My longest was 22 days. It helped me so much. I prayed pretty much the whole time. I was very ill back then. I took it one day at a time. I was in a lot of pain when I started the fast. I had a tumour and it shrunk a bit. Fasting is am amazing and powerful tool.
Question: I've known others doing a long fast like you did who also said it helped them alot. Energy, clarity, etc. So if it is THAT incredible, why does it seem they've only done it once or twice in their lives? Seems like one would want to do it more frequently? Just wondering.

Other fasts I would get increased mental clarity. I would have bursts of creativity. I think there can be a season for longer fasts.
Knowing and realizing you are stronger than the cravings gives you so much energy and self confidence to continue. Each further day you realize how far you can do 😊
I completed my first prolonged fast 2 weeks ago of 22 days . I’m currently 24 hours in on another fast but for 3 days . I love fasting so much I want to incorporate 24 hours every other week , 72 hours once a month & 22 days once a year . Happy fasting 🎉

It depends on your body. Most people take up to 5 days to hit Ketosis and get that hit of sudden energy levels. Personally it took me 3 days and feel more energized. 2nd day was the hardest with fatigue and jitters.

I was in seminary, just chilled reading bible.. and meditating the book of ester.. and amazing story.. after that.. my sister texed me to say ester is born.. my neice. Coincidence. Interesting though. But after more than 3 days i was concerned why i didnt feel hungry or thirsty. Dr. Google said... im going to die.. so I ran and broke my fast
Add table salt to your fast if your worried about electrolytes. From what I heard it works because salt contains electrolytes I’ma start fasting and let you know. And as far as nutrition you’ll be a bit deficient so when you start eating again you want to eat very small meals depending on how long your fast was.
@@Dineoish Light work. Just drink enough water and take your minerals once a day once the sodium deficiency kicks in. I lost 20.1 pounds. It’s been so much harder to do another though. My body knows what to expect now.
48 is my sweet spot. I did 72 hrs but made it to 71. It was brutal and very disappointed but still lost 10 lbs. I will not attempt it ever again. I rather stay my current wait and do an 48 hour fast.
I do 35 hr fasts, Friday and Tuesday. I also do 20:4 Thursday and Monday. But I always break my fast with bone broth and then eat my normal low-carb breakfast/dinner Tuesday I eat moderate carb Saturday Sunday same

After day 15 toothpaste and a toothbrush are your friend, trust me on that. The buildup of saliva is hectic and funky. That’s when you get surprised by factory mouth and body odors. Not pleasant but worth the regular showers and keeping the mouth clean. You might also throw up at some point, it’s different for most people, some don’t throw up. I did
I will be on vacation in the beginning of November... I'm trying prepare to make a three day fasting... My only fear is that I have huge headaches all day don't stop just to stay without eating breakfast. My sugar levels are always low. And the headache don't pass not even with strong medicine.... let's see if I'm able. Can I drink all day black coffee with lemon juice?
Going keto first then doing a block fast is much easier as your body is not searching for carbs. You want to build up to a 3 day fast, not jump right into it. Make sure youre getting electrolytes in every day. Black coffee and water with lemon are both fine
@@KetoKamp thanks... I barely eat carbs, I'm not keto, don't eat sugar no gluten...just a sweet potato or potato some times. I'm already with 16 hours intermittent fasting. I did increase my protein. I think that will be the problem. But if I stay with headaches I will resolve it and drink coconut water trough the day.

84 hours was my longest and I wouldn't really want to go past that, I've actually done 36 hour alternative day fasting for around a week and that was quite tough but definitely a great weight loss tool and all the other benefits fasting comes with. I can only transition successfully to a fast after doing keto diet so my body is running off fat, if I try it while carb adapted, I will lose my mind and cave, but keto makes it almost too easy to transition.
