Having the option to turn OFF dialogue camera mode is a big plus for me. I hated that dated feeling 'zoom-in' style, so being able to have a more natural feeling dialogue with NPCs is something I was hoping they'd add at some point.

I hated that too. I wasn't expecting an official fix for it
I love the old camera style like oblivion and fallout 3

@@Agent789_0 Let's see you develop a game like this then. 🤡
@@TheWholeGrainBread_RealOh look, a brain dead Redditor.
I absolutely love when developers give you options to make your own difficulty instead of only having "easy, normal, hard". Freaking sweet.
lmao it's not there to serve you, it's there for the publishers. It's literally a calculated tactic to reassure investors; "Look! The game can't be too easy OR too hard! It's marketable to all demographics!" - Bethesda at their quarterly earnings ritual. Imo it devalues a game experience completely and shows pretty explicitly that either the publisher or the developer had no confidence in their work, or that they did not have or follow through with an actual design and plan (unsurprising, look at FO76; Bethesda has a history of not planning well). They didn't think it would move units so they made a cynical play to make it marketable to the most people (also look at 76, released as a Rust clone because the publisher/ investors were unsure of the product).
This is endemic of a much larger issue at Bethesda: Their leadership is fucking lost.
@@yukisohma19 that's the turth, sadly. The biggest issue with the gaming industry right now is by far the consumers. They're delusional and have laughably low standards.
Of course game companies keep releasing trash when the consumers are buying into it. It's mind-boggling how the "release now, fix later" scheme is still relevant and accepted by people.
@@yukisohma19 "Look! The game can't be too easy OR too hard! It's marketable to all demographics!" You said that like that's a bad thing? I play games to get a decent amount of challenge but i don't have time to master a game that's deliberately made too hard as a selling point. If their goal is to appeal to all demographics and i happen to be in it then it's there to serve me. Use your head.
@@piccoloatburgerking Their comment was a big comment rambling about nonsense. Adding more calculated difficulty sliders to a game released last year would do nothing to appease stockholders, and the players themselves have begged for Bethesda to go beyond the easy/normal/hard that just universally scales damage. A lot of players are just unhappy no matter what they are given.
@@TKDBoy1889 True. It's extra funny when they start using completely nonsensical excuses to hate on it which just shows how vapid they are as people.
The ability to chnage ladder placement while in decorator mode would be clutch. Even if it can't be done this update.
Actually the ability to move doors also.
Didn’t use a ladder for the whole game just boost pack up everything because it’s fast
diagonal parts as well ... plus stairs and or elevators .... so much could be added (assuming as i am not a dev)
What I've been crying for too, bro!
Finally, a TRULY big update for Starfield.

We've been waiting for that land vehicle addition for so long. A lot of these stuff should've been in the base game to begin with but whatever, gotta appreciate Bethesda at least not giving up and still updating the game for free.
LOL If this is what you call "big" then there is no hope for you few remaining Bethesda fanboys.
I feel like this is stuff we basically could’ve done with mods anyway. These small changes to big systems isn’t it. It’s not what’s going to make the game better. But one step at a time.

Same. I want a landing/take-off sequence every time.
@@leigel3What are you guys talking about? The current game always shows landing and takeoff cutscenes from every planet, unless you fast travel.
@@HaploBartow We are talking about getting the cutscenes when you fast travel. Your mission just got updated and you have to travel to another planet. You won't go through the travel time, but at least you get a cutscene. It's more cinematic. It sets the scene.
@leigel3 i usually fast travel to the planet space then travel to the specific landing zone to get the cutscene. A couple extra clicks but more immersive
@HaploBartow on planets you've landed on previously? I've never been able to get that to work. Once in space around the planet when I access the planet map to find my landing zone I appear next to my ship on the surface, no cutscene
The only people hard at work are the script extender team. And yet you don't give any of them props for your games. Such a damn shame.

Lmao did u say props? Props to you for being blind
Modders are great of course but the ONLY people hard at work ? I think the actual devs of the game put more work into actually building the game modders can work off of.
They have literally hired modders
Number 1, "giving them props" is not expected nor should bethesda be obligated to do so, a group of people modify their game at no request from bethesda, bethesda has no obligation to thank nor even interact with them
Number 2, bethesda has went to modding teams and hired people from them to work on future projects. bethesda games may be buggy, but not a SINGLE one of them says lazy, are you insane?
I've always had a problem with the way Bethesda does damage scaling in their difficulty settings, giving players the option to adjust it for themselves without mods is honestly pretty awesome

Garfield sucks. No update will fix that.
@@ArcadeIsMyLife1 cry more lol yet here you are tho
Literally the best thing they're adding here is FO4/Skyrim dialogue camera. So basically, their best addition is removal of Starfield's features from the game.
@@Dr.StrangelewdThat's some massive cope
Holy shit actual good QoL changes.
Some things I would like to try for my next playthrough,
-Increase carry capacity
-Increase combat affliction effects
-Increase all environmental affliction effects and damage
-Increase food and medical healing
-Turn on sustenance
-Raise both player and enemy combat damage
-Keep ship combat at default (because it's already tedious and I suck at it lol)
-Increase vendor credits
This will give the game a fast paced survival feel without making it too tedious. This will also give actual use to many items in the game. I feel having temporary limitations to your exploration through higher afflictions and damage helps to enrich the experience, where having free reign to go wherever right out the gate with little to no problems only cheapens it. I learned this from playing Elden Ring and Breath of the Wild.
Now if you want to explore a hot planet, you better save up for a suit that can handle the heat.
Also, having higher combat afflictions and enemy damage will detour you from running in guns blazing. But the higher player damage will help out if things go wrong.
Bethesda only needs to add some enemy variety and more interesting things to explore. I guess mods will help too. I also hope they add the original fuel system back into the game as an option as well. Let us feel like we actually have to plan our expeditions.
I'm honestly already starting to see the potential of what this game could become. :)
- making carrying capacity easier diminish the game mechanic. although, I would support using mass as load which different planet may have different weight due difference of gravitation.
- sophisticated food and medical mechanic modders should do
- vendor economic should be improved as it doesn't make any sense for them to refill their credit without any "customer" to buy
@@chawza8402 I kinda disagree with the first one, one of the biggest complaints by most people was the carry capacity. It was too low and made the game way more tedious than it needed to be.
As for the second one, I don't think modders shouldn't be expected to do anything. It's not their job to fix the game.
And the economy definitely does need a rework. It's too bare bones in my opinion.
4:43 Never thought I'd see the day, truly.
Even though vehicles should have been there at launch, this is the one thing that has made me optimistic about continued support from Bethesda for this game.
I love modding, I really do, but only after there is a solid base of official content and support to build off of.
This looks great. The gameplay options to fine tune the experience is AWESOME.
Lack of respec in NG+ was the one thing that made me drop it. Things like having a house only to find it is useless because it is not an outpost, and there is an exclusion zone that prevents a nearby outpost, so might as well live on your ship since it had storage (awesome they allow outpost deco ships and empty modules now!) I loved the idea that they are making it more like quantum leap, that you can step into someone elses shoes if you want - even though you know your past your experience left you wanting to change your past.
Disappointed there was no mention of survival mode, just options for food/water/hazards. I was expecting a redesign that would require outposts to be able to travel farther for longer, rather than outposts existing only to serve outposts.
There is a LOT of update material that is very fan driven. Impressed!
Starfield has become my favorite game of all time I have over 1500 hours of play time and I can’t wait for this new update and of course the shattered space DLC man this game has so much room for improvement and I cannot wait to see what they are going to do with this game in the near future!!!!

A lot of the stuff here are mods that players created a long time ago. I don't really understand why people are getting so hyped about it when most of these things should have been included in the game from the beginning. Regardless I'm sure we will see a lot of it completely disregarded as being too late or something cause for many people it genuinely seems like it's more about wanting something to complain about than it is about wanting the game to actually improve. Bethesda PLEASE keep updating this game. This new stuff is looking awesome
Changing traits for NG+ and vehicles are BIG for me... I guess vehicles will still be much further down the line, but good to see that it's going to happen eventually.
The only big thing left now is flying with pulse drive within star systems, from planet to planet - incl. auto pilot (or even better "have a crew member fly"), letting us craft, manage inventory and talk to npcs on the journey. Then the space cowboy fantasy would be pretty much complete in terms of mechanics.
Yeah man that'd get me reinstalling.
Yes, I think of all the things Starfield should have had from the beginning, THIS would be the thing to make this game far better.
2: One, two or three planets have to have much more handcrafted content with unique questlines and poi that lets you explore these planets in a more old fashioned Bethesda way.
3: greater consequences and dependencies in terms of factions you choose and decisions you make.
4: Point of views with meaning. There is so much potential for enviromental storytelling. Especially when you think about the many uninhabited caves on random planets.
These features aren´t that easy to mod into the game.
So I would have prefer those more than features that are a bit easier to mod, like setting difficulties.
But I´m optimistic. Not in terms of an update like this or features like vehicles in the early stage (that might be a cluncky thing) more because of the potential the base game offers.
A realistic point for these updates would be 2028 considering their rate
WE’RE FINALLY GETTING VEHICLES ❤
It would be nice if they added random POIs in space to give us more of a reason to fly around. They should also add space mining.
Ideally, they should at the very least add planet to planet flying, or hide the loading screens in some way.
I think these updates are good, and are a good start to fixing the game though.
Buffing both your and enemies damage sounds like an amazing way to make combat more deadly and exciting
Attention all bethesda fans, this is the content we want, please show bethesda we are appreciative of this so they know this is what we want. They are finally listening to the fans
bethesa actually listens W
Bethesda troll, anyone?!
True
Whats there to appreciate? A game in developement this long should have been shipped with those features.
@@LukasAusDEhuh? all of this is just QOL, the game shipped completely finished unlike most games that released in 2023 and even 2024
This seems a great update. Exciting to start playing with it. Hope also, the focused a bit in several very annoying bugs in the game. Hate to go to my ship and it's not there, or if I am in the ship and can't get out because is there, but it's not there. Some issues with the outposts disapeering after we built them and other small issues we can find during our game play. But with all of this, Starfield is an amazing game. Thank you for it.
Trust Bathesda to be working on a new expansion instead of putting all their efforts into the base game. All these features should've been implemented on release.
That map looks a gajillion times better than before. Legit day and night difference.
I’ve been playing starfield since launch and I think it’s a really good game. It just needs a lot of work and finally they’re doing it.
thank you a-Xbox-fan for your unbiased, independent opinion on this wonderful game

Thanks for still working on this game. I was really excited for it when it came out, but, like a lot of people, I got disillusioned with it the longer I played it, and found the worlds and systems lacking. I’m looking forward to seeing further development.
One system I really liked, despite its flaws, was ship building. Will there be a day, or is it possible to control the internal layout for doors on a ship module? That would be awesome.
Vendor credit adjustment is awesome when I want to sell my stash of 50 Grendals without taking a 45 sec sleep cycle 100 times.
Land vehicles so you can get to the same 3 structures on every planet faster
No exploration in this game play a past game they forgot how to make games
Lmao
Nice, Bethesda. I didn't really liked Starfield at launch but I hope you can make it great. I'm rooting for you all.
They can't, it's beyond fixing and they know it. That's why they focus on Quality of Life changes because they would have to make a whole new game for us to actually have exploration. Right now it's just empty planets and 4 outpost templates
@@youtubesucks1821 boohoo
@@harrasika Is that how you respond to fair criticism? Keep enjoying your crappy games, kid
@@youtubesucks1821Buddy what? The Shattered Space dlc is also coming out lol with updates every 6 weeks starting also. The game is solid sounds like you just took tiktok and reddit arguments about how the game is unfixable and ran with it 😂. A qol update has qol improvements who would’ve thought 🙄
Game was already great. These updates make it even more so.
60 FPS on Xbox is Huge, may get me to come back
Even if it's only small improvements, I'm glad to see it's not abandoned & the updates aren't just extremely miniscule additions.
Though they really gotta try fixing/improving fast travel and exploration too.
I wish we could fly our ships out of ‘orbit’ and into space
Finally, a decoration mode for ships, even blank slates so you can decorate it to your desire, and truly make it feel like your home. I also like that you can change things about your character when entering NG+ 😊
Hey I know starfield wasn't what people wanted when it came out, but people are giving feedback, Bethesda are doing neat things with it.... most developers abandon their games after launch lets be honest.
say you're a bot without saying it
@@TheWorldsprayerI mean you're probably the type of person to call anything a bot even when you see a slight ounce of positivity from someone. I'd say that's way worse
@TheWorldsprayer sure smoothskin. I am a complex amalgamation of code 😏
It’s still not what I want😂
I'll finally not have to gut the Frontier just to get its cool unique Hab to use as a Captain's quarters on a bigger ship.
Also here is hoping they hear us out about letting us have full access to the parts catalog at our larger landing pads. I hate wasting money on parts I don't want on my ship just so it will pass a flight check so I can cart it to the next yard.
Color me impressed, props for actually listening to the fans' feedback
happy for being able to change space diffulculty i cant for the life of me get good ship fighting
were getting there
Might come down to perks?
I had the same issue but it was because i had so many perks into combat, & nothing on the various ship combat skills in the tech tree!
When that creation kit comes out oh my oh my oh my is is going to be amazing
Starfield deserves a comeback just as Cyberpunk 2077 and NMS.
And Fallout76 while we are at it.
As long as it doesn't take dev time away from elder scrolls 6 I don't see why not
Here come the historical revisionists trying to imply Starfield had as disastrous and disappointing a launch as Cyberpunk 😂
@@dachshund_gaming it's definitely a weird comparison. People's complaints of starfield is mostly too many loading screens and planet exploration is boring. Cyberpunk released an absolute broken mess where every time you turned around all the cars on the street refreshed into new ones.
That’s a real tough sell cyberpunks issue was clear as it was mainly performance issues. Starfields core gameplay elements are simply boring and dated. A entire overhaul is not likely to happen hopefully Bethesda can supplement the issue by adding better quest and more handcrafted exploratory areas though to at least make the game more enjoyable.
The incremental gameplay difficulty options are fantastic and make so much sense given how players already tweak stuff like that with console commands and small mods. Hope to see stuff like it in all BGS games going forward. Also still very hopeful for a survival-esque game mode that brings back the need to manually fuel starships with Helium 3.
Yes, this game has so much potential for an amazing survival mode, imagining a mix of Skyrim and Fallout 4's survival! And hey Lyle, love stumbling across a random comment from one of my favorite RUclipsrs!
This is my number 1 request. I hope they’re working on it but what we have now is a big improvement
Yeah, it looked great and same goes for native ng+ re-spec, but I am little bit scared for the additional xp, though hopefully new difficulty will scale better. Ultimately the survival needs are what the game is missing most and that is what I will wait for until sinking more hours in. I know there are mods for that already but they don't seem quite right and without the tool kit, tinkering with those or making your own is just too much work.
Looking at the difficulty sliders, it seems to bring some survival mode elements. I noticed sustenance and environmental damage toggles. Perhaps they can add fuel later on
@@Darkdiver28 Hmm, I didn't notice the sustenance. It might then be time to boot the game.
About time, it has taken far too long, amazing game and I havent played for 5 months
The dialogue in this video was just as real like in the game 😂
But seriously, I'm looking forward to the update!
The dialog was so cringe for real lol
There was one mission that was really nice. When u follow the crimson boss to the ice prison planet when u go down the big staircase. That was really nice.
DAMN, now that’s an update
I just feel bad for those who poured many hours into this mediocre game when there was stuff like this waiting around the corner. I’m glad I quit 20 hours in; once the 60FPS, vehicles and new DLC comes out, I’m giving it another go.

Vehicles are coming! Woo! Not this update, but they are actively working on it! Yay.
Wondering If one should wait until vehicles come to jump back into the game.
@@TravisLee33 That's what i'm doing. Running 5 minutes from one POI to another was awful, so when land vehicles are introduced i'll be starting a new playthrough. Plenty of good games to keep me occupied in the meantime.
Im impressed that theyre doing their best to fix the game honestly. Like my big W is removing/making it optional to remove the camera zoom when tou talk to someone
Will the enemy NPCs also be able to use the vehicles? That would be great, real chases and vehicles versus vehicles combat. I'm excited. :) 😊

This looks like it's really going to change the gameplay experience. That dialogue camera is the biggest thing for me personally. Dialogue in Skyrim/FO4 always felt lightyears ahead of the dialogue in Starfield. I hate not being able to walk away (or even pause) at anytime. Big W in my opinion.
Agreed, nice addition.
I don't think you'll be able to walk away the same way with fallout 4. I think the game still pauses
@@valentinchappa6702 Ahh yep, just tested out the beta update this morning and you’re correct. Bit of a bummer, hopefully they add that in soon, but I would imagine that would take a lot of extra work for conversations based around scripted events / factions quests, etc.
How about filling up these empty and boring planets with more variety of outposts and locations? I joined the Crimson Raiders and visited about 12 planets, 10 of them there were exactly zero enemies to fight even in the outpost buildings because the Crimson Raiders has already showed up taken over the outpost and being in the same faction they don't attack the player. The caves and whatnot are all extremely underwhelming, how did you accomplish something so for below the level of exploration and organic discovery in Skyrim with this much time to develop Starfield?
yes, they'll do it. but they need another 24 month for it because diversity
yea, thats always been my biggest issue. all the systems and things are passable imo, but the sheer lack of variety to content was so disappointing.
Crimson raiders 😂😂😂😂😂
So you want your own faction to attack you?
The title of this video is great, since it signals both the date of the update and Bethesda's attitude towards the whole project
Even better update than I expected. Let's go!
Well it's almost time for me to get back into starfield.
I’ll say this. If Bethesda spends a good 3 years more of supporting this game, it could be amazing.
Add more Poi’s on planets
Change ladder placements in ships
Etc. could be awesome.
Def need to come back once the dlc drops
I'm still playing it. I've stopped at the last quest of the main Story to do all the other side quests now.
I'm so excited about the upcoming Updates etc👍🏼☺️
I'm glad they're finally adding much needed improvements. Hope they resolve the loading screens the way they did dialogue cameras.
