I like Sikkens brand of paint and their clear coat. I also like Glasurit's paint. Would use both over ppg anyday and twice on Sunday.
I learned from it.. thank you!!!
Happy to hear that😁👍
good job matching color I sagjest u to take formula on system but matching color with silver scale to and let car sun shade to check color with ganeon pece like hood or fender to 19/20
@@janbazshaheen2146 Thanks for the tip
Yes do more tinting videos!! Learn so much from your videos, thank you!
Thanks! Glad my videos are helpful to you.
Good tips Mario on the yellow. It's true usually for pearl white and adding bit of yellow tint it will turns out better. Some older vehicle the white will turn yellower too so by adding yellow it actually match the color. Also the pearl will affect the color to be yellower too. The heavier u apply the pearl, it actually turns more yellow. There is a difference 2 layers of pearl vs 3 layers of pearl. I can get away usually for adding 1 more layer of pearl if it's still Abit white during the paint job. The most struggle is not white actually but silver color. And it's more challenging to blend silver if the color is not that right. But it's a good tips on your video man. It does helps a lot out there.
Thanks. Glad you mentioned that by going 3 coats of pearl or more it can make the color darker or yellower. I’ll do my best to get you some more tips on silver.
I too find silver metallic much more difficult to match. Overall silver metallic and gold metallic are just harder to paint. People forget to finish off with that drop coat.
2:56 it is in gramms for sure. Metric for the win. 😂 Nice tutorial if you have a paint System 😮
Looks a really good match to me Mario you won't get it much better without blending it into the next panel, great tutorial as always Mr Teacher Sir😁😅😉John UK
Thank you my good student 😁
😂👍
Dang new integra rear bumper has been taking a beating
You figured out it’s an integra you must have one
What advice or tips would you give someone who doesn't have access to a mixing station and paint in the garage based on this video. PS been a follower for a while.
My advice would be 1… when you buy paint from the paint store ask for a label of all the toners used to mix the color. That way you know what’s in it. 2.. I would try to store up different types of individual colors so that when I have to adjust a color I can. 3.. understand the basic concept of the color wheel, for example knowing that by mixing blue and orange you get a reddish brown color. And know your secondary and primary colors. 4.. Don’t be afraid to ask questions just like you did here. 5.. No color is the same just because it’s the same paint code. The shade is always different, when a color is too light or too dark you can adjust the color just by drop the air pressure by 3 or 4 psi plus or minus. Hope this helps thanks for your support 🙌
I know on try coat paints those pearls that second coat depends on how many coats you put on it will tone the white lighter or darker ?
You’re not wrong. However if the base is off you’re going to have a hard time changing it with just multiple coats of pearl
Good job 👌👌👌
Thank you!
Nice work Mario I'm a bigger painter and hope one day to be a good painter
Thanks! You can do it💯
I'm here to like and comment... unfortunately the video doesn't help someone like me because I have to "buy off the rack" - I don't have a paint mixer
That’s okay. The point is to know how you can add more of any color to get a better match. you don’t need a whole paint system for it.
I have a 2019 Hyundai Ioniq and there are some scratches behind the front left and right bumper as well as a dent below the rear window. Do I have to take off front bumper to sand and paint.
The right way is to remove the bumper.
I did a blend job on my brothers truck after repairing a small dent. I had the paint matched to the trucks color code n after spraying it, a metallic color, it didn’t match n I don’t have the option of mixing color tones. It seem to be darker than the original. It’s a reddish brown Ford color, 2021. How can I lighten it up slightly?
did u do an effect coat for ur last coat? u can also raise the air pressure up to lighten the color. And just an fyi, just because a color is matched with the color code doesnt mean itll match.
It’s quite difficult to give you an accurate answer for this one. You can try making the pressure higher or just bring a part off the car to the paint shop and have them match it. And your blending technique could make a difference since it’s a blend.
Regular people or customers don't realize all we go through to try to get a color to match 🤦♂. I like watching the Gunman, motivated painters, and Kandy Man.
They sure don’t, but love to judge such is life. We just keep putting our best foot forward every day 🙌
@@mariopaintclass6091 that's all we can do 😭
I just did a white pearl and the clear made the rear door a shade different then the front door when they are butted up. I didn't put any color where they butted up just the clear does the customer have the right to refuse the job because of this?
The truth is a paying customer earn the right to refuse or complain about a job they don’t like.
either the paint did land further on the blend panel, or u didnt taper the clear on that blend panel which makes it appear darker if thats what it appeared to happen. Also if the vehicle is older, the new paint will appear darker aswell.
Exactly and I gotta deliver it tomorrow bit it's had precious work and that looks Exactly like mine turned out
