Also, No the Razer doesn't have an ethernet port. If you absolutely need an ethernet port, go for the 15X. Its an amazing laptop from reviews.

Hi all I think I could explain why there's no Matebook X Pro listed cuz it features i7-U(ex. i7-8550U) series CPU however all the models in this video are equipped with i7-H(ex. i7-8750H) series CPU, which possess much much more performance (also higher TDP) and are more suitable for gaming or content creation

I Extriisive I yes it is more powerful than all the "content creator" laptops he showed in this video. Make sure to get the best cpu and ram with a 1070 max-q, ssd is also somewhat a must.

It was kind of a cool effect to watch you place the laptops in position during introduction. For a minute I thought you were stacking them. Nice edits, and tons of info. Solid vid.
Great video - but it's surprising you include the LG Gram (which has integrated UHD graphics chip), but then discount the Macbook Pro (which does have dedicated GPUs), simply because it's Quad-Core. I'd also suggest the Gigabyte Aero 15X can be considered for content creation, particularly if you get it with the colour accurate 4K screen. Fantastic video though, thanks Dave!

I love how the Razer 15's cons are just the shift-key, how nice is everything else that the biggest issue is one out of 94 keys?
It should have questionable customer service and quality control although I'm very curious as to where it actually stands against it's competition. Like is it really as bad as people think or is it the same as every other company?
i must say I've been using the Razer laptops for generations and they're really good! No complains and the costumer service is actually good they sent m 2 laptops to show that they're sorry for one of my laptop that came broken because of some Airplane stuff while it was shipping.
i must say that i was very sceptical coming into your channel dave. But after learning that you have a college degree( while not in technology is still quite rare among "tech" youtubers), and you dont prostitute yourself for sponsors, I must say i have been thoroughly impressed. Been playing with the new Razer Blade 15 for a couple days and my god is heavenly. It's 99% a complete package. Just some software gripes here and there. Great review Dave!
More like 85% complete package: is has less ports and less storage options than the competition. The battery life is average and it is more expensive. But what really annoys me is that keyboard: there's that weird right shift key but it's mostly the fact the the special characters don't light up, I mean come on razer it's 2018, what's up with the half lit keyboard.
The msi and the aero seem like better deals, yes they don't look as sexy but looks are the least of my concerns when it comes to buying a laptop. For me at least, none of them are a 99% complete package, there are a few major flaws in every single one of them.
I'm just speaking from personal use and daily driving it. I'm sure the other laptops are great, but keyboards you get used to in a day or two. As a pc builder, i'm impressed with the hardware and how they fit everything into such a tiny, but gorgeous frame. You can be entitled to your own opinion, but you cannot tell me my opinion is mute. I speak from personal experience, but quite honestly the new Blade is the best laptop i've ever used and then some.

I picked up the GS65 and love it, your review was a lot of help in making that decision. I actually did a liquid metal replacement of the thermal paste and was able to drop about 10-20C off the AIDA 64 stress tests.
My GS65 is coming in today, super stoked.
If you want to cool your laptop further consider undervolting it unless you've already done it.

Hey Dave Lee, i would recommend you do a long term test, because really most of what you (and pretty much everyone on youtube) show us is just what you get out of the box but not the experience that comes with ownership. I know it can be taxing but maybe do one with your daily driver or a fan favorite laptop. cheers, really love your content.
What about the HP Spectre x360 with the i7-7805G. On paper is the same or even better than the XPS 2-in-1 (Bigger battery) and it cost a bit less for the same specs (RAM and SSD size) and that not even taking into account that the HP has a 4K display by default a Dell will charge you an extra $400 for getting one on the XPS

Hey I came a cross your answer and am wondering why people seem to believe why hp software is "laggy and garbage"- if you were to use windows where lies the problem. I also really like and prefer HP. A lot of things wrong with the almighty Dell XPS 2-in-1 and the company costumer service. Although they do alot of things right on paper :/

Just returned my Alienware R5 17 for a new Razerblade. Made a video on here of the comparison before I did. I had a 1440p, 120hz, Gsync screen, 8750h, and desktop OC 1070 GTX in the Alienware. All that for just under 2k. It was an excellent laptop, but clearly not nearly as thin or as light. As a desktop replacement, I would highly recommend the Alienware with those exact specs. I did decide to test the new Blade, however. I believe the preproduction, or very early model 18 Blades may have had some issues, hence a few poor reviews. I'm glad I waited a few months though, because this thing is amazing! Everything I worried about is nonexistent. Fired it up, zero backlight bleed. Installed Shadow of the Tomb Raider and gamed for an hour. On an old / basic laptop cooler, CPU temp never broke 93c, and averaged 75c. GPU never broke 79c. Once again, this is after an hour of gaming on ultra settings. It ran a steady 60-70fps. Gaming mode was also off. Everything was out of the box default. Long story short, don't listen to the few bad reviews of the Blade. Test it for yourself and be pleasantly surprised.

Because he was looking at premium line-up, most of them with 6 core CPU's and dedicated GPU's. Most of them had 1070's So yeah. Mateboox X doesnt fit in with the rest.
Ehhh technically the i7 has an MX 150 but yeah I get what you mean.

Osvaldo Benedito it's not thin and light. Its bulky and heavy, also build quality isn't as good as those premium devices. In my opinion if laptop isn't portable it loses its primary feature. It's cheaper and better to purchase mobile or regular PC, than heavy laptop.
If I would choose the best device in here, it would be GM501. Thin, light, good build, perfect performance for gaming, best cooling, a little bit cheaper than other premium devices. It has no ethernet and very poor battery life though. But that's gaming device and you can use usb connected ethernet.
