I flew on a Korean Air Boeing 747-8 from Atlanta to Seoul Incheon in First Class. This is the current longest Boeing 747 flight in the world with over 7,100 miles and with 15-16 hours of flying time.
Check out the Korean Air First Class Suite (Kosmo Suite II) and its amenities. During the flight, I tried out the Korean Bibimbap, which is served across all classes on Korean Air. I also learned about Korean culture from the Korean cabin crew.
For many of us, the journey itself is the most exciting part of the trip. Korean Air B747-8 First Class is one fine example of luxury travel with a fully enclosed private suite, fine dining, amenities and attentive service. The only thing missing is the Wi-Fi connectivity to make the experience perfect.
As a cabin crew myself, I can just say from a professional side, that the woman in this video is a true gem to her company. I would love to have a colleague like her!

Korean Air a number of times, I can say from experience, they are very nice and courteous all around.
pay matters. The reason why Korean Air is costly, compared to other airlines, and cheap ones like AA or Delta, is because they not only pay their cabin crews in high amounts, but also treat the customers the best. AA and Delta sucks ..Its cheap for a reason

Korean Air is very famous beyond Koreans. The flight attendant is exceptional...you can tell she is not fake. She's very good.
I am retired from an airline and when I had the privilege of flying first class, we were never served anything like this. I'm impressed. 🎉
Korean Air's bibimbap meal at economy class is incredible! Absolutely didn't regret going for this option against the Western one. Basically the best food I have ever had on an airline.
I've been on countless business class flights and the economy bibimbap on korean air never fails to amaze me. It's so simple and delicious, as well as being healthy and having a good portion size. Absolutely love it.

@Patrick It was due to the restriction policy from the South Korean government and since the restrictions are finally ended, we can now aboard the flight with no masks..

My first ever business class experience was flying on Air Korea in 2019... Brisbane to Seoul and Seoul to JFK, B777 and A380. Korean Air really was amazing services and the food was amazing, quantity and quality so much food. Only thing that lacked was their entertainment, was lack of content though. But still enough to entertain me for 24hrs in a plane.
I think Korean Air is pretty nice especially their beautiful cabin attendant but want them have in-flight wifi system asap.

I’ve been watching Korean’s ATL-ICN route ever since Korean replaced their once per day SFO-ICN 747-8 with two daily 777-300s. SFO was the first route served when Korean introduced their 747-8 service and I had the great opportunity to take it once. Even a follow on leg on another 747-8 to HKG. Simply the best and most beautiful commercial aircraft ever built!
As beautiful as that plane was, inside and out, his flight attendant was drop dead gorgeous...

Well, it's hard to tell with fucking face masks. BTW I don't like how they still force both passengers and crew to wear one. I flew Lufthansa and Singapore Airline last fall and no masks on board.

It IS the same one from the Dreamliner.

same ? no similar yes , the genx-2b has a smaller fan and it has one less LP compressor and turbine stage , what i noticed on the genx-2b is that maintenance is a little bit more annoying because the added bleed pipes blocks a lot of things, i was trying to do a ignighter plug and it's behind all the pipes !!!😭

Haha, i used to be so confused when i landed at my tiny hometown Gimhae airport in Busan and see 2 747s just sitting there. I learned 10 years later that was there used to supply parts

Korean Air is always a delightful flight. Planes are spotless and the Korean flight attendants effortlessly make one feel welcome, regardless of the class of service.
They are the mask police. The entire country is double jabbed and their heads explode if your mask drops below your nose...it's nonstop harassment actually. Wear your diaper at all times, just like communist china

Thanks to videos like this, I can get to see some things I most likely won't ever experience in real life, like travelling first class. I particularly like the touchdown scene... either you have the best camera stabilization out there, or that was the smoothest touch down I've ever seen!

What an experience, I love the fact that the Korean Flight Attendance was so realistically kind, always smiling, and they were so polite in general. One of my biggest concerns about eating unfamiliar other nations' dishes is that I do not know how to eat those foods properly as the native people based on the origin of the foods, and I actually got happy when I saw that kind professional flight attendant was helping you to instruct you how to eat their Korean food properly as it should be. Wow! Good Job Koean Airline.

I forgot I had first-class experience with Korean Airlines almost 30 years ago. It was a morning flight from Seoul to Osaka, and the meal was amazing.

in 2011 i took my second korean air trip .went from SEOUL to JFK and was lucky to be bumped up to first class.since then i been to korea multiple times and never will fly another airline there again. service ,entertainment and food is impeccable .

Great video, Sam! I am a big fan of Korean Air. I get very nostalgic. I first took them in 1990 when i was age 19, from Honolulu to Osaka via Seoul (DC-10 out of HNL!) Then again in 1992. Then IAD-ICN-DPS in 2015 and finally in 2017 on the A380 in business class from JFK. One thing that really amazes me....their website still shows my 1992 flights in the Skypass account history! I love the good vibes on Korean Air and can't wait to take them again.

Totally agree Sam, that the journey is more important than the destination. This became very apparent to me during the days of the main line ocean liner, (not cruises) I did many of these in the sixties and 70's mainly because air travel was way too expensive and I had plenty of time to get there. Thanks for your channel .. wow I love the look of the food.

Korean Air crew is the best.. i'm European..so i flew just few times with them.. but they are always so perfect!
Dude...even though 1st class is incredibly expensive (but hey there are ways to get around that!!) This flight alone i feel was completely worth it just for the flight crew and the cabin attendants. What a service and so good people to have on the flight. I must say after watching probably 100's of flight videos if not 1000's i feel this crew just made the whole flight worth taking. Anyone who works on an airplane EVERY day on their shift needs to be in the spotlight for all the hard work they do to make their passengers feel at home in every way and pampered. For once in a video i did not focus on the suite or anything in the airplane itself more on the service and the hospitality of korean air wich was supreme.

I flew Korean Air many times. Trust me, KE flight attendants are never that friendly. Not saying that they aren’t good at their job this just feels like they were being super friendly and over the top with their service just for the camera. Usually Asiana has more consistent and genuinely polite , helpful services onboard.
I was fortunate enough to fly Korean Air 2019 before covid from Seoul to Brisbane and i was impress with the service and food was amazing even in economy compared with other airlines, I’d like to experience to travel in first class to go visit Korea again, first in my bucket list. I flew that flight in 06. The service and food on Korean air is top notch. Which helps on such a long flight.

I flew Korean Air recently on their 787 in both economy and business class. I love that they notify me through their app when my bags are loaded onto the plane on every leg, gave me peace of mind. Their economy seats have a generous recline angle and ample leg room. Business class seats however is lacking storage, tabletop space, and bedding. Food is good in both classes.

I've seen that plane fly over my house a few times when it flies the PENCL2 departure off the west flow (i.e. flying towards Cartersville from Atlanta). From the ground in Kennesaw, most of the planes look like blips with wings, but when that one flew over, it was graceful, distinctive and looked like it was in charge!

Back in 2015 i first flew on Korean Air. From that time if there’s option for Korean air I always choose them over other airlines. My most favorite one

Apparently they will retire them by 2031, so we still have some years to enjoy them.
Hey Sam, glad to see that you had a chance to experience the KE 747-8 first class. It's one of my fav first class which offers top notch service with great selection of food but like you said it lacks the wifi which is a bit disappointing. Please try out the new LCC that flies from ICN-LAX. It's called Air Premia.
I flew my first 747 from Chicago to Honolulu in 1972. It's been a great run for a great plane.

I loved this! Brought back memories of traveling to Korea for the first time, to teach English at a kindergarten in the early 2000's. I remember having the Bibimbap on board for the first time and not knowing that I needed to mix it all together with the Gochujang 😂. Great airline Korean Airlines and Great country to live in. Gotta go back one day and hopefully catch up with my former students. ❤✈🇰🇷

I flew on a KAL 747-8 in 2016 SFO-INC in business class - awesome ride and the food and service were the best. Watching Sam eat made me very hungry for Korean food!

Whenever I compare Asian airlines vs Western airlines it's the Asian hospitality that makes a big difference in inflight service. Korean Air is one of my favourite airlines to fly with.

I flew the KE018 first class flight on the a380. That was an amazing experience with the cocktail bar at the back of the plane.
Also the reason there is no wifi on Korean Air or Asiana is because Koreans are so used to to high-speed internet, that the airlines supposedly don't want to deal with complaints about slow internet.

And I would like to share with you why you can't go to the cockpit because the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure prohibits visiting and recording the cockpit according to the Korean Aviation Safety Act.

I can't even find where the cockpit is located. 0:54 The cockpit is on the upper deck but this isn't the entrance, so it must be on the lower deck but as you can see 17:01 it is on the upper deck. Do they have some kind of secret entrance?
@user-ll8tp8hu2i The door you mentioned at 0:54 is just a secret cabinet or drawer for the cabin crews. The cockpit location of B747 is definitely in the upper deck.

@@Leon-zb7ei Very simple. 2:29 You see the curtain on the front? If you pass it, you'll see the lavatories and some storages, and then there's the door to the cockpit. The door of the cockpit normally stays locked during the flight.
