Hanging up on Rob Scallion while he was still talking was the most metal thing Josh has ever done. Rob using a JHS pedal as a phone was pretty reciprocal though.
As someone who used to love KoRn but then my puberty started to fade away and now I’m learning to appreciate Third Eye Blind. I really appreciated that.
As a marketing person, I appreciate the effort you guys put into teasing and building anticipation for the announcement. I saw the content in passing, but when the product finally dropped, I paid attention and it led me here. Congrats on the release! 👏
OK I have a really dumb idea for a pedal, it's a three in one: Rat Pack, Bonsai and Muffuletta with 12 knobs, and 4 footswitches The first foot switch has 6 modes 1st mode- Bonsai into Muffuletta into Rat Pack 2nd mode- Bonsai into Rat Pack into Muffuletta 3rd mode- Muffuletta into Bonsai into Rat Pack 4th mode- Muffuletta into Rat Pack into Bonsai 5th mode- Rat Pack into Bonsai into Muffuletta 6th mode- Rat Pack into Muffuletta into Bonsai The other three footswitches turn on and off the 3 effects with true bypass so you can get all the combinations of one and two pedals
crazy how this video is so fun to watch, so many pedal companies release new pedals and demo them in boring videos that nobody actually watch through, this is the correct way to make people want to buy these pedals!
After the demo I informed my classically trained flautist wife that she is now a 64 year old “HEAVY METAL HAG”. I am a 74 year old “DIRT BAG BLUES MAN”. I play class A smallish amps. I use the tweed Bassman guitar setting, mid up,up and up. No bass or treble. Wah volume & a Holy Grail reverb pedals. I will be adding your new hard drive pedal as soon as possible for my blues/ metal EP. “Old man angry “ featuring the single “Death might Take the Edge Off”. Trademark
All you got to do is find a sexy early 20's singer to be the face of the band, and to connect with a younger audience, and you got yourself the next nirvana!!
i’ll be honest. i bought this pedal from GC with the intention of trying it out and returning it. but i decided to keep it! it is so good and versatile. i use it with everything at 12’ then both Mids knobs at 9’. works amazing as a second stage drive and also before a boost to push your amp while maintaining headroom. definitely a good buy. and then later hearing about the engineer that passed, it makes the pedal more special. i hope he’s up there seeing at least one person really really appreciates his work! this is the drive i’ve been looking for for a long time
I just got my Hard Drive -- I chose the tan version -- and I can honestly say this is one of the best pedals I own! It is SO SO SO versatile, I can't believe how many sounds I can get out of this, from Rat to DS1, to a Metallica 80s sound. I went through and did screenshots of Josh's settings for each of the sounds... it's worth doing!
I loved the chaotic vibe of this video. Perfect timing, acting, playing, everything. Then, 'Cliff lives on' broke me. This episode is excelent. I love you guys. ❤
Your humor in this video really brightened my Monday morning after a weekend of moving. Every Owner of a Lonely Heart stab broke me, especially when I forgot about them and then boom, there it goes again.
@@jhspedals I have an idea for a pedal, it's like an octave fuzz, but instead of folding over the signal to create harmonics 1 octave (12 semitones) up, it folds over the signal to create harmonics at both 3 semitones up and 7 semitones up, which, in conjunction with the original pitch played, will create a 'minor' sound. So it would be a 'minor fuzz'...
They won't do anything that would take an engineer with more experience. I don't know why but that's probably why all their digital pedals are super basic and everything else is analog dirt. And I imagine Keeley and Benson helped them with the Bass preamp.
This is by far the most hilarious and entertaining JHS video ever. If I am ever having a crappy day, I could just play this and almost instantly laugh my ass off. Thanks for this!
Yeah it’s funny, the jcm900 has been hated. Important to remember how trends work and try things for yourself and not care about what the consensus is about what sounds or looks good.
Pedal sounds righteous. Great way to remember Cliff. As always though, I love how even though this is a big announcement for his pedal company, its still 20 minutes of Josh taking the piss out of the internet.
totally freaking awesome! it is more like an entertainment show these days than just "nerding out"! Love the channel, the pedals and Josh + his team... please do more like these!
Woah, I knew Cliff. That is so sad, he was such a sweet person I just found this out not too long ago. He worked on my amps for years before he got a job with y'all. ( >:( stole muh amp tech ). I was already sold on this pedal but I'm especially going to have to buy one now, his handwriting is still on the speakers in my amp. RIP brother
I would read a book from you. Be it on the history of the distortion pedal through the decades or on pedals across the board. I love your enthusiasm for circuitry!
I remember when I felt bad that I just didn't own enough JHS Pedals. You know, to support the cause and effort Josh put forth for the world of pedals. Now I own my fair share of JHS Pedals, even V 1 & V2 pedals, because Josh can't stop. While I am peddling my behind off to hawk my launch money to acquire new and exciting JHS Pedal releases. Does Josh even know I exist? That he gets my whole allowance most of the months of the year. I've had to start therapy to cope with dealing with buying 2nd JHS Pedals, instead of first owner, brand new pedals. Just stomped on and strung out. 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
Hey guys, that "cheap office keyboard" you smashed in the intro is a gold mine to mechanical keyboard collectors, and it broke my heart to see it... Those switches go for $2-4 per key, keycaps go for at least $150.
Dear Josh, what a nice guitarist, pedal builder and communicator you are. Your playing reminds me David Gilmour because you always put the instrument at the service of a melody with a tone from heaven and nice interact with your mates. You inspired me to build a new pedal board from 6 units to 14 (I've just got out every pedal I had in boxes) Congratulations for your work!
Just received this pedal from Sweetwater today after ordering the moment i watched this video. This pedal is legit! Totally captures the late 90s/early 2000s tone I grew up with. Now I'm looking at 7 strings.
Love how every riff ends with Owner of a Lonely Heart
Owner Of A Lonely Heart Riff = MTV Spot Riff
It makes me want to write a dozen songs that end with that riff.
I like these types of riffs...they are Much Better Than A.....ok I will stop with the corny reference.
And how it's never addressed 🤣
It got me every time. 😂🤣😂🤣

That Blind to Semi-Charmed Life transition had me in stitches!
Every JHS video is 35% product description, 65% comedy but 100% groovy!
You are a great team!
My respect to Cliff
“Third Eye Korn, Blind” had me 😂
When Metallica said, “Woah, heaven let your light shine down,” I really felt that.
That's awesome!
It really touched my old crusty heart as well
I love that part when James says "yeah"
@@briangarcia8384 Perfect joke.
Conflating Metallica with a cheesey pathetic Christian band, even as a joke, is revoltingly offensive.
@@trevorD1156 I wasn’t aware that Collective Soul was a Christian band. I always saw them on VH1. I consider them VH1 music.
Man, what an amazing tribute to Cliff. Sick video, had me just cracking up half the time. I gotta get one of these
I lost it at “when it’s like a wet spaghetti noodle. Just no korn.” “Ok I’m set for some Korn” and then breaks into semi charmed kind of life
"Semi charmed" 🤣
Doot doot doot, doot do do do.
The unreasonable frustration at having Blind go into doot doot doot.... I almost threw the toilet paper. Sooo pretty metal?

The Cliff memorial is a great touch. This is awesome, folks! Good work!
I dunno how you guys are going to outdo this one. Probably the best and most entertaining JHS video yet. Congrats on the sick new pedal folks!
