Trivia note: At the end of Finding Nemo, there was a message that said "In Memory Of Glenn McQueen," whom was a Pixar staff member that had been around since the beginning. Well, Cars 1 came out right after Finding Nemo, so they named the protagonist Lightning McQueen in honor of Glenn.
Probably also inspired by the legendary actor, Steve McQueen, who was known to be a highly skilled race car driver in his off time. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_McQueen
the voice actor for the 43 car, Strip Weathers, was none other than the legendary Richard Petty, the NASCAR king who made the STP 43 car so recognizable.
I cannot tell you how many times I watched this car with my son when he was a small kid--he's 21 now. I love this movie and always will, for the memories it gave us as well as just how good it really is. Plus, I'm a car guy, so all of the tiny details in the movie that really are meant for people who love cars did not go unnoticed or unappreciated.
The blue winged car was a 1970 Plymouth Superbird. The voice is Richard Petty, known in NASCAR circles as King Richard. In his career he won 200 races, and 7 NASCAR championships.

This movie is entertaining and it has actual race history the Hudson hornet was actually a real race car that really did wreck in 1954 and the town radiator springs is a real town Pixar went and visited the town took pictures and animated it definitely on my bucket list of places to visit. Great reaction bro always have a great time watching your videos
I love that you said you were not excited about this movie. First, thank you for listening to your fans. Second, thank you for being honest. That's why we subscribe.
1:50 when I was in college, I got to work at the Daytona 500 for 2 weeks and let me tell you, hearing how loud those those cars are, the vibration and seeing how fast they are in person is exciting. It may get old after 3 laps but the experience of watching something new is the kicker. Idk how they sit for 500 laps but there’s alcohol to pass the time
The Daytona 500 is 200 laps, not 500. The number in the name of a race indicates the number of miles long the race is, not the number of laps. There are tracks that are 1 mile like New Hampshire and Dover, and for those the number in the name of the race would also be the number of laps, but Daytona is 2.5 miles, thus, making the race 200 laps to get 500 miles.
@@tmac731Oh trust me, watching live is a totally different experience to watching on TV. I've been to New Hampshire and it was exhilarating! Been a NASCAR fan my whole life, the rest of my family are huge fans too.
Fun fact this movie is actually discussing a somewhat true story of Route 66 with it being cut off from the map because of the highway many locations appeared because of Route 66 which became unknown.
Even though Lightning McQueen was arrogant, Chick is even more arrogant. Cause at least Lightning learned to be humble. Plus after Chick won the race he didn’t get praised, but Lightning did after he did an act of unselfishness
I love still watching Disney movies. I like to think that keeping some kind child wonder/feeling, such as watching Disney movies, helps keep you feeling young and/or good
The blue car is Richard Petty's #43 1970 Plymouth Superbird. He also voices the car in the movie as well. The Superbird also shares a lot of its styling cues with the Dodge Charger Daytona of similar vintage.
You’ve gotta go to Daytona and see that place for one of the races. It is literally like that part in Gladiator where that guy says “I didn’t know men could build such things.” It’s astronomically big and the sounds and the speed of the cars. It’s something you need to see live to truly appreciate. This is coming from someone who used to say i don’t know who could watch NASCAR. A live event is crazy
Spoilers are supposed to help with the adding more downforce on the rear wheels giving more traction, obviously there are some that are just outrageous and don't exactly help much.
Mater was Larry the Cable Guy. Paul Newman was the judge. Cheech Marin was the low rider. Tony Shalhoub was Luigi. George Carlin was Filmore, the psychedelic van
Freaking love this movie. I thoroughly enjoyed the video. Can't wait for Deadpool X Wolverine! i appreciate the editing patience in advance for that as well lol
this was my favourite movie as a kid, had the DVD, and a portable DVD player. would watch it all the time. another fave of mine is Happy Feet. you should definitely check it out
Any chance of giving us bikers some love and reacting to TORQUE or BIKER BOYZ,THE WORLD'S FASTEST INDIAN, CLOSER TO THE EDGE. Or if you want a series to watch may I suggest THE LONG WAY AROUND Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boardman travel around the world on motorbikes
The voice of the lowrider was Cheech and the hippie van was Chong they did a bunch of stoner movies together and Tommy Chong is the father of the actress Rae Dawn Chong
great movie great reaction as always on a different note would love too see u check out a movie called "lucky number sleven" yes i spelled that correct you will get the name if u watch the movie will keep u thinking the whole time

Do not watch cars 2 it's the worst in the series. You could honestly skip it and watch cars 3 for the continuation of the story. Cars 2 is a cash grabby spy plot? Where a bunch of cars die. Literally the body count is over 200. But the third one is all about aging out just like doc Hudson. First one best one, second blows, third wraps it up, the TV show and the 4th movie is about mater mostly. So annoying as hell just like Larry the cable guy.
This movie entertained me for a large portion of my childhood, i can play the whole menu/opening cinematic in my head, music and all lol
Even as an Adult this is good
@DevinGtv901 i think its better than it was as a kid, you understand a lot more of it

You should get into "Planes" too. It's just like cars, but with planes. Lol

One of the best movies ever❤
As a nascar fan. This and Talladega nights understood our often mistaken sport and laughed with us. Such respect to the history. Much love
Great cast too
The cast killed it 😂
@Devin This movie has a ton of heart...... "Never judge a book by the cover" good Sir.

Introduced my twin boys to this movie when there were about 3 years old and now, at age 17, they still love this movie.
Best thing at Disney’s California Adventure park is Cars land. If you ever go check it out at sunset when they turn the lights on.
"Don't need to know where I'm goin, just need to know where I been." Incredible. The Mater philosophy
Freaking love this movie. I thoroughly enjoyed the video. Can't wait for Deadpool X Wolverine! i appreciate the editing patience in advance for that as well lol
Those racer cars on the highway helped shaped my car taste nowadays,Muscle Cars and JDMs ftw
I genuinely love your reactions! 😀 Keep it up! 🤩
You are the only reactor that got the Jordan part during the wreck at the beginning
one of my favorite disney movies
It is surprising how good this is. The second one is amazing too. Thumbs up all!
Have you seen all of them?
@@DevinGtv901 I honestly didn't know there was a 4th one. I will be watching it hoping it captures some of the previous magic.
Man you're one of my top 5 reactors. Keep up the good work. Just know cars 2 is based on maters tall tales. So it won't focus on racing.
The rust eze guys were voiced by two brothers who had a longtime radio show called Car Talk. They ended every show with "don't drive like my brother"

Obviously my childhood was deprived 😂
You might also like Planes, and Planes: Fire and Rescue.
You should definitely watch Planes that pixar did too. Basically the same concept but with airplanes
Cars is awesome
gotta watch them all. 2nd is like a lil off the scale but 3rd is a homerun. thats all ill say.
Cars 🚙 2 is even better

Most reactors I’ve seen completely miss the Michael Jordan tongue reference.

All 3 movies are worth watching. Cars 2 is a complete different type of movie, think James Bond. Then Cars 3 goes back to the original Cars type movie
Funny movie!
Cars is my most favorite Disney Pixar movie it release in 2006 when I was one years old and until now I still love cars
Wait until you watch planes which is a spin-off in the same universe
Don't Forget to Watch "Planes"
