Living in Atlanta and all, I see this plane all the time, and it has and will always be the queen of the skies! She is absolutely majestic when inbound and outbound! My dream is to one day fly this plane. I hope you had an amazing time at Hartsfield-Jackson, and enjoyed your stay in Atlanta.

Always my thought too. The nose is the fist place to hit with basically 0% chance of survival. That's why the flight deck crew don't survive seemingly ever in a plane crash. Chances are anywhere in the plane you won't but you have a better chance in the middle of the plane I think it is
@@nigelmarvin1387 Ever heard of plane crashing tail first? Ha ha. Have you been to large jet accident? I have assisting in NTSB investigation as airline representative. Perhaps some day, with our accruing miles, we will graduate to Prestige. We will be tickled by that. Hard not to dream about when walking past those seats. 🙂
1A on a 747 is my absolute favorite airplane seat. You're so close to the nose that the walls are already starting to wrap around toward the front, so you have a slightly forward view out the windows instead of straight to the side like every other airplane seat. If the plane has a nose cam, you have an uninterrupted view from about 8 o'clock to 2 o'clock during taxi.
I once flew Korean Air first class on their A380, and it was incredible. The food and the service were both spot on, and the seat was very comfortable. I found a good movie to watch on the IFE. The 747 is by far the most graceful looking plane in the sky. I had the privilege of flying Korean in 2017 from ICN to CGK on a 777-300er in Y class. The service in Y was excellent and the seat was pretty decent. I did notice a tad bit more of legroom than most airlines offer.

I’ve seen the Korean Air 747 flying into Hartsfield Jackson International Airport so many times from where I work. What a magnificent sight to behold, and I’m always disappointed when I’m in the wrong place at the wrong time as it’s flying over.
I like the 747s, Jeb. They're so beautiful! I really hope I get to fly one before they're all retired from passenger service. I wish they would still make them. And you ended up at my home airport! I’m off to watch your other trips, so thanks and safe travels.
out of the entire adventure and trip that is in this video, the one thing i notice more than anything else is the choice to watch saving private ryan. Good choice.
Jeb, you are a king! Flying with the queen of the skies is absolutely amazing. I would give the lounge four out of five stars simply because of the view. Thank you for your video.
Korean Air has the best food and best flight attendants I've ever experienced. I was in economy class and the food was delicious and beautiful. The flight attendants were so sweet, pleasant adorably feminine. I can only dream of a first-class experience. Korean Air is definitely one of the best.
I been taking Korean air past few years and was on it earlier this year flying from BKK to ICN then JFK both legs on 747-8. There were only 2 passengers in first class and I was in seat 2A. My experience was totally different. Their service went downhill every year. Their lounge were soso with dirty dishes all over the tables next to the several seats. I was the only one in the lounge and I didn't see anyone cleaning them up for a while. In-flight foods not nearly as good as before and service went down the drain. There were times I tried to wave down FA for a bottle of water but they would just walk right by pretend they didn't notice. Overall I would give 10-12 stars out of 25. I'm going back to Cathay and JAL for the future.
Jeb quick travel tip that you might want to mention to your fellow travelers. If flying from JFK make sure you ask if the food was packed in the plane sealed in containers. My mom (the lady in the profile picture) works at JFK and she saw a guy pee in the back of one of the food trucks because they did not have good access to a bathroom and he did it directly in the container part of the truck that they put the food in.
I'd have to argue with the assertion that no plane has ever been as beautiful as the 747. It was before your time, but I'd bestow the honor of being the most beautiful plane ever on the Lockheed Constellation.
Words cannot explain how badly I want to fly on this variant of the 747, seeing that it's an aircraft I consider to be a gem of aeronautical engineering. I was booked to go on one in 2016 on board Korean Air, only to have the airline change planes at the last minute with an A380, a plane which I have been on so many times............aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! It was at that point I began to contemplate how difficult and unfair life can be sometimes. I lost the will to go on and just wanted to end things then and there. Till today I'm yet to fly on a 747-8.
Charleston Pinto I’m considering taking a trip to Seoul solely to fly on the 747. Korean air is known for changing planes at the last minute so I’m not surprised to hear that they did that.
I had a layover @ Seoul Inchon Airport(2013). I found a beverage vendor which refused hot water for tea. Adapt, improvise, and overcome we’re the only things to do about it.
Came across your channel a few months ago, I really wasn’t into planes and was only around them when my fire department was called to the local airport (AVP) for inflight emergencies but now I’m hooked. Hoping to travel a lot once this pandemic clears up. Awesome channel!
The Korean Air logo incorporates Taegeuk, a traditional Korean symbol. The symbol was chosen for the design of the national flag in the 1880s. The origins of the interlocking-sinusoid design can be traced to as early as the Goguryeo or Silla period, dated to the 5th or 6th century.
Great video, thanks for all the information! Also thanks for the information on NordVPN! I have been thinking about this and you just talked me into it.
I sincerly think the 747-8 is much nicer than the A380. About the bumps ... some friends of mine have recently experienced the same conditions when crossing the Pacific ... bumps sometimes for the total duration of the flight from New Zealand to LAX.!
Thank you for your review. The flight attendant should have just given you the ramen. It wasn't up to her to deny you ramen just because she thought it would be too spicy for you. The food you did have looks excellent. When I flew Korean, the food was also excellent both in economy and in business class. I enjoyed porridge for breakfast (a Korean choice) and even other passengers were 'shocked' that I wanted a Korean breakfast. That was sweet and endearing. The breakfast was delicious. Bulgolgi is a great choice for dinner. Korean beef is just absolutely delicious!
My favorite flight was KA upstairs business class from IAD to Incheon/Seoul about 18 years ago... Their flight crews are really nice, and upstairs is nice place on the plane.

I love Korean air,
Cabin's are great and hygiene...
I agree. The Queen of the Skies is one of a kind
On KoreanAir the sky is yours...the world also!!
I will always remember the "Excellence in Flight" commercials from Korean Air. Always made me want to fly them..
Genki's Travels They aren’t any thing special
Thank u for using our aircraft and for your favorable evaluation.(I am an employee of this airline.)
as someone who is korean respect to u for flying a 747-8
The Korean Air logo incorporates Taegeuk, a traditional Korean symbol.
The symbol was chosen for the design of the national flag in the 1880s.
The origins of the interlocking-sinusoid design can be traced to as early as the Goguryeo or Silla period, dated to the 5th or 6th century.
@Owly123 Haha. Actually no, Pepsi looks like the Taegeuk symbol. Since Taegeuk symbol was first used like 5th - 6th century... But I hear yah.
Great video, thanks for all the information!
Also thanks for the information on NordVPN! I have been thinking about this and you just talked me into it.
I get so excited when you upload a first class video
Awesome video man liked
Yes, I have been a plane geek since 1975. The 747 is my favorite.
My favorite flight was KA upstairs business class from IAD to Incheon/Seoul about 18 years ago... Their flight crews are really nice, and upstairs is nice place on the plane.
I flew on Korean Air once. It was 4 times. From HCMC to Seoul then to Toronto and back. It was ok even with economy
great trip report! They deserve 25/25 for this flight, everything was perfect
Great vlog Jeb !
Best seat in the house !
Korean is one airline I would love to try
This flight comes into Atlanta about 10 am local time. It’s usually about the time I take a work break and can usually catch it as it flies in. Although in the last few weeks it’s been early quite often and I miss it
Will you please make a video about your watches one day?
