I cannot thank you enough for all your videos! I bought some things off of your website and it's rare that I get to say that I was more then happy to purchase them and send some money your way after all I have learned from your tutorials.
Thanks again Kenny. I’ve been trying to figure out gates longer than I care to admit and finally I get it. I use Superior Drummer and EZ 2 and sometimes the Tom ring is brutal. You don’t want to kill it by high passing it to death but you do often need to shorten it on single and last hits. You make your tutorials from a rare mental posture..... you actually seek to convey clear instructions on the HOW of a plugin in a way that leaves your student with an understanding of it that enables him to be able to actually USE it. What a concept! 😂 Sure do appreciate you!
Thanks man. It's really great to see someone go through all the parameters one by one. I feel kind of stupid though, cause I still can't understand what it means when the gates "closes" or "opens".
Opening the gate allows the audio to pass through, closing the gate stops it from passing through. When people say the gate is "turned on" they mean it is closed. When the gate is open, it is allowing the audio to freely pass without affecting it whatsoever.
This is awesome I commented you needed this video earlier on another video lol but this can be used to remove vocals from a song to if they are dominate in the song which they normally are so people can go back and sing over them
Kenny -- I wonder could you address when I have to record a singer and his guitar, and the bleed that comes with it.... how to effectively use a gate (supposing that I'm micing well enough) for further separation....
Hi Bro. I just wondering if may I import your videos to my channel and put portuguese subtitles. I have a lot of producers friends in Brazil...the will love to learn how handle REAPER with you. It´s going to be so helpfull to many many people.
Hi. I downloaded the EXE file and installed it. How do I get it to work as a plugin in Audacity? If you can please point me in the right direction. Thanks.
Your turning into the best lecturer I've had so far on my learning journey. Blessings and honorz.

im a noob too but i think its when the loud sounds start to get unmuted and when the quieter sounds begins to mute

Sounds good to me. Good luck.
Thanks
Would reafir subtract for noise go before ReaGate? Or would you just use ReaGate completely?
If you're tlaking about guitar or bass then I would use ReaFIR first and then ReaGate. For Drums only ReaGate.
Can this gate also be used as an expander or Is there an expander in reaper?
Could u do this for vocals ?
