What is An All Occasion Suit? Viewer's Request video

A viewer wanted to see my all occasion suit, remarkably I still have it. I bought this suit in 2003. Is that vintage? I certainly did not make it but it inspires me to make something similar. No I don't have any pictures of me in this suit and if I do I have no clue where to begin the hunt. I didn't try it on because I know I am not the same size I was 20 some years ago, I wish. Just a fun little show and tell video. Love to hear from you maybe you have a video idea you would like to share. Leave me a comment!

My all occasion suit was the pants and jacket black with grey pin stripes I wore it to every where the all occasion dress we all called the dolie dress with the big white collar . Thanks for the memories.

Wow, that’s a good looking suit. The only time that I can wear polyester is in the dead of winter, maybe. It’s way too hot down here for anything made from polyester. I used to have an outfit similar to that, but in linen, white pants and a red jacket. I wore a tank top underneath also, even long sleeve linen is too hot in the middle of summer. I did not wear that one to funerals, I had black jacket and a black dress for that. That pinstripe fabric is going to make a stunning outfit. I was surprised to see pinstripes on the jacket, they didn’t show up on camera until you got close. I love having those staples, I need to make me an all occasion suit, but it doesn’t have to be somber as I don’t go to funerals anymore. Take care and seeing a snoring kitty cat would be the bomb!

@@PracticalStitches you get used to it, I guess. I probably couldn’t survive the cold weather that you face every winter. I am cold at seventy degrees, lol

@@sbrickett we had a pretty good winter there were minus ten days which is 14 F instead of the usual -30 🥶 which is -22F I'm not complaining

Ouuu. I love it. It’s such a great idea. The dress with pearls and heels is basically a little black dress except it’s dark navy. The blazer is for the wedding and then you can take it off and your ready for the reception. The blazer would also be really great over a pair of jeans even. It looks really sharp. I definitely love this idea.

I’ve never had an all occasion suit. And I’d end up with a lot of dresses in my closet that I had bought for an occasion and then the style would change and I’d never wear it again. I can remember paying $150 or more for the dresses and feeling frustrated that I didn’t get much wear out of them. Your suit would have been so much smarter.

Oh no, I have heard other people have had that problem as well. I haven't done a 'proper' video in awhile. I've been doing live friday night videos. They are under live playlist. Coming up soon Proper video on sept 2 for project dress a girl. Thank you ❤
