facts not dogma If you are gay or know someone who is, this is important information! Sexual orientation is determined in the womb during fetus development. Various hormones are introduced at specific times to accomplish this .The fetus plays no part in this process. A person is, therefore, born with a predetermined attraction. It is, therefore, not a choice & consequently not a sin & not immoral. It is a natural expression of mammals & found commonplace in nature. Intelligent research in this area clearly explains this process. If you are truly interested in truth, based on knowledge, the book Gay, Straight & the Reason Why by Dr. Simon Levay shows this with numerous research articles. If you want to understand the truth & have respect for yourself & others this book will help. It also has, unlike the bible written over 2000 years by men that had no understanding of science, an extensive bibliography. I strongly recommend the book. Don’t let the religious pull you down to their level of ignorance. Peace

Hearing those stories and seeing the pictures from pre-stonewall was so meaningful?? like, all I've ever heard about were the raids and violence and then to see this where lgbtq people were living almost out in the open. Learning about them walking up the street and living together made me tear up cause I wish we were taught the good parts of our history too. Our history is not all tragedy, there's so much love and life there

What do you think a community means? It is what was between the arrests, beatings, riots ... If you haven´t seen it maybe it's because you didn´t want to pay attention before. Anyway, they protected each other against the police and homophobic citizens. Don´t idealize it, some of them lived out in the open, yes, specifically in parks at the age of 12, so I would say that love arose from the tragedy.

im sorry to say this, but its never going to be finished. The logic behind intersectionality is to actually pit people against other people to divide the masses and keep us distracted. There is an evil program to lower the age of consent to 16 yrs, or sometimes younger. People really need to take another looks at trans, and being trans. IMO there are very, very rare cases where surgery is needed. Gender dysphoria is real as well, but it is obviously leaves as time goes on and people change. Look at how many people that are in transition right now. There were not so many people scared to tell people, there are of course some, but the numbers don't back up the 5000 percent increase in trans surgeris

I'm heterosexual and I heard about Stonewall since I was around 13. I'm 28 years old. I think going to the same school as Sir Ian McKellen (Bolton School) was part of why I heard about Stonewall early on in my life.

honestly you guys I think we need to talk about this situation more often! it's such a wonderful thing that happened and I'm so happy that people had the courage to speak up for all of those who were afraid! And I think we need to continue to do so for all of the people that cant nowadays! ❤

“We’re here! We’re queer! GET USED TO IT!”, was our Pride March chant back when I was involved in the late 80s. We still have a-ways to go...FORWARD!! Keep up the pressure but try to keep it peaceful and clean so we can continue to be perfect examples for the generations that come AFTER us. HAPPY PRIDE!!

Thank you for this, NYC’s LGBT Community Center! It brought back such bitter/sweet memories. I attended my first Gay Liberation Parade in Hollywood, CA in 1970. That was the first time I did anything gay publicly. I was 18 at the time and it was WONDERFUL! I've been out ever since and fully support all the work that is still being done for the LGBT community. Stay proud! Stay strong! - With much love from an old queen in La La Land.

I really can't understand why people have hate for other people weather it's gender, sexuality, race, religion, the shape of someone's body & whatever other reasons people find to hate & put people down... none of those things make a good or a bad person. I hate that anyone has to or has had to suffer due to being different. Our differences is what makes us beautiful.
