    Chuck, I was just a little nervous when you were using that knife to cut the tarps off the chicken tractors! Not too long ago I remember Dale saving your life after a knife incident 😮. Does Sandra know you are using it without proper supervision?😅

      🤣🤣 Not until the video came out.
      I was going to call Dale and put him on standby. Happy to report no stab wounds this round.
      🤣🤣🤣

    What is your starting month for chickens and how many chickens do you go through in your chicken season?

    • @SheratonParkFarms
      @SheratonParkFarms  11 месяцев назад +1

      We start them in the brooder in February. Each season is different. We’ve done as many as 2000 in a year.

    The bees don't bother u when mowing ? I would think that they would be upset.

      As long as you don’t bump that stand you’re good to go. I’ve ran a weed eater right up next to them and no problems.

    Have you ever considered getting your dogs well trained for herding? They have the instinct for it. I know you might think that it would stress the cows to use dogs, but a well trained dog that they know and see on a daily basis doesn't stress them. It would just save you a lot of time and effort. A dog can do the work of three men.

    I don’t know how much gardening you do. I was thinking maybe get some clear gardening plastic and use the chicken tractors as greenhouses for seedlings to start in the spring. Just an idea.

    They say hard work keeps you healthy so all us farmers ranchers and homesteaders should be awfully healthy with all the hard work everyone does. Take care and be blessed

    Enjoy your channel. Have you ever done an episode specifically about your egg layers? Production (the breeds you choose and where you purchase your stock) , preparation (cleaning, grading, and packaging eggs) sourcing egg cartons, etc. I don’t recall seeing one, but I’m sure many viewers would have an interest.
