I bought a modded Fulldrive from them that went bad. They couldn’t fix it for whatever reason so they sent me a brand new Double Barrel for free as a replacement. Great customer service!

Bought myself a bonsai after seeing this video.. What an incredible pedal. sounds great in front of An AX8 and value of money is unmatched for its pedaltype!
I'm thinking about buying this just for the TS7 setting. I have a TS7, which is my favorite Tube Screamer, thanks to the "Hot" switch. I wish that hadn't been discontinued.
The reason the TS7 has so much gain is that JHS decided to go with the sound this pedal gives you with the "hot" switch engaged. It's a great deal because of that switch. With that switch in the off position, it sounds like a TS9. They're still available cheap, and the main foot switch sucks, but they're more versatile than other TS pedals, and cheaper!
I like the concept of this pedal. You can find the right TS that will work for whatever amp you have. I wish they made an overdrive that has MIDI capability to have it switch on to an assigned channel of your amp. Single stomp to boost that channel without having to tap dance live. I want to have this boost my 3rd channel on my Mesa Nomad to add more gain to that channel for example. It would be cool to step on the pedal and it automatically switches the desired channel. I guess like it was linked to the Mesa channel switch. .
i'm looking to build my first pedal board, going from using the quad cortex, so hopefully this pedal will give me a few different usable tones. thanks for the review!

Yesterday I thought: yeah, okay, I don't like tubescreamers. Rather a Blues Driver, Klon- or Dumble-style one. But turns out I like the OD-1, Exar and JHS settings on the Bonsai. So the conclusion is: I do like tubescreamers, just not so much the 808 / TS9. Which is odd, 'cause i'ts what people think of when they think tubescreamer... Guess I'll have to buy this pedal. I mean, you can buy and OD-1x from Boss, but that JHS-mod-sound... And hey, maybe in ten years, I prefer the 808-style. So yeah. Better get me one of these. Thanks for changing my mind in a quick video, I guess!
LOVE that strat sound yo're getting. Great intro track too. Pete, any thoughts on releasing all these wonderful intros as jam tracks? I'm sure there would be a LOT of interest?
I really dig the concept of the pedal. However, I don‘t really see the point in offering an OD-1 mode only with symmetrical clipping. I mean, asymmetrical clipping is what sets the Boss Overdrive pedals apart from the other ones...
I've watched a few demos on this pedal ... and yours is the best (per usual) but I honestly don't hear a super difference in all the selections .. you make then sound different with your playing .. but for the caveman picker like myself I'm pretty sure I would get zero tonal difference out of the different options
I found the JHS Muffuletta works the same way. Some of the cloned Big Muff circuits work better with some guitars/amps than others. Once I find the Big Muff clone that works with the particular rig I'm using, I more or less stick with it.
