Thank you! I have symptomatic hypermobility spectrum syndrome and I completely lack proprioception. Engaging the correct muscles during exercise has always been a challenge for me, and I didn’t even know it until I was diagnosed by my rheumatologist and referred to a wonderful physical therapist. I have to have my PT actually touch the muscles that I should be recruiting to recognize what I should be doing. Your video uses the physical queues I need to remind me how to keep my core engaged. I love, love, love your explanation of how to do lunges correctly and made a sign for my workout area that says “My nose is over my knees, over my toes”! Please do a video on proprioception, how people with hypermobility disorder, or HEds can lack that body awareness, and how to help them.
Omg thank you! This is about the 100th video I watched and finally got it!🎉😂 This whole breathe push gut out/pop belly and then squat down which btw is all over you tube!! Didn't feel natural knew it was wrong and searched endlessly lol
This is so helpful! I'm still struggling with understanding how to do this. I feel like I can't breathe when I do it. How do I drop my rib cage? I don't know if I'm engaging properly. ☹️
Looks like you found this video! It can definitely be difficult to get this to coordinate properly. Practice and consistency can definitely help it click. Try forceful exhales to feel the front of the ribcage tighten down. Maybe this video will help too: ruclips.net/video/sZsc6XqQLHg/видео.htmlsi=zpBy8SIkiOlBJiMI
That can definitely make it tough. Have you seen a pelvic floor physical therapist? They can really help guide you in how to start building this core strength and coordination back!
