  • Who knew a simple toe yoga exercise would end up putting my foot through the wall! I can honestly say it wasn't because I'm pedi-powerful - somehow water infiltrated the foundation and compromised that part of the wall... it was just pure coincidence that I happened to rest my foot on the exact part of the wall that was ready to give way.
In this video we show how to fit a new piece of sheetrock into that hole and get it ready for spackling and painting - and how you can "adjust" the thickness of your replacement piece if it's thicker than the original sheetrock used to build your wall.
We end this video with the wall being ready for spackling - only because we took a break in recording for a little bit of R&R. When we returned, we found new areas of the wall compromised - which means a bigger problem for us to tackle that means removing much more if not most of that particular part of the wall.
Thus we leave the ending up to you - if you'd like us to spackle that new piece, we will. Otherwise, stay tuned for a much bigger wall removal & foundation issue DIY fix when the nice weather returns.
