Reaper saturation, as well as the Slate Fresh air plugin, which is %100 free are amazing for that "cut" effect. Also don't be afraid to use the Reaper stock limiter for ultra-present vocals.
There's pros and cons to both. Putting the verb on a send allows you to send multiple tracks to it. For this video I tried to keep it simple by making it an insert.
Thanks for posting. New subscriber here! Which reverb generator are you using? I like being able to fine tune it more than is possible with an impulse response. Thanks

Bro, how did you get your reaper interface to look like protools? Where can I get a logic pro x looking reaper interface?
Look on Reaper forums and search for the skin you want. They basically have everything.
Whats it called though? @MakeTheMusic
can you share the theme you have on reaper please?
Yes, I will put it in my free content area on my website.
Got anything on cut vocals thru the mix with stock plugs?

Is there a benefit to putting the reverb on a separate channel with a send to it from your lead vocal?

Just the stock reaper reverb.
Is this possible in studio one?
Yes of course. The stock plugins will look different but the same principles apply.
Upgrade to Reaper. 😃

Reaper has a 60-day trial. It has a tuning plugin but not virtual instruments. I would encourage you to check it out!
@@MakeTheMusic how to get instruments?
Download my free "Home Studio Toolbox" guide. Plenty of free resources in there.
