I also discovered soba noodles recently. Actually, today I made them for the first time according to your first recipe - with chicken. It worked out great! My soba journey has begun!
Mind goes to❣️beef soba. By the way eating❣️lotus root this way is the best because this is easiest. Usually ate growing as braised version, while learning by myself got to known it is long simmering nearly 50minutes. Fried chicken with❣️green onion are delicious. Tempura crunchy ❣️egg plant looks octopus so cute! 👩💻❤Thanks for teaching and I hope you have this weekend great.🖤
Wonderful video as always, Sayaka!!!!I never liked soba noodles but your dishes look delicious!!!!! I will definitely be trying them 😋😋😋 (I always love watching your videos, they are simple to follow and I love your voice!!!) Sending hugs from MD,USA!
We had lots of rain here in California this weekend. I stayed in and made Tempura Soba for my family. It was so delicious! Thank you for the inspiration -- and the recipe! 😀😋
Soba are SO good, only discovered them recently. It's really hard to get soba here with a high buckwheat amount though, mostly brands are with a high wheat content.
Great episode as usual, Sayaka. I love soba noodles, also cold in the summer. My fav is with only 20% wheat flour. Sometimes I make soba with European toppings like an Italian ragu or small clams, Arigato and tsuru-tsuru :-))
Tsuru-tsuru 😆 That's so cute. Thank you so much for your comment as always! Wow Your soba recipe with European toppings sounds amazing. I wanna try the small clams with soba. And, you know the 80% buckwheat soba! I always buy the soba at supermarket that contains a lot of flour instead of real buckwheat flour, so I almost forgot how it tastes like haha. Maybe next time, I will buy the high percentage of buckwheat soba 😁
@@JapaneseCookingChannel spaghetti alle vongole - small clams, olive oil, white wine, garlic, chili and parsley. Have made it with soba both in Japan and in Romania, love the ruggedness of the soba.
Hi there, I’m completely in love with your channel ❤ what vegetables would you recommend as a replacement for lotus root, if there are any? I can’t seem to get hold of them in my area and all my attempts at growing them failed 😢 much love from England ❤
Thank you so much for saying that 😆💕💕 I'm so happy to hear that! How about using potato or sweet potato instead of lotus root. These are good for making tempura! Bell peppers and broccoli can also be used for tempura.

I only have shiitake mushrooms for some homemade chicken stock, can I substitute that for water or half and half?
Yes!
Which soy sauce do u use for your 1st recipe? Is it regular or soup one? Thank you
I used regular soy sauce!
I'd love enoki mushroom tempura with my soba~

Thanks! You can try it without them, I think!!
