@@debrabradley5005As did I! Watching this video was not only instructional, but I loved seeing her beautiful home, too! She’s absolutely delightful! I hope to see more of her.
I learned about the magic of wearing silk scarves from some ultra-chic French colleagues more than forty years ago when I was just beginning my career. I’ve loved wearing them ever since, “trending” or not. They are the simplest way to add elegance, femininity, color and pattern to outfits. They also add a lot of comfort and softness, especially under my winter wool or cashmere sweaters, which can make my sensitive neck skin get irritated. Most of my clothes are solid-colored dresses or separates and silk scarves are a great way to add a little interest and pattern. I wear mine in simple ways, I think the less they’re fussed with, the better they tend to look. Thanks so much for covering this topic, it’s a favorite!🙂
Dear Jaime Beck. Thank you for your most lovely video on your scarves and sharing artistic beauty. Very encouraging to those of us who still enjoy the classical timeless fashion treasures. Look forward to more. Gracia from California.
❤❤❤ I LOVED this video. She’s wonderful…. I love her imaginative names of the scarf ties, her style, her expressiveness, her personality… I want to see lots more of her…❤❤❤❤❤
What a lovely, creative, elegant lady you are! Thank you for slowing down to show us how the scarves are tied. It would also be helpful to see how you tie long scarves.
Thank you, very much appreciated! My poison is buying Hermes scarves every season. For me, it's like collecting paintings without the problem of storage. Hope there is a Part 2.
LOVE Jamie and this video! Would be interested to see working class women in your videos as well. You all feature many artistic women in untraditional roles, but would love to see how the Parisienne accountants, teachers, and generally regular women are wearing as well
Hilarious. Just went to France. Most French appear to be scraping by. They don't buy silk scarves. Their clothing was somewhat dated, 70's mostly. Life is hard in France, and everybody seemed to be pinching pennies. Other than in the most desirable neighborhoods in Paris or the Riviera, real estate prices are falling. Houses in the rural areas have little value. Retiring Brits are buying them. Americans have a distorted view of the Feench. Jobs are hard to come by. It was like this back in the 80s, too. Now it is worse. People can not afford heat.
@SandraLee-ix2qdI’m an American, thanks for sharing what it’s like there right now. It’s good to know what’s happening in European countries. Hope things improve somehow there.
I love the blue velvet sofa! I have velvet sofas too, they are so chic and look expensive, especially when in neutral colours. The velvet is warm and comforting against the skin too.
Beautiful presentation and so much to learn. Practical and more than a bit inspirational with that home in the background. Would love to see more like this!
Great video. She seems like a fun person and I like her style. I love to wear scarves in my hair because I grew up seeing my grandmother wearing them. For my wedding one of my grandma’s scarf was my something old which I wrapped around my bouquet.
Thank you for all the beauty shown in this episode! So many different and interesting ways to wear an elegant foulard... On a side note, I still remember your first video with Jamie where she invited you into her home - that one was lovely as well. 🙂 It would be wonderful to see more of your collaborations.🙂
Delightful and inspiring video. And so enjoyed her stories for each scarf and knot. Motivated me to pull out some of my scarves and follow her instructions. Reminded me of how elegant and interesting an accessory a scarf can be. Thank you.
"Motivated" is the right word. Nobody NEEDS to wear a scarf. It really helps that she explained how scarf tying can be nostalgic, romantic, adventurous...so much more than purely functional.
Charming presenter in beautiful surroundings, thank you. As a 58 years young woman, I find that too classic designs in can really age you, for example the typical Hermes equestrian scarf, pearls, gold buttons, they're just too ladylike for me, I prefer to have a modern classic look, that's not just classic and ladylike from head to toe. So when it comes to scarves, handbags, etc. I choose timeless pieces with a modern and fresh twist, that don't look dull or boring. For example a couple of years ago I bought a Gucci necktie in a vintage Mickey Mouse design that I absolutely love - nobody would mistake it for a souvenir scarf from Disneyland, it's chic in beautiful colours and goes with everything. At the time I debated whether to buy it or not (it was £200 and I'm on a budget) but I'm so glad I bought it as it sold out pretty quickly. I am an artist and draw a lot of animal-themed cartoons so the iconic Mickey vintage design really appealed to me and also reminds me of reading Disney comics growing up, those vintage Disney drawings are the best imo! A meaningful piece, whether it's a scarf or my suede jacket that reminds me of the one my Italian grandma wore in the 70s, is wonderful to have in your wardrobe.
I agree with someone who said you should write a book with photographic illustrations of scarf tying - along with details about which scarf dimensions work best etc. Also, please provide links to the clothing and jewelry designers you showcase, because the transcript has trouble understanding you and sometimes the names are hard to hear. All that said, your taste and your eye are fantastic - impeccable!
It's so beautiful and elegant! I have a few beautiful scarfs in my wardrobe but never know how to tie them. I will definitely use these ideas! Will start today :) Thanks a lot for this amazing and aesthetic video
Jamie actually wrote an incredible book called an American in Provence (and another one called flowers of Provence or something like that). It's basically her photography, but presented in the most beautiful way on the page. Her style is so rich and elegant, so for everyone intrigued by her style and life, those books are amazing.
I used to collect silk scarves too, yet somehow I always felt very overdressed wearing them. With Jamie Beck‘s elegance I feel even more intimidating, she has this natural beauty.
Thank you! I have an entire drawer of beautiful silk and woven scarves courtesy of my Thai foreign exchange sister and also my many travels. You’ve inspired me to wear them more often and to try them in different styles. PS. The sea green and periwinkle striped dress is positively stunning. Also, what kind of an underdress or long slip are you wearing with your yellow Indian dress? The combination of it and the dress are so flattering. French women always look so stylish, even when they are hanging out at home or going for a hike or camping. In the future would you please put the names of the scarves, jewelry and clothing and where you can find them in your video information? Finding your channel this evening was a serendipitous delight. Merci beaucoup!🙏🩷
My family's ancestors are from Provence, France! Please, more fashion - unfortunately I live in a town actually it's a state capitol where everybody runs around with pajamas and hoodies on a good day 😮 there's no class here what so ever, so I look forward to videos like yours and thank you so much for all your hard work and putting this together!
Such a great souvenir idea, a lovely neck scarf from every country you visit. Another idea is a piece of fabric that wouldn’t be available in your area, to have tailored into something nice.
When I was in my 30s I had a flower delivery route. In the winter I was gifted many different cotton neckerchiefs that I wore to keep me warm. I was kind of poor in those days, but now I wear silk against my neck and I enjoy it.
I love scarves. They truly make an outfit. Mine all have a history, story to tell, too. It's heatwave conditions here in Australia but I've just been having fun with your French sailor knot. That's a new way to tie a scarf for me.
Your scarfs are beautiful…..I get mine at thrift stores. Sometimes I get lucky and they look expensive. I think I have one from the Rhode Island School of Design. I love wearing hats and scarfs. Also, your dresses are perfect.
I have gotten some nice scarves at thrift shops, too. I have a beautiful silk Cartier scarf and a Dior scarf that I purchased for $1 each in Boston years ago. My mother was “ a scarf person” and I followed in her footsteps.
Hi Jamie, I really enjoyed this video tutorial, thank you! I followed along with my own silk scarf but discovered mine (70cm square) was not quite large enough to manage some of these scarf creations. It would be so helpful to include the size of the scarves you are using in each demonstration as a reference. Thank you and wishing you a happy new year.
I now have 3 vintage pre owned silk scarves made in Paris. I have French family near the Belgian border, I’ve been able to stay there for extended visits, learning to shop and cook there. I could spend days in The Lovre though! Lovely scarves and nice ways to tie them. Could you do the ascot next time you talk about scarves?
This woman is the epitome of elegance and class. What a charming person to feature in this video. I admire her style and strong sense of self.
I thought so too!
@@debrabradley5005As did I! Watching this video was not only instructional, but I loved seeing her beautiful home, too! She’s absolutely delightful! I hope to see more of her.
Jamie is such a wonderfully talented photographer and a great person to follow online.
Jamie needs her own channel so we can watch her every day!
Yeeeees!!!
This lady is by far my favorite of all your guests. Even her voice is beautiful.

This was one of my favourite PV videos
So happy to hear!!
It's sunshine on your neck! It's lipstick for your neck! Love these scarf mottos!
I love her imaginative names of the scarf ties, her style, her expressiveness, her personality… I want to see lots more of her…❤❤❤❤❤
she seems very unique, happy and true to herself
What a lovely, creative, elegant lady you are! Thank you for slowing down to show us how the scarves are tied. It would also be helpful to see how you tie long scarves.

A true talent

Thank you for watching🙌. Unfortunately, not everyone is always comfortable sharing on camera.
It would be fascinating to see how working-class women express their style and creativity in everyday roles.

The same exactly way !
@SandraLee-ix2qdI’m an American, thanks for sharing what it’s like there right now. It’s good to know what’s happening in European countries. Hope things improve somehow there.
She is elegant and lovely! And as an American you can hear the French accent in her speech. 🥰 so chic.
Wonderful video!!! The scenery and furnishings were scrumptious, beautiful lady and scarves👍👍🌸
Delicate and charming. This video inspires and relaxes. Lovely for the eyes and mind.
Lovely for the soul, too. ❤ This was like a mini-retreat from my everyday life in the US. I hope to see more lime this.
I love the blue velvet sofa! I have velvet sofas too, they are so chic and look expensive, especially when in neutral colours. The velvet is warm and comforting against the skin too.
Love scarves but I tend to always wear them the same ways. This gave me some great ideas. Thank you so much.
Fabulous scarves and helpful tips. I love your style! Like from another era, but so classy! Many thanks!
Loved the aesthetics of this video!
Beautiful presentation and so much to learn. Practical and more than a bit inspirational with that home in the background. Would love to see more like this!
Perfection. Thanks. I always feel like a flight attendant when I wear a scarf, but now I’m going to think of you. Thanks.
I once had a fellow passenger ask me for a drink on a plane. I was wearing a scarf and he mistook me for a flight attendant, lol. 😂
I would love for you to publish a book on your beautiful scarf styling, it is an art! Love everything about your post !!!
This video was so beautiful and elegant 🤍

Thank you for sharing the different ways to wear scraves ❤ Your essence is beautiful.
such a beautiful spirit, I’d love to see more of her on this channel!!
Such a beautiful video!
What beautiful scarves you own! Thank you for sharing your stories.
Cool to hear that they were/can be used as impromptu tourniquet - makes sense. A sports item!
Have watched this video multiple times and will apply her techniques. Thank you, Jamie Beck!
Love the house, love the outfit, love your scarves.
What a lovely way to show us how to tie scarves. I’ve been looking for how now that I’ve my first scarf. Thank you

Hermoso reportaje, hermoso escenario, hermosa mujer y hermosos pañuelos. Gracias por que los uso habitualmente.

They truly make an outfit.
Mine all have a history, story to tell, too.
It's heatwave conditions here in Australia but I've just been having fun with your French sailor knot. That's a new way to tie a scarf for me.
What size scarf do you use? Great scarf tips
You have inspired me to add scarves to my attire. You’re charming and beautiful. Thank you!
Hermes Is Always The Best Scarf ❤
Love the styling with the beautiful ring. At the same time, I was worried that the ring might slip off. How could you secure the ring to the scarf? ❤
She said it was a wool or cotton scarf, not silk, which is slippery. She also said she could feel it.
You could put a hairtie below it and so it’s hidden.
Inspiring. Thank You so much!
Thank you for this video; loved it!
Jamie Beck, pls do a video on how you create your painting-like still life photos. They’re amazing and you have a gift!
The Same H-white carriage scarf I have🌟 I’ve put it on my bed like I’m snapping on a carriage 🐎🐎 I 💖 this video. Gorgeous and you🫶
What a beautiful woman. She oozes elegance…. I love her style. Merci

“Having chateau problems” 😂😂😂 such a great, useful video! Thanks for sharing
They look wonderful on you! I cannot wear them around my neck because I am very claustrophobic and it bothers me. How about some head scarf samples?
My sister feels the same! Have you tried tying them as little capes or kimonos?
Bu güzel evi ve paylaştıklarınızı zevkle izledim teşekkürler 🎉🎉🎉
That was beautiful ❤ Greetings from San Francisco 🎉 THANK YOU!
Long scarves in wool, silk, cotton sequinned and everything in between can be very useful to elongate a petite frame and also hide a tummy
Elegancia y Clase !!!!
