Been listening to Counterparts a lot more lately, and this song in particular along with Cold Fire. This tour was one of the top 2 or 3 concerts I ever saw from Rush and I saw them at least once every tour since Power Windows.
I must say!! I love the 'new' video genre that you have introduced....I play these videos on The Music Lounge during my shows.....thanks for putting the 'new' extreme on the lyrics.... ~~DJ Rick
Just watched all of them. Still Kickin.....you have got some real talent! Thank You for you hard work on all of these. Now that I cant ever see a Rush concert again (so sad) I scour the internet for talented folks who set this amazing band and their incredibly deep lyrics to video.I had imagined in my head for so many years what the video would look like to songs like natural science, or Jacobs Ladder. Every time a big front is moving in with dark clouds, I am desperately looking for the song to match the live scene.Again, excellent work - thanks.Sending links to all my rush friends so they can get more views on this!Chris
Did YOU put this video together? This is a great video, man. Sure, the song is cool, but this video is pretty badass. Yeah. I remember reading something when this album was still new. They had a new producer who went in and stirred things up. Got rid of all the technical stuff and started unplugging headphones... It's like, "Take off those pansy headphones and turn up the Marshalls". So they did. And it was good. This was a good tour for me. I made it to the front row and got backstage after the show. A forklift driver spotted me and told me that I'd better get busy. So I started loading their trucks. A whole bunch of stuff happened that night that I'm not gonna get into, but it was a night I'll never forget. And I forget a lot of stuff. But I didn't meet the band, which is okay. I did however, snag the sign off the production office door. I have it framed and it's visible in the background in some of my earlier videos. But back to this video... If I didn't know that they didn't have a video for this song, I would think that this was the official video for it. Great job.
Nice. I had not heard this in a bit. I used to sit in my car, smoke a bowl and play the album thru. I wonder whatever became of my Counterpart tour t shirt..
Best song on this album. When the song kicks in and goes fast, you chose to use slow-mo footage. I was fascinated by what a beautifully ironic effect that created. The final scene with the young gnu was an epic message. Your video ties this song in with another great Rush song, "We Hold On". I'd love to see what you could do with that song as well.
Still nobody talks about the Dolby z digital effects, need a 6.1/7.2 amp, with sub. Then maybe you'll hear counterparts as it was intended, till then your brains are stuck in stereo
really? I could make arguments that would convince you. But let's start with the easiest one: MONEY- FINANCES. does that solve the problem? DDD is there for a reason, honestly. the artists WANTED you to hear it in 6.1, and the engineers producers MADE it possible. DOLBY LABS improved B/C. NOW do you want to hear the NEW Rush? haha gotcha
I can do both. I've got a video project going, it says stereo but a program can raise it to 6 channels. You have, basically, no respect for the producers. They studied and worked and were paid big bucks to do a 7 channel production. Luv Luck Lucite
Big Bank Productions My personal musical preference means I have no respect for the producers? That's a big stretch. If you follow that logic, switching to 6.1 would disrespect any producer who put time and money into producing a decent stereo mix. However, I will try 6.1 if it is within my budget.
"Young enough not to care too much

Deep lyrics
One of Rush's more underrated songs and albums.

AnubisXII Wasn't it Peter Collins, the one who brought us Power Windows and Hold Your Fire?
You do great work AnubisXII...
Nice. I had not heard this in a bit. I used to sit in my car, smoke a bowl and play the album thru. I wonder whatever became of my Counterpart tour t shirt..
Loved the cheetah chases; thanks
Duane Parsons Thanks for watching!!

Side 1 of Counterparts is as good as anything they've ever done LONG LIVE RUSH
Yeah!
Well done! Grats!
Felipe Fraga Thanks!!
You sir are the Rush video whisperer.
Thank you....!
HELL YEAH !!!!!
If this wasn't the original video for the song, it should have been.
Great video
Sorry didn't reply to your comment 😊
The synthesizers ended in Presto

I'll stick with good old fashioned analog stereo, thank you very much.

Big Bank Productions Nope. Analog has more depth and less compression than digital. I used to listen to music in surround but prefer it in stereo.
I can do both. I've got a video project going, it says stereo but a program can raise it to 6 channels.

How your vids have so few views is a mystery to me. I will help to perpetuate!
+Larry Lewis Thanks so much!!
an unjust one as such as in in art cut
you may be right, it's all a waste of thyme
