All you have to do is look at her Tour dates. She’s playing Lightning Ridge mate. A life on the road playing a lot of small country towns where the profit margin is not going to be that big. She travels, writes and plays because she loves doing it and with the family is top shelf.
FYI it’s available on Spotify which means Eminem has heard it and given permission for it to go up. Great lyrics, great cover. It’s a new beast from the original and it’s awesome to see the original creator acknowledge that.

"...and I was playing in the the beginning. And the mood all changed" - The mood does change and she brings the anger and pain. The way the first 2 verses leads to that line it what helps set it up.
She sang this like she's lived it, which in some ways she probably has. Dad Bill is on the slide guitar.
Em's writing is on full display here, you can NOT do something like this to a song if if it's not well written, and for her to sing using close to the original cadence sets it off nicely.
Something I didn't mention in my pitch but will mention here... 90% of reactions I've seen of this the reactor claps their hands at some stage during it. You didn't let me down 😂.
To me this sits up there with the greatest covers where someone has made a song their own like Johnny Cash and Hurt.

It’s a special YT moment. They don’t come along often. Those “Ghost Love Score” moments that catch you off guard. She’s normally country. My wife has all her albums. I’m not into it. However she hit this out of the park and the artistry of how it’s performed and sung is just magic. Like someone pointed out to actually sing a rap spoken lyric takes a lot of breath technique. It’s also a measure of a reaction skill to be on top of your game and spot the greatness. Some have failed the test. You are on point.👌

So good the world is FINALLY getting to hear our princess Kasey after all these years thanks to everyone being curious how any female could ever do justice to covering Eminem, let alone a supposed Country artist... and I say supposed, as I am a full on Slayer/Pantera/Jinjer fan who got dragged kicking and screaming to a Kasey Chambers gig back in 2003 and have never headbanged as much at a show as that gig! We have adored her in Oz for the last 25yrs despite every major record label and radio station completely ignoring her, despite constant sell out concerts for decades in every Aussie city and county town... she is the people's princess, and we protect our Kasey fiercely and love her unconditionally, just as we ALWAYS have...glad you liked it man, def check her original songwriting for an even bigger surprise!

I can't believe I'm hearing this song for the first time a whole year after Kasey slayed it at this concert. Mr. Mathers must be feeling like Paul Simon did after hearing David Draimans version of "Sound of Silence"....but more so. I'm not a country kind of person, but I love talent when I hear it. That's why I like and respect artists like Johnny Cash, Willy Nelson and others that are placed in the huge pigeon hole of "country". I love this, from Kasey's delivery, to the insane "in the zone" pocket the band's in. They nailed it! Oh yeah. That's Kasey's Dad Bill on slide. 🇭🇲👍

    From Kasey's video description
The video for ‘Lose Yourself’ is thanks to Kasey’s fans in the audience on the final show of her recent Behind The Barricades tour. After much demand from fans to release the live performance and noting so many cameras in the air, Kasey asked fans to send through any footage they had filmed. The result is a perfect time capsule of how a great song, performed authentically from the heart can bring a room of strangers to connect in such a powerful shared emotion.

BTW, yes, Aussie pronunciation can be a bit of a trap, especially since we don't always agree on what it should be. The Nullarbor Plain is an almost featurless, flat area on the southern edge of Australia (think 1,200 km of almost dessert with a real desert to the north and the ocean to the south) and is usually pronounced 'null-a-bore'. As is normal in Aus, no gaps or breaths, pronounce as a single syllable.

She just told it and phrased it perfectly.
    And the band rocked it.
As an Aussie seen her a few times, but before she did this.

G'day mate. Kasey is incredible in this song. I have a great Australian band that I believe you will enjoy hearing. The band is called Cold Chisel the song is Wild Thing, live the last stand. The lead singer Jimmy Barnes has an incredible and unique voice.

I second that ...Cold Chisel goes even harder and better than other Aussie Rock bands like ACDC or INXS

You nailed that critique, what writing Eminem did on that and Kasey actually showcases it masterfully. She knocked that song out of the park, the OG song is in my playlist and so is this version now.

I see I’m not the only one who cry’s while listening to a song! I’m not an overly emotional person so I can’t figure out why some songs do that to me.

Thank you to COB for requesting, and thank you WolfKain for sharing around the world.
Kasey and her band did something extraordinary here. Kasey is very real and down to earth, but in this song she shows she Ain't No Little Girl, (the title of one of her own songs)
Recorded in my home town of Newcastle, two hours north of Sydney. The Civic Theatre is a stunning heritage listed building and the Grand Old Dame is the PERFECT setting for such a dramatic performance.
    G'day from Australia.

I was not a country music fan when I heard Kasey's first hit single, which prompted me to check out her solo debut album by the same name: The Captain. She became the first country artist of which I was a fan. Some of her songs lean more toward folk and pop music IMO than country-western. I've not heard her do anything like this though.

After watching many reactions to this incredible song, I've returned to this one to say how much I loved your video. I saw one guy who had to stop the recording because he was about to cry and came back on as if nothing happened, but you just let the tears roll out, brother. I admire your openness and appreciate you sharing this off-the-chain emotional rollercoaster with us.
PS. Don't worry; it got me too.
