I really appreciate how open-minded Tom is. He is clearly trying to educate himself. He was also very comforting to other house members. Seems like a nice guy. He came into it not knowing much about gender or sexuality and probably learned more about it in six hours than he had in his entire life. And he actually to learn. Screw everyone who spread stuff around about him. It is not your story to tell, so keep it to yourself.
@Wake No. honestly there's a lot more wrong with the girl and her views on trans people than him wanting to keep his trans identity to himself until he's ready to disclose it. a lot of trans people don't disclose the fact that they're trans in the beginning of dating someone because when people find out they might not want to date them altogether simply because they're trans. saying that he should've told her that he's trans before they kissed implies that he's not really a man and that him being trans means that she's not straight. it also implies that if you don't tell someone you're trans that you're a liar or trying to trick the person which is not the case.
Oh wow... trans people outing other trans people? Clearly, Romario felt comfortable taking off his shirt and going swimming with the people he was there with, but then they go stand in a circle talking about him behind his back wondering if he's trans? Meanwhile, when they get back to the house it's talked about with others who weren't there? It's that exactly what you don't do to another trans person because you know how bad that sucks when it happens to you? If anything, you'd think another trans person would be like: "whatever," and move on with their day lmao. It sets a very bad example to cis people educating themselves watching this. "I feel like I've been cheated" Excuse me? NO ONE is obligated to tell you their medical history. NO ONE. And why the hell would you feel cheated? Is he any less of a man now? Just because YOU are open about your identity doesn't mean everyone else has to be. Good Lord, this pisses me off so fucking much.

Tom is a national treasure!!! How he just asks questions, he is there for anyone who cries. He might not understand but he just sees everyone as human and deserving of care and love
tom is like a perfect example of how to be supportive even if you might not understand. he asks respectful questions and when people are feeling self contious he comforta them. amazing :D
Ramario came on a documentary about genders, took his shirt off that shows his scars, gets intimate with someone who knows would have an issue with it, and he's the victim? If you are trans and don't tell the person you are seeing that you are, that's fucked up.
I love how the vast majority of them are LGBT, and than when they realize the trans guy is trans, instead of being normal about it, and not doing anything...because why would you...? He's just trans. They all act like its a huge hidden secrete that they need to talk about behind his back, and make a big deal of. Its not any of their business, weather he is or not, if he's not comfortable expressing that to them.
I completely agree, but this is also an experiment with LGBTQ+ in center of attention and main subject matter. I understand why they would be shocked based on the fact that he said nothing before when they all opened up. (I do, on the other hand, completely understand and respect his decision and nobody should be outed)
Lol....philomena🤣🤣🤣 transphobic but falling for a trans man. But yeah, I wonder why they made such a huge deal of it? If he is passing male? Or presenting only male why are they acting like it's some huge secret?
It is a show about gender identity/sexual orientation. They all opened up and talked about things that make them uncomfortable and so on. But he lied to everyone saying he is a cis man, that's why they're talking about it, because he lied, when the whole point of this show is to talk about this.
Really sad to see Markus outing Romario, very unnecessary and very cruel. Romario is right, it is his choice to disclose information when he wants. Otherwise, great series. Glad to see Tom changing and becoming more open minded. Looking forward to next episode.
Markus is so ignorant about the rest of the community! He's the kind of people within the community that say "ace people are not LGBT+" or "nON biNaRy iS a hYPe"!!
and then he had the gall to say "ive done nothing" and the romario had just gotten violent towards him out of nowhere when all he did was shout at Marcus to stay away from him.
I hate how he was outed behind his back, and then Markus outed him to his girlfriend and he feels like the victim. Does Markus even understand how dangerous outing someone is!?
Why no one is talking about how supportive and open minded is Tom towards lgbt community ? Especially the way he comforted Saffron...He's a wonderful soul👌👌
"Romario are you gonna talk to me?" Saffron: "not now" "let him speak for himself"... HOW DARE YOU!? YOU stole his voice! You stole his choice to keep his life for himself. YOU are the one who didn't let him speak for himself. You are so oppressive
people are bringing up the fact that he is trans because they're talking about how he shouldn't have been outed like he was. you sure you finished reading those comments? honest and genuine question
@@mindoongie I don't quite remember this comment well, it's been over a year, but I think I wasn't talking about the comments but about the people in the video? Not sure tho, sorry
"It shouldn't have mattered." Exactly. They didn't have the right to out him like that and gossip about it to everyone. He probably arrived at the house feeling like he's in a safe space but got disappointed big time. So sorry for him. "When can I just be a guy." hit me. Much love to him. 💙
Yeah, it was really none of his business. That was between both of them... Besides, its not like they were saving themselves for marriage and Marion was tricking her or something, she can still back out if shes just not into that which is fine. Its sad that they didn't give him the benefit of the doubt and instead assumed that they never had that conversation in private. Also, I don't think it was the blonde girls place to go around telling people either.. shes literally outing Marion behind his back to a bunch of strangers. Why? Marion didn't deserve to treated like that. I guess I wonder that if I was romantically interested in a trans-man without knowing he was trans and it was getting more serious - like about to be intimate, date, etc - I'd want to know that he was trans. Its worrisome if they never had that conversationn too; I have read about trans people not saying anything about it and then getting attacked. Its scary. Idk I hope its not offensive to say that because trans men are men. I'm not trying to be rude or anything so I'm open to hear others opinions, especially from those that are trans. My question is, should trans people discolse it to their partner and if I suspet someone I love did not, is it on me to say something? Who should I talk about it to first? What if its not a loved one but just a stranger? Would I be messed up to let it play out? Would you hurt someone by outing them or you hurt someone for NOT outing them? As a woman, its not uncommon to get attacked for saying no so I'm careful when rejecting someone. I wish I didnt have to treat men like theyre babies but I'd just want to protect myself first.
When Romario said that knowing about him being trans is a privilege, not an entitlement, I just thought, wow, damn, straight to the point. Has nothing to do with "trust" and "honesty". It's private.
A person once told me this “ But why do you need a label for all this stuff? You should just be able to love who you love and be who you are” I flipping live by that quote
So it turns out the most rigid & transphobic one there is the white gay guy, Marcus. How on earth can he possibly think it's ok to confront someone about their trans identity like that! It's no one's business. In the clip for the next episode he actually has the nerve to demand an apology from Romario. Yeesh.
Hypocrisy within the LGBTQRST....etc. community. I am a lesbian and get so turned off by some of their contradictions: respect me and I´ll think about respecting you is how I see them.
Ramario is so amazing and strong, and it was never anyone elses business to talk about him. My heart totally goes out to him. That can be so harmful for someone else to talk about someone. Ramario is so sweet.
Loved how at the beach the girls said they weren't going to say anything and let Romario open up when he is ready. Yet, then they all went and outted him to everyone in the house one by one. How cruel.
This just shows that there's still so much prejudice within the LGBT+ community. Markus being a gay man should know better to out someone, he should have respect for Romario. I also don't understand how you could have a connection with someone like Filomena had with Romario, and throw it all away because he was born a girl.
I came out when I was younger and then was immediately faced with boatloads of judgement from inside the LGBTQ+ community so I pretended it was a phase. I am older now, and am revoking out because now I can better control who I want to be friends with.
@@hippodisco1687 If you don't mind me asking, what did you come out as? (I know there are certain groups more ostracized than others, and I'm just curious. Don’t answer if you don't feel comfortable, though.)

As a cis woman with fertility issues, I totally felt Campbell’s heartbreak. And Filomena was way out of line. She not only hurt the trans and NB community, she hurt and invalidated my identity and added more shame to a painful situation. She needs to understand that her views are hurtful all around.
Right or wrong She is actually entitled to her own views and not yours or anyone else's. I'm telling you that as a lesbian woman. People have the right to have their own thoughts and their own beliefs and their own opinions about anything including this issue. People have the right to remain ignorant if they choose to. It's not your place or anyone else's to fix people or "enlighten" anyone.
She said vagina and utérus... The fact that your utérus dont work has nothing to do with that, your still a woman... I swear this days baSic biologie is needed
@@zaudyfelixochoa7688 Yeah, well basic biology didn't teach the fact that someone could be born with an xxy chromosome, and yet she exists in this video. Key word: Basic. Not advanced. Advanced Biology proves you wrong. And, come on, if you're gonna argue, at least spell "you're" correctly. It's "basic" English grammar. Or if you're gonna argue about biology, don't spell it like "biologie". I mean, you misspelled the very thing you're arguing. I say this as someone who graduated with a diploma and actually took basic biology. And English. And Creative Writing. And Environmental science. And watch videos of professors discussing the human body and it's chromosomes and brain. I've heard from cisgender scientists themselves proving the validity of trans people. Also, basic biology didn't teach me about intersex, but I learned they exist. Almost as rare as red hair(and yet red hair is treated as normal and valid). And there's probably over 28+ variations of intersex. Doctors also perform genital corrective surgery on intersex infants to fit into this false binary sex model that society seems so desperate to enforce. Then, intersex people grow up unaware of the surgery that was performed without their consent. Or, people born a boy and suddenly their body changes into a girl. You just don't wanna listen to the facts because you don't like or support it. And, wow, you're really reducing women down to their biology? It's almost as if cisgender toxic men do the same thing to cisgender women? What a hypocrite. Brain scans were done on cisgender women and transgender women, and then the brain scans were compared. Turns out, transgender women's brains looked way more like cisgender women's brains than cis men's brains. But, you wouldn't know that because you're still stuck on "bAsiC bIoLoGy." Oh, and I also happen to be autistic. And one of my autistic traits is obsession, and I am obsessed with the human brain and body and biology. So, I learn everything I can about human biology and variation. You wouldn't be able to look at me and tell that I was autistic. It's because autism isn't physical, it's mental. It can't be cured. Gender identity exists in the brain. Everyone has it. Even transphobes. You couldn't tell by looking at me that I was non-binary. I'm a non-binary male. I also just learned that I have a 0.7% higher estrogen level than typical males. I don't know what caused it... I'll find out soon enough from my physician. I admitted to my biological reality... you didn't expect that, right? Well, duh, we know we'll never be able to change our sex chromosomes(at least with current technology). However, our brain is a biological organ, so to deny my gender identity is to deny biological reality. I'm a non-binary male. So, you really can't use the "Biological reality" argument against me. Also, random fact: Red was considered to be a masculine color and men wore red, but boys weren't men yet so they wore pink, a lighter shade of red. Girls wore blue because blue was considered dainty and feminine. Nowadays, it's the complete opposite. Maybe if you spent less time on that basic biology, you'd learn something for once. And, as an autistic person, I say: Go touch some grass.
Girl, if you think a random person on a tv show can invalidate your identity, maybe you should work a little on yourself. Nobody is responsible for your feelings but you.
Marcus made this about him when it is way bigger than him. How do you expose someone knowing how hard and cruel society is. It was horrible way to address the issue and took the whole premise of the show 10 steps back. The very mind blocks we need to break are being perpetuated by someone who should know better. Let Romario define his truth when he is ready. It's clearly hard for him, why make it harder.
I agree. Ive tried many times to have a child and when I found out I wasn't able to, it didn't rly bother me because I knew I more than likely didn't want a child. There are people DYING to have children, I just feel I take me (and my body parts) for granted. 😔
Mari Skarstein Going through all that pain and suffering than giving up what you struggled for isnt for everyone. Only a very select few people can every be that patient and unattached.
I didn't like how those three instantly just flocked together to gossip about him when they noticed his top surgery. Like, could they have been any more obvious and rude?
At first I was thinking that I have no idea who is what, I'm 60 years old. Then I realized that they don't even know what they are, so how am I going to know? To each their own, and I hope their lives turn out the way they want. Good luck to all of them.
For me it is so weird that people that saw the scars of Romario talked about it with others!! Especially because they probably had been in similar position and it must be hard
It wasn't a rumor. It was the truth. They are filming a documentary about gender ffs. And Romario knew Filomena likes cismen. Markus did nothing wrong here. If you are seeing someone you have an obligation to tell them they are trans. If Romario wasn't then I'd see your point and agree. But that wasn't the case. He was being deceptive by not telling her.
@@amber-dn5jk yall acting like its that guys fault but its the girls fault for spreading it after they agreed to keep it secret and let romario say it himself..
It is sad that some people are so closed minded when it goes to gender and LGBTQ+ people. It was nice to see how much Tom was able to ask questions and accept the others in the house for who they are. However, Marcus and Campbell should have respected Romarios privacy... Once a person has transitioned it is their choice whether they will choose to identify as trans.
Damn I really thought this came out 5months ago meanwhile its been out for like 2 years. I didn't understand trans, gender fluid or non-binary people before. Honestly loved this!!
As a trans girl in high school some of the people who claim to be all inclusive in this docu are the very people i would go out of my way to avoid. Seeing them out someone as trans gave me literal flashbacks of when i was in school and someone went around spreading my business. Its a horrible feeling and I absolutely HATE that they did that to the guy who happens to be trans (i cant recall his name) He’ll come out to u WHEN and IF hes ready. Dont out ANYONE b4 they’re ready!
Exactly! Hope you are in a better environment now. I totally wouldve lost my shit if somebody would have found out I was trans that way. Congrats for staying strong!
That guy who literally snitched in Romario, wtf? This is Romarios journey, and he seems a bit traumatized by his past. And from what I can tell from FTM transitioners, it is actually really hard dating coming from such a background, several FTM stories that I have heard alludes to the fact that females have a harder time being attracted to you when they find out you’ve been female than the other way around. Both positions are very difficult, but I think they might need different approaches and i definitely think Romario has a right to take his love life in the pace and pacing that he wants. What he is or isn’t ready for shouldn’t be dictated by another, even if that person feels like he is deceiving. If he is planning to come out with the truth to this girl eventually and he was, then it is his right to decide when. She should just look at him as a person and nothing else.
I agree that made me so mad but I’d say it is just as hard for trans women when it comes to dating man. A lot of straight men feel gay if they date a trans woman.

I agree I was brought up in a strict religion to believe one thing but when I got older I started to have my own beliefs and opinions. You don’t have stay the way you were raised.
No but you were brought up on being tolerant and to accept all religions. They weren’t brought up being tolerant and accepting of others people choices regarding sexual orientation and gender choice. That’s the difference. Back in the days people were more stern about their opinions. People nowadays are brought up being overall more tolerant.

@Mina Guobadia lol i haven’t had a period since i was 16 and i’m almost 21 because of my birth control so have i just been not gendered this whole time 😂
Marcus is a mean person. He outed someone and then kept saying "don't get aggressive, don't get aggressive." when they got upset about it. When everyone else entered the situation, he pretended like he was the victim. The other transgender people didn't take it as far as he did, but shame on them as well for gossiping about something one would think they would be able to empathize with.
I will never understand how someone can say they don't understand trans and have never been exposed to it. Yet be so sure that they know for certain that they know what trans people are dealing with.
Hearing Saffron talk about how they feel about themselves really touched me. Like on the one hand I can relate to their feelings so much but on the other hand I just want to tell them how gorgeous and lovable they seem to me. Like of course you'll find someone who'll love you!
The whole gossiping and outing a person as something that they clearly didn‘t say they were made me want to punch several people in the face. Meanwhile the cis-dude whom I worried about in the beginning turns out to be super respectful and open... People can be so cool if they just take their ego back a bit.
True, however she won't bcuz she's too busy freaking out about her gender bcuz she kissed a trans man. What a same! Why do you think the LGBTQ motto is "LOVE IS LOVE"?
Dude that lesbian I can tell is the one that makes straight girls fall in love, and then breaks their heart, and the straight guy is literally is in love with Campbell u can see it in his eyes.
lol, straight girls don't fall in love with lesbians anymore than straight men fall in love with gay men. Also, I doubt that Tim could have fallen for Campbell after, what, like a day of knowing her? Probably you're seeing curiousity.
@DarthYuYevon so what are gay men who insist that they can turn out straight men? men's right activists? lol. not every stupid thing women say comes from feminism. now if you want to blame TERFs' brand of feminism for the stupid shit they say all the time, I can't argue.
I can’t believe a white cis male have decided to a black trans man he knows what's best for him. THE SUBJECT IS NOT YOURS TO TELL! That's lack of empathy, it's not about you miss thing. I’m disgusted
My question is why everyone started talking about Romario behind his back. When they were at the beach they even said "let's not bring it up, this is his decision to talk to us about it when he wants to" and then they took that away from him by telling everyone behind his back. You can't just out someone like that behind their back, especially since you don't know who you're talking to. You could be talking to someone like Marcus who thinks they have all the authority to share someone else's private information even after that person has expressed discomfort about that idea. And the fact that Marcus was using that he thinks honesty is the best policy as an excuse is even more horrible because not everyone thinks that way and everyone who withholds information like that has their reasons and has their personal reasons. Marcus and the lesbian (I forgot her name sorry) should both know that it's not ok to out someone like that given that they are also LGBT
I don't care how much of a godsend you think you are to humanity, you don't out someone. Thats literally just LGBTQ culture 101. It's also a safety thing? God, this makes me so angry. I'm so sorry Romario
I hated the way they were gossiping about romarios body and finding out he was trans. If he didn’t come out right away about it respect that!!! Where is the compassion?
They obviously had ONLY Ramario go into the water for a reason. It was definitely written into the “reality” show! He kind of did announce it by going into the sea shirtless😑
Wth Marcus outing Romario on his birthday to someone he possibly cares abt?! And expecting him to apologise for reacting as how one would if outed without consent
ah I find it so hard to see some people not understanding/respecting trans people.. trans women are women and trans men are men. they should never have to explain what makes them what they are
@Eric Gregory bro, some trans people are very sensitive to those things, they shouldnt have to respond to a question they don't want to or that makes them uncomfortable. You should first ask them if they wanna talk about it. It's like asking someone who beat cancer how it was like, I'm sure many would like to tell you their experience, but there are some who just don't wanna speak about it
@Eric Gregory ok bro, I'm just saying that they shouldnt be forced to speak about things they don't wanna speak about. It's nobody's business except theirs, as long as you respect that it's fine. Also idk about the 90s because I was born in 2005, but at least I'm glad that my generation is more accepting even if we have thinner skin (and I'm not talking about 3rd wave extremeist feminism cuz that is just kinda bad and doesn't really help anyone)
43:00 broke my heart. It is NEVER okay to out someone. Sure, you can disagree with how people lead their lives, but if no one is being hurt, there is no problem and you have no right to speak.
These people are so good looking! But tbh this was very insightful. I wish it was easier to bring up but only because most people would rather die than hurt someone's feelings. Nobody knows your story or gets to tell it. My goal is to be as authentic as I can be and see everyone has a human first and foremost. We're all much deeper than gender alone. And consenting adults dont owe anyone anything. I'm open to learning and growing always but also seeing how we're all the same before how we're different. If someone wants to share, I aspire to let them safely. If they dont, I want them left alone safely. Happy pride to all!

He is precious!!!!
I´m so sorry for Ramario. He should have been able to come out in his own way. How can anyone be so disrespectful?
Him being outed was wack
It's also disrespectful to be intimite with someone without telling them you're trans. And he was(slept with Filo - maybe more).
I don’t think it’s fair though to straight people who like straight people, to be tricked into dating trans people.
Ramario came on a documentary about genders, took his shirt off that shows his scars, gets intimate with someone who knows would have an issue with it, and he's the victim? If you are trans and don't tell the person you are seeing that you are, that's fucked up.
@@Mycenaea Exactly!!
Absolutely! Why is it so uncommon for people in LGBTQ+ to understand that other trans peopl have totally different storys and feelings?!?
Lol....philomena🤣🤣🤣 transphobic but falling for a trans man. But yeah, I wonder why they made such a huge deal of it? If he is passing male? Or presenting only male why are they acting like it's some huge secret?
@Crusty Caleb yeah, but thats his business. They shouldn't have talked about it behind his back and Marcus had no right to out him like that.
I feel like the others gossiping about it is not much better either.
I think Tom was open-minded from the start, he just got less ignorant on the topic
His justification is incredibly narcissistic
I hate how he was outed behind his back, and then Markus outed him to his girlfriend and he feels like the victim. Does Markus even understand how dangerous outing someone is!?
Why no one is talking about how supportive and open minded is Tom towards lgbt community ? Especially the way he comforted Saffron...He's a wonderful soul👌👌
"Romario are you gonna talk to me?"
Saffron: "not now"
"let him speak for himself"... HOW DARE YOU!? YOU stole his voice! You stole his choice to keep his life for himself. YOU are the one who didn't let him speak for himself. You are so oppressive
I think Romario didn’t want to talk to him so saffron was helping. I think but we don’t really know
That whole scene was scripted. All reality tv is scripted a decent amount and that whole hiding his identity was part of it.
Funny how everyone is like "it's none of our business" but still talks to everyone about him being trans...
At least the majority of them said that it should happen on its own and they shouldn’t say anything..unlike Markus
people are bringing up the fact that he is trans because they're talking about how he shouldn't have been outed like he was. you sure you finished reading those comments? honest and genuine question

"When can I just be a guy." hit me. Much love to him. 💙
same :*( poor romario!
Yeesh.
Marcus is so far out of order, it's crazy. He needs to mind his own damn business.
The transphobia within the community is bad. Especially from the "cookie cutter cis gay men"
And I think they tried to reason it out by giving him the cheating back story.
Not at all surprised tbh
Also when he says he's not confronting him, while he actually IS confronting him and forcing him to answer "honestly" Wtf mate...

Sex. That's basically why.
I came out when I was younger and then was immediately faced with boatloads of judgement from inside the LGBTQ+ community so I pretended it was a phase. I am older now, and am revoking out because now I can better control who I want to be friends with.

The audacity of Marcus calling Romario rude for OUTING HIM on HIS BIRTHDAY when rightfully upset just blows my mind.

Marcus and the lesbian (I forgot her name sorry) should both know that it's not ok to out someone like that given that they are also LGBT

ah I find it so hard to see some people not understanding/respecting trans people.. trans women are women and trans men are men. they should never have to explain what makes them what they are
@Eric Gregory bro, some trans people are very sensitive to those things, they shouldnt have to respond to a question they don't want to or that makes them uncomfortable.
Also idk about the 90s because I was born in 2005, but at least I'm glad that my generation is more accepting even if we have thinner skin (and I'm not talking about 3rd wave extremeist feminism cuz that is just kinda bad and doesn't really help anyone)

marcus was unnecessarily messy wtf
Marcus is so disappointing. You dont do that. I understand your concern for Filomena, but then approach Romario about it, it should come from him.
Romario deserves better.
Where is ep 2?
43:00 broke my heart. It is NEVER okay to out someone. Sure, you can disagree with how people lead their lives, but if no one is being hurt, there is no problem and you have no right to speak.
Why did he out that poor man? That wasn't his right!
Cause they all had surgery. if they wouldn’t be good looking they should ask for their money back
