comes to an entirely human driven and untestable industry. There is no simple way to evaluate the health or safety of someone, or how they are being treated. Just look at any cult or fundamentalist religious group. Look at all the abuse scandals that have happened in Hollywood and taken decades to come out. There's way more that we haven't heard about that never saw justice. People are easily coerced or bribed into staying silent about their mistreatment. You're just proposing that the government be allowed to make a profit from that misery, rather than seeking to eliminate the reasons people turn to it in the first place.
I hope the BBC provide aftercare for Grace...she went above and beyond for them...the traffickers will have her details and could track her down if they wanted to exact revenge on her...Duty of care from the BBC is a must in situations like this and I for one do not mind my licence fee going towards funding protection etc for people like Grace...can anyone from the BBC confirm if they provide assistance and aftercare...

‘Trafficked to India for RAPE’. Sex implies consent. And the term sex workers is for people who independently, legally and willing work in the industry. Not those who are trafficked. They are victims and survivors - not ‘sex workers’. They are forced. The language used around sex trafficking and sex abuse is important because implying consent relieves the traffickers of responsibility and overall diminishes the gravity of the crime.

They are there to write, not care. BBC jumps at every opportunity to give its former colonies bad press, so its citizens are lulled into a sense of 'everything is fine at home.'
BBC is somewhat like the UN is during genocides. They're there around the victims to keep them safe, but literally do nothing to improve their situation or stop the violence being done to them each day while they're still there with them. Cite what happened in Rwanda and Yugoslavia, among others.
Yeah god is with them but all people are not same in fact all humans are not even same so don’t blame yourself what some heartless guys did just because you’re Indian 🙏👍

I am so ANGRY that despite all the evidence and a “year later” no arrests were made. And I was shocked at the fact that Grace even stayed in India for long after all that but obviously not knowing the time frame between the contact to the chairman & her departure. However, this should still be taken to authorities and embassy’s in both Nairobi and India. An investigation needs to be launched using the evidence already collected!

I live in Delhi, India. I see many African women at night standing beside the road wearing provocative clothing. Especially in areas like Tilak Nigar and South Delhi. I feel bad for them. African countries should look into this... Slavery of Africa in History was only possible due to some African traitors who sold their own blood for money...
Not exactly their "blood" just like India has different tribes, castes, religions etc Africa has the same except the caste part. So people didn't sell their own, they sold people from enemy villages or towns or tribes especially after a war. Other times people were just Kidnapped and sold. Other times criminals were sold, amongst my tribe there was a tale of a man who was sold off to slavery after killing someone, he was to be killed as punishment for his crime but the white men said they'd pay to take him so something like a pay us to take our criminals started. It was like a win win situation, the community gets paid and the community gets rid of criminals no more executions and no more criminals and more money coming in. They didn't really know what happened to the criminals all they knew was they never came back again and they were ok with it, they didn't want them back in the first place.
Na, the most agitating thing is that nothing happened to Eddie or anyone involved in this, they will just continue this sick cycle without any consequences 😢😔 but you’re right poverty really is the devil.

‘Trafficked to India for RAPE’. Sex implies consent. And the term sex workers is for people who independently, legally and willing work in the industry. Not those who are trafficked.
