Lol at the commute is used to decompress btw. I'd best it's time to listen to an audiobook, then again I could do that at the gym I'd go to instead of that approximate 1 hour commute. I can manage my own time thank you very much

Those who want to work from home should be able and those who want to visit office should be able, its should be employee choice. Ideal policy in my opinion. Each human decides for himself where is he is most effective.

It's not that simple. The reasons that people have for working from home are very important.
If they work from home because there's something wrong with the office environment, be it noise, a feeling of social unsafety, or some other problem, a healthy company will strive to fix those things.
If it is truly because someone feels they can get more work done at home, then it might be useful to have a few days of working from home.
But since most companies are all about people working together (the word company literally comes from the Latin for "eating bread together"), working from home will always sacrifice long term team building in favor of short term productivity.

bro the very nature of this question, serves the most wealthy. Workers who enjoy work differently should get to figure out what works best for them.

What a joke of a ted talk this is. This isn't a critical discussion of how hybrid work has 'worked', or a discussion on how management is changing. This is a marketing presentation that's tailored to be a CEO's wet dream that justifies the capital investments in large, expensive and useless office real estate - the main reason why companies are so concerned about everyone returning to the office.
I hope that TED at least realises that all this 'specialist' did here was sell himself.
'What do people do with the time they aren't spending commuting'? Hah. They're not wasting money and time that isn't included in their paycheck or work hours, let alone all of the health, family and well.being related activities they can do in that time...

Spoken like a guy who misses bossing people around. Hybrid work is more productive, convenient and wanted period. What we do not need is more consultants.

Spoken like a someone with a very narrow mindset and limited work experience... It is important to recognise and discuss this issue with open mo d instead of "I like my idea therefore your idea is bad". Hybrid work does not work for everyone.

Totally agee with Tutu Puff. Notice actual worker wellbeing wasn't considered one of the considerations. Only 'effective delivery of stakeholder commitments', ie. Shareholder profit. And I love how he describes how the tight job market is forcing the poor businesses to provide 'perks' like flexible working and daycare while they exploit their staff's labour.

The "maybe the commute is good for you" argument is beyond laughable. Do you realize I could ride a bus or drive around for an hour on my own if that was helpful to me? Notice that I don't do that of my own volition and ask yourself why.
A transition period or activity between work and home is likely important for most people, but you can do that in so many different ways that don't involve spending the same amount of time you would commuting, not to mention the unnecessary vehicle miles.

It is quite true what Philosophy says: that Life must be understood backwards. But that makes one forget the other saying: that it must be lived-forwards. The more one ponders this, the more it comes to mean that life in the temporal existence never becomes quite intelligible, precisely because at no moment can I find complete quiet to take the backward- looking position.

As being sent home to work, when I never wanted to be here. I agree with the total disconnect. I am a non-enitiy to the corporation now, when I was in office I felt more connected and valued, instead of just numbers to get out on time.

God loves you and takes care of you for the arrival of this message to you. God exists and He is the one who controls the universe. The biggest loss that a person can lose in this life is to live and die without knowing God and His Messenger Muhammad and the Islamic religion is the last religion after the Torah and the Bible. I advise you who read this message to read The Qur’an is translated in its own language, and after that, you can decide whether you are convinced of it or not. What is your feeling after death, and you see what awaits you from God’s torment, an eternal loss of intelligence to know and read, and you have the judgment after your conviction.

  • @islam9.0
    @islam9.0 2 года назад +1

Islam is a religion that calls for the worship of God alone, who has no partner, and that Muhammad is the last of the messengers. The Qur’an is the last book of God. It is one copy that has not been distorted. Scientists prove scientifically things that were discovered only in recent years, such as the stages of the formation of the fetus and many other facts that God has mentioned in the Qur’an to prove the authenticity of the Qur’an. That is, from God, and to establish an argument against the people and upon those who heard of this, God is the one who created you and He is the one who will send you after the grave to the reckoning. Have you not wondered one day who holds the heavens and the earth to pass away, and who provides for you and who created you from dust, and where you are when you sleep and this is an example of the grave And sleeping after it is an example of the resurrection of the resurrection
