So, Kasey is one of Australia's top Country/Blues artists. She's went solo in 1998 after leaving her family's band (her dad was on the slid guitar - sitting on the left of the stage). Yes, she was playing a banjo. As with most Aussie artists, live recording will usually be better. She's got 13 albums as a solo artist, with most of it folk & country. Her super power is to share her heart with the audience. Other stuff she's done like this is a cover of seven-nation army. I'd recommend a few songs of hers, but if you don't like country, then there's a few others you'll need to stay away from. The song that she says defined her as an early artist is 'The Captain', which is about just wanting to give up on all the drama. The song that she now says defines her is 'Aint no little girl', which is a about a woman getting sick of the antics the man's up to & kicking him where the sun don't shine. My favourite version of that is the one by your Public Broadcast Service (PBS) 'Not Pretty Enough' is another one of her early songs, talking about the frustration of starting to get traction with her fans, but the radio stations refusing to play her songs. Nullarbor Song (Live) is one of my favs. It's about being homesick. To listen to one of her full-on country songs, try "Barricades and Brickwalls", which is about her setting her mind on catching this bloke, and he can run, but it'll just mean he's tired when she catches him. Greetings from Australia. 🌏
She was playing in the beginning, then the mood all changed!
😅
This is the best cover I have EVER heard.
Our Aussie girls rock, her Dad is playing the slide off to the side x
Mate, a great reaction, you got it straight away. This amazing song by Eminem has two halves of meaning, and Kasey makes both stand out brilliantly.
Em does a fairly good job of covering Kasey's song!
Went from bluegrass/folk/indie to rock - turned a masterpiece into another masterpiece
Really enjoyed your reaction and comments 🫶
Everyone will love this
The first two verses are in the 3rd person but when the band kicks In she sings it in the first person.
You don't need to worry about this being blocked. M has heard this and given it his full approval.
Ey man. My first reaction of yours. You got a personality bro. I like it. I'm checking what else you checked. Cheers bro.
F***n' Awesome !!
From bluegrass to rock , seemlessly , she’s awesome
Her voice is amazing, and you should check out her song, "Ain't No Little Girl."
A+ reaction to an A+ cover ….
em's words her music what a pair.
Hey man, I like your vibe. I still get goosebumps watching her. You could call the beginning bluegrass or Americana if she was from the US.
Check out her original "Ain't no little girl ", she puts everything she has into her songs

It's a banjo brother 🙏

This is country with rock added. Kasey's version is more emotive, whereas Eminem's rap approach is more reactive.
