I was at the Women in Music Awards Brisbane Oct 2nd 2024 .Casey Chambers Ripped the Roof off . The entire Music Hall was standing,screaming,crying ,Casey owned this song her band were just so awesome! She honoured Eminem.

I am now in my late 60's and have enjoyed his career and then to the extension of the Deadringer band, that was made up, basically, of his wife and their 2 children and the beginnings of Kasey's career! I am an Aussie metalhead and got dragged kicking and screaming to a Kasey gig way back in 2004... never have I headbanged more at a gig than at that performance at the Coogee RSL! And they pigeon hole her as Country... that gig was as far from Country as I could ever have imagined, yes there was some country-like elements but there was also blues, R n B, hard rock elements just as much. Kasey is a freak of a talent, so proud she is a skip.

I saw this song performed by her live at the Gippsland Country Festival in country Victoria 2022 and to say the video doesn’t do it justice, is an UNDERSTATEMENT!! It was absolutely mind blowing and the crowd was so taken back that you could hear a pin drop!! Kasey has been my idol since I was a child. Her voice and acouple of her songs have been quite controversial over the years people either absolutely love her or they absolutely hate her, there isn’t any middle ground. She is an incredible Aussie country artist and especially story teller. She is the idol that her fans should meet because she is just an incredibly humble, sweet, beautiful human being all the time. She is ALWAYS so humbled and grateful for the support of her loyal fans and ALWAYS surprised that people know ALL the lyrics to her song especially those from years ago. Mate, we are all fortunate to be seeing this because they didn't record it. They asked for concert goers to send in mobile phone footage in and they pieced it together. Makes the experience that little bit more special
It was a planned recording of the audio at the sound desk - that's why the audience is so subdued, they were asked to "keep a lid on it" to ensure a clean vocal....it was after realizing just how breathtaking the audio was they needed to make up for the oops of not filming it & Kasey sent out the call on social media.

I saw this song performed by her live at the Gippsland Country Festival in country Victoria 2022 and to say the video doesn’t do it justice, is an UNDERSTATEMENT!! It was absolutely mind blowing and the crowd was so taken back that you could hear a pin drop!!
Kasey has been my idol since I was a child. Her voice and acouple of her songs have been quite controversial over the years people either absolutely love her or they absolutely hate her, there isn’t any middle ground.
She is an incredible Aussie country artist and especially story teller. She is the idol that her fans should meet because she is just an incredibly humble, sweet, beautiful human being all the time. She is ALWAYS so humbled and grateful for the support of her loyal fans and ALWAYS surprised that people know ALL the lyrics to her song especially those from years ago.

Mate, we are all fortunate to be seeing this because they didn't record it. They asked for concert goers to send in mobile phone footage in and they pieced it together. Makes the experience that little bit more special
Nah, they recorded the audio and asked for the footage to cut together. They're pros, don't worry.
It was a planned recording of the audio at the sound desk - that's why the audience is so subdued, they were asked to "keep a lid on it" to ensure a clean vocal....it was after realizing just how breathtaking the audio was they needed to make up for the oops of not filming it & Kasey sent out the call on social media.

There are so many Australian artists and bands that the rest of the world have never heard before, but are now slowly being recognized for their songs. Kasey is in a realm of her own, creating her own music; and on top of that, covering Top 20 songs from around the world. Kasey has faced her own trials and tribulations throughout her life and career, and the emotion of her performance resonates throughout the song.

It's such an amazingly different, and beautiful interpretation (not a cover).
It's like she stumbled across the lyrics, having never heard the song, and thought, "These are good lyrics. I could write a song to these." and so she did.
You know, an Artist is very special. When they can take a hit song and totally change the arrangement and make it their own.
