Trivia note: About a year before Toy Story 1 was released, the 4 guys in charge of Pixar got together for lunch & discussed ideas for future movies they could make if Toy Story 1 was successful. During that lunch, they came up with the ideas for Toy Story 2, A Bug's Life, Monster's Inc., Finding Nemo, & WALL-E.
They came up with Wall-E more than a dozen years before they created and released it? Damn. That’s quite the foresight. Not that I’m surprised-these folks have quite the track record for brilliance. (Note: I am NOT giving Disney as a whole any credit, even though Disney was good back then. It has become abundantly clear over the years that there’s a huge difference between the thought processes of core Disney people and Pixar people-the latter showing intelligence, foresight, and good decision-making much more consistently. Pixar also seems to learn from their occasional missteps, whereas Disney seems hellbent on doubling down on things that even they acknowledge aren’t doing them any favors.)
They never tell us how long it was before he got to see her again. Was she all grown up. Reminds me in a way to the stage version of Peter Pan, where he is supposed to come back to see Wendy and instead the next time he does, she is all grown up and he takes her daughter to Never Never Land.
Scaring is what Monsters know, and since they are brought up to believe kids are toxic, they never thought to see if there was something else they could use to power their world.
I love that duet between Billy Crystal and John Goodman. The song "If I Didn't Have You" is fantastic. Also, if you don't recognize the voice of Mike's girlfriend Celia, that's Jennifer Tilly, best known as Tiffany, the love interest of the iconic serial killer doll Chucky.
If you watch closely, Boos bedroom has easter eggs from Toy Story, and that could mean she is who the toys were given to in toy story 3....i think that's the connection
Your title is so perfect. There are times when we’re younger when we’re too “cool” to say “made me feel like a kid again”. But that’s exactly what this movie does. Totally agree. Thumbs up all!
I hope you react to more of these kids movies they hit a lot different these days. Back when I was a little kid I didn't know what was going on in these movies, as an adult I'm over here crying over them especially with this movie hitting that internal fatherly instinct with Sully and Boo. As they say cartoons were originally made for adults so it makes sense why we enjoy them more than the kids lol.
This is my all time favourite animation movie to this day. I was 1 years old when the film was released. And The game was also released on ps2 at the same time, or even earlier. So I played the game a lot throughout my childhood! And you could unlock scenes to the movie 🍿 Great reaction! Thanks for the laughs ☺️
Fun fact: Harryhausens restaurant was blown up originally. But, 9/11 happened as this movie was released and the real life harryhausens got demolished in the event. Pixar had to hastily go back in and edit it to the forcefield going up around it instead, to avoid any bad PR or lawsuits.
You have to remember that there's a scare shortage which means a power shortage in their world. Kids aren't being scared as well as they should anymore. Randall's idea was to suck the screams out of the kids as a way to solve that problem. But Mike throughout the movie realized that laughter was more powerful than scream energy. So the Waternoose III (Crab guy boss) was trying to save his company and his workforce. His goals were good but how he went about them weren't. He even says in the movie that he should have went with Sully over Randall which might have led to a more successful conclusion. Great movie though. Classic Pixar 😄
36:55 “What if they moved?” Is hilarious!!! Hahaha never thought about it. You should do a quick reaction the the Meat Canyon video of “Kitty” visiting Boo as an adult.
'Monsters Inc.' IS a great movie. 'Monsters University' is totally forgettable. I know, because I have totally forgotten it. 'Harryhausen's' restaurant is a salute to Ray Harryhausen, a groundbreaking American animator who was responsible for some of the greatest stop-motion monsters of the 20th Century. One of his best-known films is 'The 7th Voyage Of Sinbad.' one of my favorite Harryhausen creatures is Ymir from '20 Million Miles To Earth,' and Harryhausen was also responsible for 'Valley Of Gwangi' (1969) a Cowboys-n-Dinosaurs classic.

Fuck me, I cry every time. Boo is legit one of the best bed time story characters. The cast is incredible and the story is genuinely heartwarming
Same dammit 😢❤
The end of this movie always gets my eyes tearing up. Every single time.
Same. I’m 31 and bawling my eyes out over here. I’m going to hug my kids tight when they get home from school for sure

"Sorry it took so long, pal. There was a lot of wood to go through."
Rivers of tears down my face. Every. Dang. Time.

This is different, I'm up for it!
Plenty more to come 🤞. Thank you for tuning in
A popular fan fiction is the reports of a demon child terrorizing the area with Lazer beams, etc, was actually Jack Jack from the Incredibles
John Goodman is an amazing monster
Sulley is my favorite character along with Mike and Boo!!!!😊😊😊😊😊

I love the improvised 'Put That Thing Back Where It Came From Or So Help Me.' (BUM bum BUM bum....)
@@bwilliams463 That one is funny, awesomely done and adorable at the same time.
Monsters Inc will always be one of my favorite movies. You can never be too old to enjoy these films.
Fun Fact: "23-19" is code for "W-S", or in this universe; "White Sock". xD
Man the comedy is worth the gut punch at the end
One of the greatest of all time! So good!
If you watch closely, Boos bedroom has easter eggs from Toy Story, and that could mean she is who the toys were given to in toy story 3....i think that's the connection

This movie was my childhood favorite
Everytime it "smelled" like a dirty diaper with my kids, I would say "we got a 2319!"
It’s John Goodman doing the voice of Sully and Billy Crystal does the voice of his friend Mike
YAY! This is the snuggliest movie for being full of monsters 😊
Mike Wazowski !!!
Can you watch Monsters University.
One of my all time favorite Disney movies
Awesome movie
Oooooh yeahhhh, let's do this!!!!❤😂
I forgot what College it was but there was a Karen who became a Meme that looked exactly like that Female Slug.
We watched the children's movies so we could "prescreen" them for our grand kids.
SUGGESTION: *Clash of the Titans- retro and modern version. 🎉
You have to watch Monsters University now 👍🏽
Pay attention to the the Monsters eye witness stories on the news.
Then watch Incredibles 2
Lovelovelove ❤️✌🏻🍁
