Mojo, I watch a lot of shooting videos and I can honestly say you're the only one putting out videos that I've seen that has actually helped me become a better shooter. Thank you!
That's a great analogy for bringing sights into the eyeline. One I heard that helped me was along the lines of "When you're on the computer, you don't follow the mouse cursor with your eyes. You bring it to what you're looking at. Let your hand-eye coordination be just that; HAND & EYE coordination." Love the content as always. I've been trying to find a spot on public land to do this type of stuff with the boys
There's just something about the way mojo teaches that is just stupidly relatable for my brain. I grasp concepts faster (mentally at least, physically applying them by myself is a different matter 🤣) than i have with any other coach i've either watched online or taken classes from. Keep it up my guy, really appreciate these down and dirty mechanics videos
A three minute section of this video (starting at 12:00) taught me more about proper handgun grip than any other video I've seen. Wish I could hop into the screen and get instruction from you Mojo
Mr. Mojo. You are an excellent teacher sir. Its not just the fact you break skills down to a finite level in a way the student gets it. Its also in your reaction to the student when the lights come on for them and its obvious, they are picking up what you are putting down.
MOJO!!!!!! i love your teaching aspects. the fact tht you are not changing his shooting, just telling him to move slight positions of the grip on the gun, purely amazing teaching and i love it!!!!! thank you for teaching the newbies!!!! it helps me although im good at want i train for. thank you from the comunity!!!!!
Mojo is the definition of a great teacher. I fucking love to watch his videos. English is not my 1st language, but I understand every single thing he explains. Makes me a better shooter for sure. Mojo actually takes time to learn away his skills on the range on the go. You can clearly see the shooters getting better in the video. Legend.
It's really cool all your friends offer the pilot different options on how to do things. No one way is the right way. It would be fun to go to a range day with y'all and learn.
Dude, first saw you on Garand Thumb. Those transitions are smooth and moving from AR to pistol was so smooth. Fast but presenting the weapons was so smooth but fast.
i always wait for Mojo to post a new video then i watch it like 4 times. So good at giving my 29 yr old ass the elementary explanation of things. love it!!
Thanks Mojo,. That was great seeing someone struggling and you able to point to what hes able to do better, that's super helpful as 99% of us don't shoot like MOJO and are more like the guy in the tan pants and it's super helpful to see how you can reach his level which most of us truly are at, and we can see a better example of how to improve upon MOJO status
Great video, like always! 😁 I loved the head to head competition towards the end, especially the second run when the pilots team was behind, but caught and passed the other team for the win. 😆
I know you've heard it before, mojo you're an awesome dude. You're very patient and brief when training dudes. I love that you correct the mistakes just to get them in the ball park to understand. Do you have any tips on training people? I know what I'm doing and how to explain and accomplish it, but I feel like I'm lacking I'm coaching. I know braking it down barney style helps, but some things require a l bit of finesse.
I need a range day with this man😂 I learn so much from him and watching this I learned so much more even though I’ve heard a lot of the same things before from him it’s insane😂 I love it
U guys need get the pilot guy to get a magpul k2 or something for his AR he's got the standard grip. Which has a horrible slant. That's the first thing I change on my ARs and AKs is the magpul k2 grip. It just work better for me my trigger finger is strait to the trigger instead of putting my wrist in a bind it will start hurting after couple hours of drills with that steep angle with that grip hes got. But honestly he did pretty good for first time running drills ever. No to bad looks like he's got alot of potential. Especially with Mojo training with him taking time to teach him. And u guys need talk him into getting a thigh strap. Looks like when he goes to draw his pistol it's flaring away from his leg slowing him down. But looks like it's going take him a while to stop crouching down not using his body mechanics. I've noticed people who's shot like that a long time. It's hard to get them out of the habit. I used to bend my legs some to running drills with rifles. But honestly watching Lucas and Mojo and Garand Thumb I've learned just from watching there videos. I take what I learn from u guys and try it out when I go to train. And honestly I appreciate the knowledge .
Couldn't help but notice you we're hitting the slide release with you support hand while reloading the pistol (32:56) . Is the idea to build consistency across pistol/ ar platforms for sending the slide home? Or is it a compromise so you don't have to break your grip on the pistol with your dominant hand to reach the slide release?
Hey brother! So my thing is with the 2011 platform my primary hand thumb can’t reach the slide release so this is the most efficient way for me to send the slide forward. As it pertains to other handguns I have no problem switching between a Glock or anything but I can potentially see the translation between this and using my support hand thumb on an AR bolt release!
Great work gentlemen. My takeaway was yawl need to work more on calling your shoots by checking your work through your optic instead of trusting your feelings. Our feelings lie to use all the time. Thank you for sharing.
I’m now retired 36+ years as Leo, and we started every qualifications, cold, 1st thing , then had our range day, then finished the day with qualifications again
I Love your content Don! Can you please tell me what is your preferred EDC for a pistol ? Also what kind of watch do you have? I would like to buy one like yours please. I always watch your videos when I go to the shooting range or after work
Hahah we press really hard here and at work not going into a new position with a gun youre trying to get up. Have to have your system up and working before going to the next position but thats a work thing so we just try and apply it here
Genuine question here mojo. In one of your older vids you talked about how you weren’t a cop anymore. Just wondering what you do now. Are you with another agency or something? Just thought about it and couldn’t remember if you said something about it. But love the vids
@Milspec_Mojo bet that took all of 5 seconds for someone to snatch you up. Keep the good stuff coming. If you ever find yourself living in eastside of King County. Let me know. T&P Cleaning. I'll knock your gutters out for you.
@@anferny_m just because they call it a duty pistol doesn't make it one. These are not gtw pistols they are single action all metal hammer fired guns. They are not practical or reliable for duty/fighting use. It's just so people like him can look more tacticool.

Same, it's so efficient and quick too. Definitely not a skill everyone has!
I always enjoy listening to you get excited about others progress, one of the marks of a truly good teacher in my opinion. Keep up the good work!
There's no ego or selfishness. He's so excited to see everybody else's progress and that is infectious positive energy.
The difference in recoil at 12:00 and the reactions were great.
20:01 when everyone thought their video froze

Awesome work guys! Really enjoy learning from these cold starts👌
The recoil control discussion/instruction was some solid instruction, I’ll be using that method this week at our dept range qual for sure!
You are an exceptional teacher sir.

Great class Mojo. How's the Huxwrx Flow 556k performing for you?
Great can! I still like my Griffin cans more butttttt I’m doing my part and playing with the huxwrx and getting time behind it
I was in the bushes, getting some sweet sweet mustache pics.
Bro I wish you could swing by our ranges here in Puerto Rico and teach a class or two. I'd love to assist!
Do u have a website with a list of yr training classes?

What do you think about new AW Ban in WA?
Unconstitutional as fuck.
Butttt because of work, I’ll leave it at that brother lol

The recoil with the handgun content is gold! Cut that out and make it a video by itself...

what happened to buddy's hand?
whats that shirt you wearing?
Were you only loading 10 rounds into a mag due to the new Wa law??
He loaded 10 for the drill. Making the rifle “go down” to force a transition rather than just pretending it went “click no bang”
